Chapter 8

[A/N: I am writing this just for fun so just read it to pass time.I will be positing I chapter a week]

Thor POV

Well, I saw Ragnar tying up one of the soldiers he caught as I came next to him asked "You are going to use him to get to the nearby town right."Ragnar looked at me and smiled and replied "You know me better than my own brother."I smiled and shook my head at that we soon made our way to the village.

Soon the village was in our sights as I heard Rollo who was excited questioned "So we attack straight away."Ragnar who looked as he was in deep thought replied "No, We attack tomorrow."

Rollo was confused as he asked "Why wait? It is a large town we only have few men"Rollo who went to Ragnar said," Then surprise is our biggest advantage."Rollo questioned again only for Ragnar to blow him off.

I smirked and said, "I must say it is a smart plan."Hearing this Lagertha was confused as I explained "He plans to attack when all the people including the soldiers go to pray to their god and weapons anr forbidden as they are always kept outside the church since it is a place of worship."

Lagertha now understood why he wanted to attack tomorrow Ragnnar who heard me turned to me and jokingly said "You really do understand me better are you sure you are not my long-lost brother."I shook my head and replied, "Whatever you say, Ragnar."

Everyone soon went to rest there wasn't much to do so everyone other to wait for tomorrow.I was with Val, Sig, as Lagertha questioned curiously"So, is it true about Ragnar's family descending from Odin."Val shook her head and replied, "No he is not, and actually we have not been in contact with Midgardians for a while, but during our absence, some seidr's have been using our names and parading around as us for example there is the gotaland princess she is said to be the daughter of me and Sig which she is not but the thing is she not have Sig's sword Gram."I knew both still hated the Aslaug also, I wanted to find if there are dragons or other Norse monsters really here in this world.

I mentally thought, "If Aslaug is the so-called daughter of Sigurd, she must have a sword which is called Gram even if it is not powerful as Sig's also, I do not understand how is she not captured to find the whereabouts of the Sword since I doubt Vikings will just leave the sword famed for killing Fafnir alone."Val explained about

Lagertha was angered at the fact some people parading around as gods so let's just say Lagertha hated the Seidr's.

But one thing was sure things will get interesting soon.

The next day we reached the town the was surrounded by a wall made of wood but the funny thing was everyone was throwing ropes and trying hard to climb the wall as I looked at bored Sig and asked"Do you want to just jump above it."Sig grinned hearing that as all of Ragnar's Warband was focused on climbing I collected my Warband and went a few feet away from them Sig and I both jumped over the wall.

As I went open the front door for the rest as opened I saw Lagertha look at me with a stunned look it was still hard for her to believing that she is walking, talking, and was friends with the very gods she prayed to, and added to that Thor the god of thunder was interested in her.

Val elbowed Lagertha in ribs to make her come out of her stunned state as Val whispered "Just make yourself ready since you are going to see more stuff like this."Lagertha who heard this sighed and replied, "I guess this will be normal stuff from now on then."

Ragnar along with others got past the was only to see us waiting as Ragnar who was obviously confused asked: "How did you get past the wall."

I replied with a straight face "Through the front door it was open."Hearing this Ragnar looked at me like deer caught in headlights as he soon shook his head as walked towards the Church with the rest of us.

As I noticed Lagertha ans Val going of on there own with Knut following her as I turned to Erik and said "Erik can I ask a favour from you."Erik nodded as I continued "Can you go with Lagertha and Val I know both of them can take care of themselves but I don't trust Knut."

Erik who understood what I was saying went after both of them I thought "I needed someone from my warband as a witness to what Knut did before either Lagertha or I kill him.

Ragnar who saw the weapons left outside the church looked at me and smirked "These people have left themselves wide open for attackers."I could only nod and reply "True."

The moment we barged in there was absolute silence as most were scarred seeing us with weapons somewhere foolish to try and attack which only led to them killed the priest tried to control the situation as he asked "In the name of god,who are you?why have you come here this is a place of god."

Ragnar told the priest if they do not resist we will not hurt them as I turned and left to find Largetha and Val.

3rd POV

Lagertha was with Val looking around to find more loot as we both decided to split to cover more ground as Lagertha was passing by she heard someones scream and sobbing she followed the sound only to find Knut trying to rape a saxon woman.I shouted in rage "Knut let her go."

Knut with contempt replied "What do you care for this Saxon, you bitch." and Knut tried pushed Lagertha onto a wall and tried to rape her but only for her bash Knut in the face with her shield which left knut stunned giving her enough time to use her sword and she slashed Knut's hand off knut let loud cry while grabbing it.

Lagertah was not done yet as she plunged the sword right threw Knuts shoulder and she was about to kill Knut but Erik who saw all this happening quickly yelled "Stop Lagertha don't kill him not yet we will let Ragnar and Thor determine his fate."Lagertha was frustrated that she could not kill the bastard nodded as Erik dragged a very injured Knut with him to find the others.
