Third day.

The trio was back on the hunt.

They came across a herd of rhinos. They quickly sprang into action.

Before they could complete the hunt. A group of disciples came, and their target was Grim's team instead of the beasts.

Soon, a violent battle ensued. But, Grim and his team were able to overpower the group since the strongest amongst them was only in the mid-evolution realm.

By the time battle ended with the other group, the remaining beasts had already fled.

So, they took the points from the group as compensation.

The trio was able to earn 540 points from the beasts and 500 points from the group.

While Grim had made a personal benefit of 36,000 Evo.

Gu Lan couldn't help but comment.

"It's only the third day of the competition. But, the thieves have started appearing."

They decided to be extra cautious in future hunts.

Fourth day.

The effects of the previous day were becoming more apparent on the fourth day.

The team had come across more thieves than the beasts.

They earned three times more than the previous day. But, the danger had also gone up a few notches.

They could deal with the disciples of the mid-evolution realm. However, the same couldn't be said about the peak-evolution realm.

Their hypothetical scenario had turned into reality.

The trio was unlucky enough to come across Tang Ling and her team.

The team had bumped into her team when they were chasing a beast.

Both parties were dazed for a moment. But, Tang Ling broke the stalemate by initiating first.

She launched an attack on the trio.

The sudden attack took the trio by surprise.

Grim disappeared from the location and appeared somewhere else. But, his brother and sister were not so fast. They were encased in a block of ice.

"Hoh! You managed to dodge it."

Tang Ling was a bit surprised.

Grim disappeared again and made his way toward his brother and sister.

He was about to reach them. But, an icicle made its way toward him at that exact moment.

So, he had no choice but to retreat.

"Did you think, I would let them go so easily?"

Tang Ling smirked.

She launched a skill at the ground. Soon, the entire ground froze within 500 meters.

"Since speed is your forte. Try running now."

She was taunting him.

He launched the attack toward the ground in hopes of melting the ice. But, the ice was too thick.

Grim strengthened himself 50x and smashed the ground.

The impact caved the ground within 50 meters and broke the ice into smaller bits.

He wanted to make a path toward her. But, she attacked him with icicles again before he could proceed forward.

"I can only use arranged attacks against her."

"Storm"

Grim launched lightning bolts toward her. But, she defended against it with ice walls.

Then, he tried 'water blade'. But, the result was the same.

"Should I purchase abilities right now?"

He was contemplating on whether to buy ability or not. But, he gave up. Fearing it might expose him.

"Give me half of your points, and I'll let them go."

Suddenly, Tang Ling made an offer.

"Brother Grim, don't listen to her. Run away."

Gu Lan and Ren Dan started shouting after hearing the offer.

"Aww. How sweet. It would be a shame if they get eliminated here, wouldn't it?"

Tang Ling took placed an icicle in the neck of Gu Lan.

"Wait. I'll give you the points."

Grim agreed and handed her 4000 points.

Tang Ling freed Gu Lan and Ren Dan and left.

"That bitch."

Gu Lan cursed her.

Ren Dan commented.

"You should have run away."

Lu Gan also nodded in support.

Grim interjected them. "How would I face the master if I did that?"

"Also, I only gave her 4000 points. We still have 7160 points left, and we can always earn more points."

Gu Lan and Ren Dan were happy with Grim's response.
