FAMILY'S LOVE

"Master do you really think that Miss Lothana has good intentions of approaching you"? Eril asked warily.

"Whether her intensions are pure or not, time will tell. I can't make a move on her now. Her father is not one to mess with". Moyan rubbed his finger on his lips thoughtfully.

"But you are more powerful than him. Surely it can't be so exaggerated"! Eril said boastfully.

"No doubt. One just have to be careful. No matter how powerful you are, making many enemies can be a source of downfall". Moyan said again.

But more than being afraid of her father, he is more wary of Lothana who is like a fierce cat! He shivered when he remembered her devilish look.

If he is a lion, who dominates the forest, then she is the ground that can chose either to open and swallow him or to let him walk freely.

Hyden paused his action, and suddenly smiled.

"You may be in my head, but you are not me. I believe what I believe. If you are looking for a puppet then try harder"! He said with determination.

" What are you doing"?! Heaven asked in alarm. She stared warily at the broken piece in Hyden's hand.

" Oh it's nothing". He quickly threw the broken piece away.

"I accidentally knocked down the flower pot . Sorry mom". Hyden apologized with a small smile.

" Are you hurt anywhere"? Heaven held his arms and inspected him.

" It's just a little pot, you don't have to apologize or try to pick up the broken pieces". She said softly, and caressed his head lovingly.

" Mom can I talk to you"? Hyden asked carefully.

" Yes come". Heaven pulled him to a wooden swing chair.

"Why is dad always close to big sis. Although they quarrel a lot, he is more closer to her and pays less attention to me". Hyden asked thoughtfully.

"It's a truth that he is close to her. Infact very, very close to her. But that doesn't mean that he loves you less.

" You dad feels guilty towards Lothana. Because of his absence when I was pregnant with her till she became two. Although I tried to be there for her, she knew how sad I was and had no option but to learn to fend for herself.

"Unlike other children who would throw a tantrum and cry if their mom isn't there to play with them, she didn't.

Lothana had to learn to grow up. She became more matured than her age. That is why he treats her like a gem..... It's out of guilt". Heaven said seriously.

"No matter how you see it, he loves you. I love you so much. And it hurts me a big deal, to see you question that". Heaven made a sad face.

"I'm sorry mom". Hyden bowed hid head in shame. He has never heard of this before . "Why was dad not there"?

"You see there was a crazy lady that was bent on killing your dad. He had to get rid of her on other to keep us safe, so he left to deal with her". Heaven said.

"A lady".... Hyden thought to the voice in his head, but shook his head in disagreement. They can't possibly be connected.

Lothana bowed her head in contemplation. She never knew that her jolly and annoying brother felt that way.

It's all her fault for being an attention seeker.

"Dad what's the occasion"? Hyden giggled happily, seeing the table filled with his favourite foods.

"I heard someone is feeling nostalgic. Such a baby boy". Lothaire ruffled his head.

"I'm not"! Hyden pouted in dissatisfaction.

"Look son. Just like how you did to your mom, if there is anything you are not happy about, you should let us know okay"? Lothaire said seriously.

The last thing he would want is jealousy in family.

"Hey big sis. Why are you silent"? Hyden said to Lothana who haven't said a word since she came in.

"Hm. I'm fine. Just have things on my mind". Lothana said absentmindedly. She never wanted her brother to feel insecure, but she made him.

She was there. She saw him crying so helplessly. She wanted to go to him, but she finally convinced herself to leave. He wouldn't want her to see him like that. When she was sure he was alright, she went back to him.

Although she didn't know hey at first, but after listening to his conversation with her mom, she finally understood why he was crying.

After dinner, Lothana walked to the garden. Staring at the place where Hyden squared and cried, she clenched her fist. For the first time, she felt suffocated. This could only be pain.

"I'm sorry". Hyden who just walked in, apologized to Lothana.

"Why are you apologizing. Did you scatter my room again"? Lothana asked evasively.

"Don't try to change the topic. I saw you the other time". Hyden smiled sadly.

"It's my fault for getting too much attention. I had no intentions of taking all our parents attention"! Lothana bowed her head in shame.

In normal occasion parent always pay attention to the younger than the elder but hers is different.

"You had no fault in it. Although mom just explained to me, I knew before that ladies should be treated with care. At least dad taught me that. But... It's only an already dark heart that can be possessed.." Hyden said with understanding.

"What do you mean"? Lothana's eyes narrowed.

"It's nothing. I let myself be used so I'll find a solution. I'm not stupid sis". Hyden smiled happily.

"No matter what happens, you are the best thing that have ever happened to me". Lothana smiled with tears stuck in her eyes. Only her brother had the ability of bringing this emotion in her.

"I know... you don't have to tell me. Who was it who cried when I got sick for the first time"? Hyden teased.

Unlike before, Lothana didn't react.

" I love you too sis. Very much"! Hyden gently wiped the tears from Lothana's eyes.

"You're so arrogant! How could you be taller than I am"? Lothana smiles between tears.

"I have to be strong in other to treat you like a priceless jewel". Hyden pulled her into a hug.

" I think we did a good job in parenting ". Lothaire who watched secretly with Heaven, smiled proudly.

" You almost ruined it "! Heaven scolded.

" I'm sorry ". Lothaire apologized.

" As a parent, your responsibility should come before any guilt. While amending your mistake to one, you can lead the other astray".

"No doubt, no parent love their children equally. There must be one who is more loved. But you shouldn't neglect another". Heaven admonished.

" Yeah, yeah"! Lothaire said absentmindedly. His whole attention was on her lips. The subtle movement when she talks, made him feel hot.

"What are you doing"? Heaven moved back carefully.

" Relax honey. I won't bite"? Lothaire smirked and sauntered to her.

"They're at it again"! Hyden shrunk in disgust.

Lothana glanced at him, and gave him a knowing look.

"Mom! Behind you, behind you. There's a lizard"! Hyden yelled in agitation.

"Ahhhhh....."!!!

"Kill it, kill it"! Heaven jumped away, screaming in fright.

Lothaire looked at the point Heaven stood before, and became ängry. Just when he almost succeeded in eating a lovely pie!

"There is nothing there honey". He gave his naughty kids a hard glare.

Heaven stared at him dumbly, before looking at the place she stood before...

"Hyden Emile Frauncis.... You're a dead meat"!!!
