Chapter – 25: Realization

[Rei POV]

"Success! hahaha!" I laugh out loud, "Finally I have found a way, finally!" I start to laugh somewhat hysterically.

[Beep! Warning! Emotion quotient exceeding limits! Please calm down.]

[Beep! Warning! Emotion quotient ...]

[Beep! Warning! …]

A series of warnings from the A. I chip interrupts my good mood. Calming myself down, I frown and think how easily my emotions were swayed. If not for the A. I chip, I would have definitely done something stupid.

Now that I am calm, when I think about it, even though this experiment was a success, subconsciously I don't seem to want to use the seal immediately. It's like warning me somehow that something bad might happen if I do it right away, but when I try to find why the answer always escapes me. Is this the sixth sense? intuition?

'It seems I have missed something,' I ponder seriously. However, no matter how hard I try, I couldn't think of what could go wrong If I start using the Seal of Ouroboros right away. After thinking for a long time, I decided to give up.

'A. I chip, simulate how long do I need to activate my eighth gene?'

'Oh, my activation time is shorter than that Genin, that's interesting, I wonder why?' I ponder, 'Must be because of all the time I have spent training after hitting my limit.'

I already threw him out of the Origin space back into his house, not before removing the Seal of course. The fewer people that knew of the seal the better.

"Dammit, I could have developed my Sharingan to the third tomoe before starting at the academy two months later.." I was cursing out loud when I abruptly freeze.

"THE ACADEMY DAMMIT…" I shout suddenly.

From what I have seen, I can say with certainty that for someone to become Hokage, you need to be taught by one in his early days. Like Hiruzen taught Tsunade and Jiraiya. One became the Hokage herself whereas the other taught Minato who became one as well.

If I am to guess, I would say that while Hiruzen was thinking of picking Minato for the Hokage position, he must have also thought of selecting someone whom Minato can pass on the position to as his student. For which he obviously picked Kakashi later.

What's this got to do with my issue? the answer is obviously Team Minato!

Doesn't it look way too similar to Team Kakashi? Both have one genius Genin, one girl who is just dead weight, and finally, an idiot who is head over heels for his teammate who couldn't care less about him.

Why would Hiruzen do this? The reason that is given to everyone is that he wants to pair the best and the worst so the team is balanced? That's absolute bullshit! It's a shinobi village, the stronger the teams the difficult missions they can take and grow faster to become powerful Shinobi. Why would he want a mediocre team? They might as well just pick names out of a hat instead!

In the case of Team Kakashi, it could be said that maybe Hiruzen wanted to let Kakashi take care of Naruto, the jinchuuriki of the village, and at the same time keep an eye on Sasuke in case he turns against the village because of his brother. Sakura was basically just there to control Naruto. Hiruzen must have known that as long as it's Sakura who says something, Naruto being a love-struck fool will definitely listen. And Sakura who is the head of the Sasuke Fangirl Club will do everything that Sasuke says.

It must be the same for Team Minato too. He wanted Minato to take care of Kakashi after Sakumo committed suicide while keeping an eye on Obito? But why would he want to do that? Until the Third Ninja War, Obito didn't even have a Sharingan. He went so far as to place Rin in the same team to control him.

But what's so special about Obito?

If it's just once, it might be a coincidence. But a series of coincidences? It's one thing for Madara to pick Obito as his successor, but for Hiruzen to place importance on him too? It's no longer just a coincidence.

'It proves that both Hiruzen and Madara have ways of seeing if someone is talented enough to awaken Mangekyo! I mean it makes sense, with the long history of Uchiha, how could they not have found a way to measure one's talent? and Senju being their eternal enemies should have knowledge of it too. Finally, the village being built by both Senju and Uchiha, how can it not have a way to check too?'

'And I also know exactly how to determine this talent, Chakra!'

'So, sometime during the academy days, Hiruzen will try to collect chakra from all the Uchiha enrolled! And what's the best time if not when they test our chakra before initiation!'

Now I understand why my sixth sense was warning me all this time. If I change my chakra now, and it somehow appears unique or worse they can't determine my talent at all then it will be like painting a huge target on my back.

"Dammit, I need to think of a way to avoid their meddling and I cannot waste these two months too…" I curse one last time.
