14 Surprised

(A/N: Also my fault for not making it this clear, but I'll let you know that the MC would always, like always use mind reading to other people. I may not write every thoughts he read but I would let you know that our MC do not stop on reading minds.

Also, a reminder for those people who forgot, our MC is OP with his sunshine, but if you think he's as strong as the original escanor already, then I have to dissapoint you. He is still in the process of making the energy from the sun that he absorbed as his own as to not damage his body or his soul.

He would be almost the same with diana in terms of strength at most. Don't worry, if you think I'm nerfing the MC so much, rest assured. As after some events I would make a timeskip where he would be 18. Which is the start of his journey to become truly OP. His sunshine isn't his only strength by the way.

Also for the mind reading thing, the MC wouldn't be able to read everyone's mind at the same time ok? For example, if he's in a crowd full of people or amazonians in his case, he wouldn't be able to read each and every one of their thoughts at the same time, he would go crazy before he can accomplish that. He can read anyone's mind as long as he focus his attention to someone.)

After saying his thanks to hippolyta once again, aron slowly flew back down from the platform, to where he was previously standing at.

Staring at his back, hippolyta nod in an appreciative way as she also peek at her daughter with the corner of her eye as she internally said. 'Well... you pass, I guess'. And smiled for a brief period before she turned back to her usual noble expression.

Aron who's midway from landing to the ground, stopped for a brief moment before he unknowingly smiled while facing his back to hippolyta, as he then safely landed to where he was previously standing at. Lulu also moved to where he is and moved closer to him as she then repeatedly nudge his side with her elbow while saying.

"Did not expect you have that in you, brat". She grinned while still nudging his side teasingly.

Aron can feel his face twitch with the word "brat". 'I'm mentatlly 30! for god's sake!' He thought, except that he spend those 10 years being a child again. Aron sighed as he then looked at Lulu in the eyes.

Lulu, seeing aron staring at her with no emotion in his eyes, suddenly felt cold, as she feels like she would regret teasing him now in the future. Meanwhile, Aron was currently thinking on how to punish the girl for teasing him when he got older, he thought of many things, the idea of spanking Lulu also did not fail to pass through his mind. He was so into his thoughts that he did not notice Lulu already sweating buckets as she feel some cold breeze passed through her behind.

'Eeeiipp'. She inwardly yelped while backing away instinctively from aron as she touch her behind in a defensive manner while looking blamingly at him.

Aron was quite surprised by this. 'Can she read my mind?' He doubtfully asked himself as he then started considering some precautions for other people from reading his mind. Thankfully the system asnwered his doubts.

[With me here host, even if the strongest Esper in DC universe try to read your mind, they would automatically fail without a doubt. Remember that I was made through your desires and regrets. One of your regrets in your past life was how naive and easy to read you are, so the system acquire the power to block literally everything related to other people reading your mind.]

Aron nodded, he already knew about the use of his regrets becoming his advantage through the system, it's just that he didn't know he has that kind of regret. Now that his doubts were answered, the question is, how is lulu acting like that now?

[It's a women thing, host]. The system answered with her robotic voice

"Huh?" He asked confused.

[You wouldn't get it host]

"Wha- what would I not get?" He asked, but the system totally ignored him this time, so he just sighed and looked at lulu while immediatley using his innocent smile to make her relax. Seeing his smile, Lulu slowly calmed down as the feeling of the cold breeze passing through her behind was now gone.

While Lulu and Aron were still deep into their conversation, they noticed that the amazons around them started scattering away in an orderly manner. Majority of the amazons went to the benches to the side of the huge Arena which let them see everything from there. Thousands of them were currently watching them from there, ranging from young to adult amazonas. While only a hundreds or so amazons remained in the center, including Aron.

He only know a few people that decided to participate, one is Lulu while the other is Diana. Diana was now far away from where he is and she was currently talking with a beautiful blond haired amazona which he identified as Mala. The one who achieved second place just after diana in the previous competition about who would become the Amazon's champion to venture the Man's world. Or so he heard from Lulu.

Lulu told him that Mala was with Diana when they found a man washed up in the shore many years ago. Lulu herself did not remember that man as she was too young back then to remember. Aron knew they were talking about steve trevor and base on his findings for the past month, as well as thanks for diana's confirmation. He found out that diana only venture the outside world to participate a war and help steve trevor. She also mentioned fighting against her half brother, Ares that time.

He also find out that in this timeline, Trevor indeed died but Diana has no feelings to him or whatsoever, she only felt a bit saddened back then as she consider trevor as her friend.

Aron stopped conversing with Lulu as they both decided to listen to the instructions hippolyta was currently giving to them.

Above the platform of the largest stage in the Arena, Hippolyta was giving the instructions to them, using magic to influence the volume of her voice so that everyone can hear her clearly.

"For the first round of this competition, all three-hundred and thirty participants would need to battle in this elemination round. This round where all of you would be fighting each other all at once until only fifteen of you or so remain".

"And anyone who would be stepping out of this huge stage would be considered disqualified, anyone who would be disabled would not be able to continue and anyone who admit defeat would automatically lost".

"Aside from the rules that I have mentioned. You can use any weapon or skills you have as long as there will be no deaths or permanent injuries inflicted to your opponents. Did I make myself clear?".

""""Yes, our Queen""""". All amazons said in unison, while Aron only gave a nod of understanding.

"Everyone can now proceed to the stage". A royal guard instructed them beside hippolyta, now that their queen are done with the instructions, it was now her duty to be the host of this battles.

Everyone immediately went to the biggest and largest stage, Aron didn't know how big and wide it is but it sure can let three-hundred and thirty people stand on it while still giving a lot of space to manuever for the upcoming battles.

After organizing and fixing their armors a bit, the amazons then all choosed their weapons. Some were bringing bow and arrows, while some wielded spears and some uses swords. All three-hundred and thirty participants distanced themselves to each other as all of them were now considered as enemies above this stage.

All their demeanors changed as they began to exude their battle intents while gripping their weapons tightly as they observe each other warily. Meanwhile, Aron was somewhere at the stage as he and Lulu separated with each other when they went up the stage. They also promised to not hold back even if they encounter each other in the stage. Aron was still wearing his anbu outfit but no mask and unlike the others who were weilding either swords or spears, he was holding a kunai instead.

(A/N: Our MC's so poor, he can only afford a kunai now.)

The atmosphere at the stage were so tense as the participants await the signal for the elemination round to begin. Seeing that all participants are ready, the royal guard that serve as the host of this battle looked at hippolyta.

Hippolyta looked at each amazon participating, including aron, seeing them all ready, hippolyta nodded at the royal guard.

Seeing her queen nod, the royal guard also nod as she then raised her hand and signal the other royal guard to rang the gong as she then yelled. "Begin!"

*Bong*

With that signal, the participants at the stage immediately dashed into each other. All hell broke loose as sparks can be seen everywhere caused by weapons colliding with each other.

*Shiing*

*Ping*

*Swoosh*

It was a very heated battle as muffled moans and grunts of pain reverberated at the stage as everyone tried their best to incapacitate one another. Various styles and techniques were used as the amazons showed their mastery on their chosen weapons.

*Swiish*

*Thud*

There are also amazons who show off their mastery in their bows as they shot their opponents skillfully while dodging an attack up close, as well as the way they make distance to the other opponents to give themselves a better aim.

All amazons that were spectating at the benches yelled in excitement seeing the heated battle in the stage, they all cheered whoever they want as seeing the battle made their bloods boil in anticipation.

Back at the ongoing battles. Somewhere on the stage, an amazon who was 7 foot tall, with huge muscles can be seen rampaging. She wielded a huge hammer that she use to either bash or blow her opponents off the stage. She was currently sorrounded by 6 other amazons, but no matter what they do, the 7 foot tall amazon can't be beaten so easily as it seems like she's even winning against them.

"Aaaaahhhhh". Yelling a warlike cry, the tall amazon raised her hammer above her head and smashed it into the ground with full force.

*Booom*

Causing a cloud of dust to appear, while the amazons who were caught of guard were injured. Hearing the commotion, hippolyta glance at the tall amazon as she mumbled to herself. "Thymos tend to always lose control every time she engage in battles. *Sigh*, her being a barbarian in her last life was really affecting her till now. Still, with her being an amazon now, combined with her babarian like personality in battles only make her much more stronger". Hippolyta predicted thymos to be one of the 15 who would survive this elimination round as she believed that thymos's strength would have great advantage in this kinds of battles.

Other amazons also share their queens thought as they watch how thymos defeated her amazon sisters one after another. While Thymos was losing herself into the battle, a black shadow can be seen flashing into her direction without her knowing.

The shadow arrived infront of thymos in no time. Feeling a presence below her, thymos was about to use her hammer to smash whoever it was, alas, she's too late.

*Swoosh*

*Boom*

The shadow moved so fast and delivered a solid blow right into the tall thymos's stomach. Thymos opened her eyes wide as she cough out some saliva mixed with blood. The force behind the punch was so strong that it even lifted thymos slightly upwards. Feeling the pain in her stomach, thymos was about to do some countermeasure but she wasn't able to do so as she can see, at the corner of her eyes... a sun... closing into her.

*Boom*

She can only remember seeing a sun before she felt an intense pain swallowing her whole and a strong force accompanying it that blasted her off far to the stage as she then crashed into a random pillar as cracks formed behind her.

As almost everyone put their attention into thymos because of the earlier commotion, they also saw how a shadow just blasted thymos off far to the stage. Thanks to the help of the wind around, the dust of cloud that covered their visions vanished, and what they saw in it, surprised them.

'It's him?!' They all thought.

In the place where thymos was used to be standing at, was a small figure of a boy, which is exactly Aron, with what looked like a palm sized sun in his right hand and a kunai in his left. He was currently smiling as he looked into the stupefied amazons expression and said. "Hey, you guys were the one who taught me that in battle, you shouldn't daydream".

Everyone were surprised as they were caught off guard. They was just watching thymos defeat other contestants, then suddenly, someone blasted her off. And that someone was the little boy they got used to see everyday. It feels like this is the first time meeting this boy again as they looked at him with awe. Hippolyta was also quite stunned, but after a while, she composed herself and smile. 'See, so you really have that in you'. She thought as she strangely felt quite proud, but she didn't know of this.

Looking around, aron can see eight amazons around him as he then smiled in excitement, his zenkai stimulating his intent to battle as he took a stance with his kunai in front as he slowly asked. "Shall we dance?"
