Sevadiamante

The crowd went wild as the floor on the stage created a hole just right at the center and a glass box slowly appeared from it.

"The Sevadiamante! This is originally owned by Don Philippe Sevastian's late wife." Emma continued as she gazed on our table and smiled widely at Don Philippe and everyone followed her gaze.

The old man smiled and waved at everyone. "It's chain is a 5 carat white diamond and the pendant is a rare blue diamond. It is rare because you can only find this type of diamond in three areas of the world and that was a long time ago." Emma continued.

"You can not find it as of today, as this piece right here is the only thing that's left." Said the host.

The spotlight focused into the box, which made the necklace shine even more brighter as the light reflected into the diamonds.

Emma spoke again, "And there's more... Sevadiamante has a unique style and design in its blue diamond pendant...it has the piece of Cleopatra's Heart right at the center of it."

The guests murmured and whispered into each other. Some of them had no idea what Cleopatra's heart was and some smiled excitedly, especially those men in their broad shoulders. Clearly they are after that necklace too.

"For those who didn't know, Cleopatra's Heart is a piece of treasure that was found 50 years ago. It was broken into five tiny pieces and was passed on to different family generations… Mafia members are after this thing, too." The guy host explained which made everyone jump from their seat, awed after hearing it.

"Are you guys ready to bid!?" Emma asked everyone in the ballroom. "The first bidding price of this piece is… one hundred thousand dollars."

Lorenzo quickly raises his hand with a number, which is 10.

"Alright! Who wants to go for 110,000 dollars?"

A thick man wearing white suit and a black and white mask raised his number.

A pale woman in a black dress also raises her number to bid for her price.

"150,000 Dollars." Lorenzo said firmly, eager to win the bidding. Everyone just wowed in amazement.

The price went higher and higher, maybe because most of the guests here were businessmen, wealthy people and Mafia members.

I'm sure as hell those competing with Lorenzo's bid amount were also Mafia members and are eager to get that necklace.

Meanwhile, as the increment became twice as high, a man in a black suit could be seen walking towards our direction.

I could see the gun slide on his holster belt. He is wearing a half face cut mask which is uniform with the guards from the outside of this house.

He must be one of Don Philippe's bodyguards. He seemed to look scary serious as he slowly arrived in our direction.

He then whispered something to Don Philippe's ears which made the old man stand hurriedly, his seat was pushed backwards.

It created violent sounds that made the guests near us glance at our table horrified and confused, specifically at him.

My heart suddenly skipped, as I thought of the possible reason as to what his guard whispered. Don Philippe's face darkened, eyes were completely in rage and his breathing became uneven.

I could barely hear the background music, the emcee's announcement and the crowd's whistling and applause. All I could hear at this moment was my nervously beating heart… as I thought of Scott.

"What's going on, Don Philippe?" I finally had the courage to ask.

"Nothing, honey. Please excuse me for a moment. I have an important matter to attend to." He said sternly. And then walk quickly out of my sight.

I couldn't focus on the bidding thinking that Scott is in trouble...I tend to keep moving in my seat as the clock is ticking.

I touch my earpiece to turn it on before I speak, "Scott...are you there?"

When I didn't hear any response from him, I started to get uneasy. My eyes went to Lorenzo's direction as I wanted to ask him what I should do but all I could see was Lorenzo's stressed out face...

Because he's got close competition with the man wearing white suit, the price has increased to one billion dollars.

I soon grew weary of waiting for Scott to respond or atleast give his command. So I decided to follow where Don Philippe is headed.

He was walking as fast as he could even if he needed his cane for his support...and his bodyguards were at his back and some were ahead of him.

I followed them silently behind, then I concluded where they were heading… to his room. It was located at the last level of his mansion.

There are restrictions when you enter into the hallway going to his room as the guards blocked me.

"You are not allowed here, miss." The bald black guy said firmly, his expression remained calm and horrific… but I am not affected by it at all.

I took a step forward and I intentionally tripped over them. I clung onto one of their shoulders to keep my balance and they gladly caught me before I would fall to the ground.

"Oops! I'm sorry, hehe." I fuddled innocently. "I was just looking for the comfort room. Is it here?" I added as I titled my head and looked ahead. My voice was groggy as I whimpered trying to escape from the black guy's grip.

"The comfort room is located on the 3rd floor." The other guy said firmly, his voice was too masculine… not just his voice though, even his body, it was all thickly muscled, it is as if you will be crushed once he pins you down.

Just when they're about to drag me out of the hallway, a loud shattering sound escaped from across the room that seemed to be the room of Don Philippe.

The two men that were blocking me and a few more men hurriedly ran towards that same direction and didn't take a second look at me.

Which I took as an advantage and silently ran over that room, too. Thankfully, I was quick and was able to make it when the door were about to close and sneak inside until I was able to step inside Don Philippe's safe locker and hide behind the luxurious urn just by the door..

There I saw a man kneeling, hands being pinned behind. The man has these familiar features except for his dark mustache and thick lashes.

He was facing my direction while Don Philippe and his men were in the opposite direction. Me facing their backs.

I stared into him intently, his jaw is the same as Scott and his eyes...those same eyes that are dark and empty. He is wearing the same clothes the waiter wore at the party.

He doesn't seem to feel any danger as he arrogantly smirks into the old man.

His build is so familiar to me that even with eyes closed I would definitely recognize it. It was his mustache that was so thick that I almost didn't recognize who he was.

"Scott…" I uttered softly, almost a whisper as my heart beat became uneven again, worries ran all over my system. I wanted to help him and kick those bastards.

On the other hand, Scott lifted his head and narrowed his eyes around until he spotted my direction.

His eyes popped out as soon as he noticed my presence behind the urn. His once scoffing and arrogant expression became tense and pale.

I noticed a sudden movement of his eyes as he signaled the door. As if he wanted me to leave and do nothing.

"I see you are scared now...Who ordered you to do this!?" Don Philippe roared, thinking that Scott's change of expression was because of him. Clearly, he still hasn't no idea who's the man kneeling before him.

I glared at Scott who was looking directly into my eyes, with a pleading look. "No!" I mouthed. I'm too stubborn for that. Then I jumped silently to the next urn and hid.

Now, I have the clear view to Don Philippe's lock safe room and was open mouthedly amazed by it.

The area was dimmed, but with few droplets of light spotting every item inside the glass box which made the items inside glimmer.

There I saw antique vases, different urns, antique flute, different kinds of jewelry slid inside each glass box, a gold gun and a dagger that looks a thousand years old.

But what caught my eyes was the pile of gold bars situated on the deepest corner of the room. It was shining and shimmering which made the area near it look fantastically golden.

On the center of that pile of gold bars, there's also a mini gold box piled to it together that has a beautiful engraving design, a different letter design.

It does look like it was stock there purposely.

Unknowingly, as I examine the box that was stock on the pile of gold...My stupid ass stumble into something which made a loud noise and definitely caught the attention of everyone in the room.

"Hey!" The bald guy that blocked me from awhile ago shouted as he walked like a sumo wrestler towards my direction... grunting in displeasure.

Don't forget to Vote, it'll motivate me! :)
