I Was Reborn and I Think I Love the Villainess

Calder Monroe Llyr Kaimana couldn't stop his hands from sweating. He wasn't even sure how he was even holding everything together. Taki Hamako woke up in the Kingdom of Mariella and to his horror in someone else's body. Worse, he heard some names that sounded way too familiar. The name of the body he was in, the body's older brother crown prince Esai Asher Blake Kaimana, Britille Freyer and Syria Trent. "It can't be! It's all the same!" He thought as he watched from the sidelines. They were the names of the last novel his company's star author wrote! Taki couldn't believe his eyes or ears but everything was the same and he couldn't let them die. "Why did her boyfriend break up with her?! Then this novel's ending wouldn't be a blood bath!" Taki now Calder cried inside his heart. "Oh no it's happening!" He cried again. The Baron Freyer is bringing up his daughter alongside Count Trent while Chancellor Graham is leading them. His brother proclaims. Calder pales, he didn't think before he acted, worse THE KING KNEW HE WAS BAD WITH WOMEN! Past or present he sucked. That's why Taki's parents arranged his marriage! Mixed Emotions

"You, you, you should eat salmon! With boiled potatoes, steamed broccoli, roasted sweet potato and kale. Or, or a nice harvest stew. With pumpkin, potatoes, carrots, beans, tomato, garlic, red onion and chunks of lamb chop. Also make sure that there is a glass of orange juice with the meal, freshly squeezed, luke warm is fine." Lady Syria ranted fiercely as her face flushed a deep red. "Well Rutley?" Calder asked as his eyes stayed glued to Lady Syria's face.

"Well what?" Rutley asked as he watched the two interact. "Can it be done?" Calder said as Lady Syria dropped her gaze to her hand. "Of course but which one do you want?" Rutley asked as he scratched the back of his head. "I'm fine with either one." Calder replied. "They both sound very appetizing." He continued causing Lady Syria's gaze to shot upwards and stare right at Calder.

"Do you mean it?" She whispered. Calder couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he broke their gazes and leaned back onto the pillows. "Of course. I don't care how long it take, I want to eat the food you suggested." Calder said with a smile on his face. Lady Syria blushed as she started to squirm in her seat. "What if I said I want to make it?" She asked. Calder was stunned. His heart started to beat loudly as he looked her over.

"You can cook?" He asked in a small voice. Lady Syria bit her bottom lip then nodded her head slowly. "That is," Calder started to say but Rutley quickly interrupted. "My Lady you can't!" Rutley shouted causing Lady Syria's face to drop. Calder felt his heart break seeing her so sad.

He then gave Rutley a side look. He made sure to show his disdain towards him then he turned to Lady Syria. "I think I can survive and hour without Syria. I really want to try her cooking." He commanded loudly. "But you might die without her. You weren't witnessing your own death! In a span of three hours you lost so much vitality! Why do you think Landis wants her here by your side?!" Rutley shouted as his hair stood on end. "Maybe next time." Lady Syria said with a small smile.

Calder shot Rutley a cold glare, hoping that Rutley would understand that he was killing him a hundred different ways inside his head. "My Lady, why not give me the recipe and detailed instructions on how it's done. Then I can in turn instruct the kitchen staff?" Rutley said in a defeated tone. Lady Syria's eyes lit up like a child's on Christmas day. "'Can I really?" Lady Syria asked in awe. "Of course but I will hold you to your word. Next time I must try something you made personally." Calder said as he gave Lady Syria a wink.

Lady Syria gulped. Her cheeks turned a beautiful rosie colour while her amber eyes sparkled with wonder and hope. Calder couldn't look a her without his heart thumping wildly against his rib cage. He averted his gaze and mumbled something about Rutley getting a pen and paper. Soon enough Rutley walked out with the recipe and left the two alone.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" Lady Syria asked suddenly. "I'm a nice person." Calder promptly replied. Lady Syria raised a single eyebrow as she looked at him. "Oh. Ya earlier. I don't trust her. I can be kind but I won't be stupid." Calder explained. "So what if I'm helping you because I have an ulterior motive? Will your kindness disappear?" Lady Syria asked.

"I already know your motive and have accepted it. There is no malice between us and you have been very honest with me." Calder said with a broad smile. "No. No, I haven't been honest with you and I won't use you either." Lady Syria mumbled as she averted her gaze.

Calder just laid in silence. He wanted to know what she was hiding but at the same time they weren't close enough for him to ask. She would definitely lie or divert the answer. "I made my choice." Calder sighed. Lady Syria opened her mouth a few times but always closed it, not able to say what she wanted too. Her eyes watered and she looked so sad. "Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?" Calder asked.

"Sorry?" Lady Syria called out as she looked at Calder pathetically. "Look I'll start, I like the color turquoise." Calder said with a small smile. "You like the colour turquoise?" Lady Syria asked doubtfully. "Well, yes. It's a beautiful colour. So calming, so clean and if you saw the sea you would see why it's so beautiful. Especially when it sparkles under the sunlight." Calder replied.

"I have never seen the sea..." Lady Syria whispered. "Then we should take a trip, cough, I mean I should talk to my brother and have a whole trip planned out. We can make it a three day, two night stay. Pack some food and have a picnic on the sandy shores. Go swimming, sun bath, build sand castles and just have fun." Calder ranted happily. "Why would you do that?" Lady Syria asked.

"I said I was going to help you and this is the best way to do that. If I learn everything I can about you and create opportunities for my brother (me, let's not lie it's for me). Then your chances for him to fall in love with you goes up.... Especially if it's something that can help you smile naturally." Calder said as his ears started to turn red. He quickly averted his gaze, completely missing the smile that spread across Lady Syria's face as a touch of soft pink kissed the top of her cheeks.

"I like to cook but I don't know how to bake." Lady Syria said awkwardly but the smile didn't disappear from her face. "How come? Is coking and baking not essentially the same thing?" Calder asked as he kept his eyes away from Lady Syria. "No. Not at all." Lady Syria answered with a small giggle. Calder could feel his whole body turn hot and shifted his body to his right side.

"Are you alright? Doesn't moving away from me while holding my hand make things uncomfortable?" Lady Syria asked as she looked at Calder's back. They were still holding hands. Lady Syria had her doubts but she let him have his way while Calder hid his face. Lady Syria's laugh and smile were too dangerous and his lower member was already standing at full force.
