Chapter<> 1: Death = Isekai

Samael Morrigan never imagined his life would become one of those awful Anime's his roommate liked to watch.

But... To be fair he also hadn't imagined his own life ending in one of the same exact 'cliches' that same exact roommate had insisted on lecturing him about despite his insistence that he wasn't interested and he found every word that left his mouth to be very stupid. Of course, Samael would very much regret not paying attention to him... Who knows? It might have even saved him from eating the front bumper of a Truck, or Truck-kun as his friend calls It.

It also might have helped him keep calm when he suddenly awoke to find himself in a pure black Horizon filled with nothingness.

Without a body to speak of...

Samael had done what every rational being would have done when confronted with his situation. He'd begun to panic and just make a tour of every stage of grief there was multiple times, rational thought process all but forgotten in favor of a scrambled, incoherent anarchy.

Not that the part of his thoughts that were actually coherent were of much help mind you. With it playing the last moments of his life over and over on repeat with startling clarity, or filling his head with horrible images of a horrible afterlife Samael thought he'd long since stopped believing, or just being a general mess of confusion and fear that gave him no actual way out of the... bind he was in.

Oh, how Samael had wished this was all nothing more than a dream.

He'd known that wasn't the case though, even if he wasn't sure just  why  he was certain of it, which had just made everything worse.

After who knows how long, golden light filled the void and blinded Samael of sight and feelings. As of now, all he is a husk of his former self, who has accepted Death and what's comes after.

" Welcome, Samael Morrigan~" When the light died down, he found himself sitting under a towering Sakura tree. In front of him, is a "being" that seems to change appearances every split second.

"...God?" Has God finally come to bring him to hell?

" No, my good Sir! I am the Great God Of Pleasure: Lux!" The being said, doing some Jojo poise.

"... So no hell?" Does he get a free pass?

" Nope! But I do have a proposal that is to your liking~!" Floating around him, the being explained joyously.

" Proposal to my liking?... Let's Hear It." He got nothing else to do, so why not talk with this being.

" Great!" Waving Its hands(?), the void shook, followed by a headache assaulting Samael. It feels like millions of ants are going to war In his head, stabbing, and stabbing his head, over and over again.

" Argh!"

" Sorry~! But like you humans say: No pain, no gain! So fight through It!"

" Argghh!" Soon changes started taking form. Samael's former dark brown short hair began turning pitch black, a black that seems to blend in with the void. His former Amber eyes, altered to a beautiful purple color that seems to pull beings' souls out of their bodies. Black otherworldly mist stirred up around him, In a protective manner.

" Hahhhh...Hahhhh...What...Hahh, was that?" Panting hard, Samael asked as the black mist disappeared from around him.

" You know the Shadow Monarch~?"

"...Shadow Monarch? The one from Solo Leveling?"

" Yep, that one~"

" So that's what you did to me?"

" Hehehe~" Drifting by Samael, the being chuckled," Yes. Welcome Shadow Monarch - Samael Morrigan, First of his name, Caretaker of the Void~"

" Caretaker?" Confused, Samael asked, as he sat up.

" UMU~ Due to unknown reasons the Goddess Of The Void gave up Godhood and became a Mortal on a random Earth~ Though even not as a Void-Goddess, she was already In the top ten as the most powerful Goddess we ever had, so I don't have to worry about her~ She's a big girl, she can take care of herself~" The being explained.

" I see..." Honestly not knowing what to say, Samael let out softly.

" Anywho~ About that Proposal we talked about earlier~?"

" I'm listening."

" UMU~ All I want you to do is bring Chaos throughout the worlds you will appear In~"

" Bring Chaos?" Truly, that's not all the being wants, right?

" Yes. That's all. So what's your answer~?"

" And If I refuse?"

" Easy." Glowing a bright golden aura, the being smiled 'purely'," I erase you and ask another random dead person~"

" So It's just my luck, you picked me?"

" If you want to believe It like that, then sure~"

"..." Thinking about this rather simple easy quest, Samael's lips curled up," I Accept." He's dead anyways, so why not have some fun?

" Great~!" Snapping Its fingers, a golden sphere appeared In Its right hand.

" This is?" Samael asked, feeling a dark and profound sense of corruption and depravity from the golden sphere, that glitched In and out of reality.

" A little help~ Don't worry, It won't bite unless you tell It too~" With this explanation, the being shoved the golden sphere Into Samael, who blacked out the second the sphere touched him.

" Good luck my friend~" Picking up Samael, the being yeeted him through a golden magic portal.
