Imprisoned by the CEO

“You will have to marry me and bear me a child.”  “What the fuck?!” Logic flew out of the window when Grace heard him say that. “Excuse me, what did you just say?”  Maybe, she was the one who had heard him wrong. It could have been anything except marrying him and giving him a child.  “You heard me,” Christian tsked, “but I’ll repeat it. Marry me and have my child.”  Her mouth opened and gaped at me. In her mind, she was trying to make sense about what was going on. How in the world had it come to be? What in the world could make the situation come to this?!  “No?” Grace replied, but then realized that the word was not firm enough. “No.” she said again. Christian frowned, and it seemed so innocent like he had not asked her the most unbelievable thing. “Why not? I thought you wanted to help me. You offered.”  “I offered my help, my brain, my support not my,” she hesitated, “stomach!”  What was the word for it? “Womb,” he provided.  “Yes!” She slapped her hand on the table. “You don’t get my womb!”   “I don’t?” He challenged.  “No!”  “What if helping me out means Lorelai coming out of a coma?”  Grace felt her heart drop. “What?”  Christian nodded. “What if helping me out, agreeing to what you have to do for me, means bringing your grandmother out of the, that she is in?”  ******** Grace  was one strong girl and with the people she put her trust in, that was only a small number, she knew she could conquer the world, or at least she thought to herself.  When her best friend proposed a deal that could change their lives, she made a decision that was going to be mutually beneficial to both of them.  But one renovation led to many and everything has been just a game, a manipulation from him. Everything was full of deceit, lies, planning and plotting against her. Every single thing, right down the fact that only he had been her friend…  Everything was a lie and she had been living it, willingly.  Tropes; Friends to lovers, office romance, best friends, frenemies, marriage of convenience, possessive villainous and morally gray heroes!

A date to the Gala - II

The Gala was tonight and it was going to be in two hours. She had found the perfect dress. It was a full sleeve dress for her right arm and the left was left bare. It also had a slit which gave her a good opportunity to show off her leg and not make her the same like she was conservative or simply a prude.

She nervously ran her hands slowly over the curves of the dress. She did not want to be someone that was overly dressed and someone that was underdressed which is why she went to the simple dress yet that was a gown.

Grace kept her makeup simple. It was a slight touch of foundation concealer to hide the circles and just an eyeliner.

The black High heels ded her height some justice.

She picked up her clutch and moved out of the room only to hear a whistle from her grandmother.

"Look at that," Lorelai Russo whistled, "if only you would have worn this dress to your graduation."

That hit her nerve.

The night of the graduation was something she never wanted to live again.

"Thank you," she said nevertheless, "please don't wait for me. I might be late."

Lorelai scoffed, "I am old and diabetic why do I have to wait for you? You have the key, you enter." She grumbled her breath as she moved to her room. "Have sex tonight at least."

"Nana!" Grace gasped. The language she used.

Lorelai did not comment on it, rather laughed at her as she closed the door to her room. Grace shook her head and moved downstairs. She constantly checked her appearance in the reflecting walls of the lift. Her hair was up in a bun but it was part in the middle and her bangs were slightly curled.

Grace did not want to try too much but. . . She wondered if she was looking just plain.

She twirled her body slightly while keeping her toes firm on the ground. What was she even up to the mark to be on the arm of a multi-millionaire on his way to becoming a billionaire?

"You look good in case you're wondering,"

She gasped and turned around to see Miguel Vega standing in front of her. She blinked once and her shocked and widened eyes turned back to normal. "Hi," she greeted him a bit breathlessly as she took his figure in.

She thought that Mr Vega was dressed the best on a daily basis but this was completely different. He stood straight and confident and every saying that he wore today made him stand out.

He wore black and it perfectly matched her outfit.

"Oh," she gasped and moved take an awkward step ahead as the lift doors close. She closed her face and brought it to her lips as she cringed what happened. She pressed the button to get the doors open and then stepped out as she held her hand to her.

The lift doors closed. She was embarassed.

Miguel turned her around. "You look very gorgeous." He held her hand as he took her in. "Only one more thing," he unbuttoned his suit jacket and reached over to the pocket inside.

Grace watched him pull out a velvet box that he opened in front of her. "This is missing. Would you do me the honour of wearing it?"

She looked at it. It was a diamond bracelet and she could tell that this was not cheap.

"Uh . ." She gave him a hesistant look, "mister Vega, I am sure that this is very expensive—"

"Wear it for me?" He asked again and by the status of the men and the family that he belongs to, Grace could tell that he was barely holding himself by.

She nodded but then added further instantly, "I won't be held responsible if I lose it." She told him as she pointed a finger at him.

He raised his eyebrows slightly and gave her a small nod. "Does not matter."

She raised her hand and he slid the bracelet onto her wrist. "Beautiful," he admired and she blushed.

"Come on, Gorgeous," he smiled and held his elbow out to her for taking, "I have to show my date of to people."

She giggled uncharacteristically at that. As they moved to the car outside the building, Grace could not help but think that she had never seen Miguel Vega crack jokes or flirt in front of anyone. He never did it in the presence of his brothers even and none of the women that had dated him had ever seen him flirt or compliment them more than once.

So could she take this as an invitation?
