Diagon Alley

Dumbledore, Tom, and Jack stood in front of a red-brick wall; they had just arrived at this point in their walk and had come to a halt, facing a red wall.

"Did we make a mistake?" Tom was visibly perplexed, as he had the sense that Dumbledore was a powerful and capable man. However, this incident caused me to have some reservations.

Jack remained silent and turned to face Dumbledore, as if expecting him to explain the problem.

"No, we are in the correct location." When Dumbledore saw Tom's reaction, he laughed and took his wand from his pocket, softly tapping it on the bricked wall in front of them.

The bricks on the wall before them began to wobble and separate one by one, revealing a completely different world to both Tom and Jack.

Before their eyes and ears, a flurry of colours and a cacophony of noises appeared and sounded.

There was a cobblestoned alley in front of them with numerous wizards and witches rushing around in colourful and odd costumes, as well as a variety of businesses with people coming in and out, the shops sold a variety of products and items.

There were also restaurants and major institutions and locations such as Gringotts bank and Ollivanders wand shop.

The entire place had a vibrant and frantic vibe.

When Jack looked at the scene in front of him, he noticed a world of difference from London, which he had lived for the previous 11 years, for the city was always dull and depressing.

Soon, there was also children's laughter and the wizard's arguments, with the occasional flying owls and teens gathered in front of the new broom displayed in the stores.

Dwarfs were also seen walking about and odd creatures that resemble a hag trying to hide in the shadows.

The vibrancy of life in this place made Jack feel much better than he had previously.

"Welcome to diagon alley!" With a smile and a dramatic wave of his hands, Dumbledore exclaimed.

'He can be quite dramatic at times.' While he can already see the future old Dumbledore through him right now, Jack chuckled to himself.

"Here." Dumbledore eventually took two black pouches from his coat pocket and handed them to them. "It has enough money in it for you to get supplies and even have a snack, which is my special treat." He gave them generously.

When Jack and Tom opened the pouch, they were greeted with numerous golden coins, which caused them both to pause and fall into a state of mild shock.

'I am filthy rich!' Jack had become engrossed in his own inner drama, and he was also experiencing numerous delusions despite the fact that he knew the money would not last till the evening. However, this didn't seem to bother him in the least, as he spent his childhood in an orphanage in very cramped and difficult situation.

He really need money!

"Come on,"

They both took their first steps into the wizarding world as Dumbledore motioned them to follow him.

Jack noticed a number of other students milling about in the masses, clutching books and conversing with one another.

They eventually came to a halt and greeted Dumbledore with respect; most of the students' gazes drifted past both him and Tom, some with contempt and interest, while the majority were simply apathetic.

When Jack observed, Tom regained his composure and cocked his head high, his eyes showing a slight arrogant attitude.

Tom, on the other hand, seemed to be in the midst of a young master phase, thought Jack to himself.

Then they started doing what they'd come to do in the first place.

They went out to shopping!

Jack found this trip to be eye-opening, as he visited a variety of stores and met a diverse range of people.

And he was reminded of Dumbledore's actual popularity once more.

Everyone they met recognised him and greeted him.

They did, in fact, purchase a large number of items during this time.

They first proceeded to buy trunks that were enchanted with extension charm, and there were much too many regulations to fulfil while doing so!

This alone consumed a significant amount of our time. The reason, explained by Dumbledore, was that the ministry had tight control over anything relating to extension charm.

Tom received a brown trunk, while Jack received a black trunk made of wood.

Soon, Tom became to be impatient and wanted to speed up their journey.

But Jack and Dumbledore ignored him, and together they proceeded to Madam Malkin's Robes to get my new outfits.

And, yes, there was this shop, even during this time.

It took us another 30 minutes, much of which was spent listening to the stories told by the ladies who took our measurements, who were pretty chatty and cheerful.

Jack used this opportunity to learn a lot of local tales and news from them; however, they were overly exuberant, as he emerged from the shop with swollen cheeks and laughs of tom filled with mockery. When Dumbledore realised his condition, he smiled as well.

The rest of the time was spent rushing around, buying everything described in the letter, from a cauldron to a telescope.

The most significant thing was that they brought a scale!

A freaking scale!

As he held the silver scale in his hand, Jack felt the backwards of the wizarding world again!

The next stop on their shopping binge was the most crucial.

Jack examined the shop in front of him, with a label,

'Ollivanders wand shop.'

'Makers of fine wand since 383 BC'.

One wand was specially exhibited in a stand with a red cloth on top in the display window.

Dumbledore and Tom were close behind him, pausing for a moment and looking about the shop.

When he looked at the wand, Jack's thoughts began to wander once more.

He despised every single wand in the store, and he didn't even have to look at them to know it.

All of the wands are crafted from natural materials from earth. They may be excellent and great to some wizards, but they fall well short of his expectations, which have been elevated since he learned that this is also a marvel world.

He had already envisioned the ideal wand for himself: a wand made of world tree wood with a core made of dragon heartstrings, not just any dragon, but the one that gnawed the world tree's roots itself.

However, Jack's fantasies were swiftly shattered as he remembered Asgard's all-father Odin. His dreams will be difficult to realise because he is unfamiliar with the character of Odin in this reality.

However, he will almost certainly never allow a mortal to approach the world tree.

For a brief moment, Jack felt very uncomfortable as he glanced up at the pure blue sky. However, he didn't detect any abnormalities right away, so he stopped looking and went to the store before him.
