Opening up about troubles

Chris clutched her abused cheeks and pouted at Emma, "Is this any way to treat your elders?"

"But you told me you weren't old." Replied Emma as she turned to look down at the cup in front of her, she started fiddling with it with her left hand and placed her right hand on the seat she was sitting on.

"I'm not old-" replied Chris with a somewhat agitated expression.

"Exactly~" said Emma, interrupting whatever Chris was about to say. She raised her gaze back to Chris' face whilst still fiddling with the cup and smiled at her.

Chris furrowed her eyebrows and closed her eyes whilst giving Emma a helpless expression, a smile on her face and her hands on the table. Chris got back to the more important topic at hand.

"So… about what you saw outside." Chris started again, trying to get an actual response out of Emma and trying not to get led into a different conversation like before.
