A tech savvy transmigrated into To Love-Ru and assimilated his soul into Yuuki Rito, turning into a whole new person. "What the heck is that?!" "Oh, this is my Alien-buster armour, I wasn't completely satisfied with it but I guess it will do." "It almost killed me and it's not enough for you?!" "And that's the flaw, I don't want any uncertainty in my weaponry. Alright enough fooling around, let's start our second round." "This bastard is using me for his research!"
"Tsk, that was an utter failure," Rito muttered, recalling his past life. He was a tech-savvy individual who loved tinkering with machinery. Unfortunately, one of his experiments went awry, resulting in an explosion that killed him. He wasn't entirely surprised by his death, as he had anticipated such a possibility.
What he hadn't expected was that his soul would assimilate with a living person in a parallel world. Moreover, this world bore striking resemblance to an old anime he used to watch. He couldn't remember much about it, only the first few episodes and some smaller details. Strangely enough, it seemed he had become the protagonist from "To Love-Ru."
Thanks to a seamless assimilation process, Rito could recall everything 'Yuuki Rito' had experienced in his life, including his own past life.
"This is... the school's infirmary," he mumbled after surveying his surroundings. Before he could leave the bed, a beautiful, short-haired brown doctor stepped in.
"Good, you're awake. You should go to your class now, or you might miss another lesson. Unless..." Her voice trailed off, and a sly smile appeared on her face. "You wanted to do something naughty with me? Fufufu."
Before he could respond, she walked away, leaving him speechless yet strangely aroused by her charming personality. He couldn't help it; she looked around the same age as he was in his past life.
'Mikado-sensei, huh? I'll remember that,' he thought as he bid farewell to her and exited the infirmary. Apparently, he had been knocked unconscious when he slipped on the staircase. According to her, a kind student had carried him there. Her expression suggested it wasn't a boy.
'Before that, I was going to confess to my first love, huh? But this guy is too damn shy,' Rito thought, shaking his head. Sure, he could help fulfill the kid's wish, but this was no longer just 'his life.' They were one now, sharing the same feelings toward their crushes and a similar passion for tinkering with machines.
The 'Rito Yuuki' now had more self-confidence than the previous one. This also meant he was a whole new person with two individuals' memories. Just like in his past life, he cared less about love when he could spend more time building tech in his garage. However, he couldn't ignore his feelings either, especially given how pure they were.
"How troublesome," he muttered. Rito couldn't shake the feelings away even if he tried. Every time his eyes landed on the short black-haired girl, his breathing grew heavy, and a blush crept onto his cheeks.
...
Yuuki Household
"Hahahaha! What did I tell you? This is inevitable!"
"Shut it! It's not like you even have a girlfriend to begin with."
"Damn, man, really? Hitting me where it hurts the most?"
"I should be saying that. Good grief."
After school, Rito went straight home to gather his thoughts. The longer he lingered in the same class as hers, the harder it became for him to think clearly. Unfortunately, the first thing that greeted him after he entered his bedroom was a phone call from his close friend, Saruyama.
After some small talk, he hung up the phone and walked down the stairs toward the bathroom. As he passed the living room, he paused and glanced inside, seeing his younger sister sitting on the couch watching TV. Hearing his footsteps, Mikan turned her head and pulled the ice cream out of her mouth.
"Mom and Dad called a while ago, saying they will be home late today."
"Okay, I'll take a shower first," Rito replied with a shrug. After undressing and placing his dirty clothes in the bucket near the washing machine, he lay down in the bathtub, submerging himself up to his chest in warm water. He couldn't help but let out a satisfied sigh.
"This hits the spot," he muttered contentedly. But his happiness was cut short when a spark appeared in front of him. His eyes widened as he immediately recalled a scene from the anime that also took place in the bathroom. He had momentarily forgotten about it due to the whole crush situation occupying his mind throughout the day.
'Here comes another troublemaker,' he thought as a wisp of smoke covered his vision. When he waved it away, a beautiful pink-haired girl in her birthday suit materialized in front of his eyes. It was like a dream come true—at least, that's what Saruyama would think. But he couldn't deny feeling the same as his eyes gravitated towards her assets.
"Ah~ escape successfully!" The mysterious girl said with a wide smile, seemingly unbothered by her nakedness in front of him. However, he knew why she appeared like this, but he wasn't planning to tell her just yet since they were strangers. He had a better question to ask her in this strange circumstance.
"Who are you?"
"Hmm? I'm Lala! Lala Satalin Deviluke, and I came from a distant galaxy!"
"...You're an alien?" Despite already knowing, he asked with feigned hesitation. Unlike the previous him, who would have lost consciousness upon seeing a naked girl, the current him had seen more and wanted to get to know her better.
It had been a few hours since he came to this world, yet nothing unique had happened to him. He didn't suddenly gain superhuman strength, nor did a strange system speak inside his mind. At this point, he concluded that he wasn't given any 'cheat' to navigate his way to the top like in the cliche novels he read.
But what kind of world is "To Love-Ru"? It might look ordinary at first glance, but there's a troublemaker who attracts trouble like a magnet, and she's right in front of him. If anything about her could be reliable, it was her alien tech. As a tech-savvy person, he had many ideas in his head.
"That's right! See this tail over here?" After saying that, she proudly showed her trademark tail as it wiggled in front of him. He felt the urge to touch it but remembered it was one of her weaknesses. Now was not the time for that.
"Huh, that does look very real to me. Then, can I ask you something? But not here. How about we discuss it in my room?" After saying that, he stood up without a hint of embarrassment while Lala, lost to her curiosity, glanced at his member with a curious look.
Though he may not look like it, he was actually very embarrassed, unlike the strange alien girl. He was just good at hiding it. He judged from her facial expression that she was genuinely curious, indicating she had zero knowledge about this.
'Well, it's not surprising,' he thought, recalling the first few episodes of the anime. 'At least I avoided that scenario,' Rito cautiously walked on the wet floor, but a hand grabbed his shoulder from behind. Before he could react, he felt an unstoppable gravitational force pulling him backward, followed by Lala's scream.
"Kyah!"
'It seems this was inevitable,' he thought, feeling something squishy in his palm. To make matters worse, her eyes widened when her lips were sealed with his. Although he thought he could avoid those 'lucky pervert' situations like in the anime by being mindful, it appeared he had underestimated it.
...
Yuuki Rito's Bedroom
Rito quickly changed his clothes in a few minutes while a shy pink-haired girl sat on his bed, wrapped only in a towel. The walk to his room had been insanely awkward. He had apologized to her immediately, but she kept avoiding his eyes. However, she did follow him upstairs, which was a relief. It was also worth mentioning that his younger sister was nowhere to be seen, likely out buying groceries.
"Here, why don't you temporarily change into this?" he said, handing her a long white-sleeved shirt and jogger pants. Those were the only old clothes he could find in his wardrobe that would fit her. She took the clothes without saying anything, which he took as her way of accepting without showing gratitude. He simply shrugged and turned around to give her some privacy.
He initially wanted to wait outside his room, but he remembered what happened in the first episode. If she wanted to escape from her pursuers successfully, he could lead her away, knowing every corner of the neighborhood like the back of his hand. His unexpected familiarity was proving useful in the most random ways, as expected of a protagonist.
"Lala-samaaaaaa!"
Suddenly, a strange voice came from outside the open window. Then, a peculiar-looking doll flew into his room, charging straight into Lala's ample bosom. He showed no reaction as if he had expected it. In fact, he had only been stalling for time until her creation arrived.
"Who is this dull-looking human, Lala-sama?" the doll asked, pointing at him. The corner of his lips twitched. 'Wow, what a rude little thing,' he thought with a restrained smile. Lala chuckled at Peke's words, unaware of the strange glint in Rito's eyes.
"Ah right, I haven't learned your name yet!" she suddenly exclaimed. He sighed before introducing himself.
"I'm Yuuki Rito. You can call me Rito."
"I see, Rito... Alright, Peke, I'll leave it to you!" Lala said before standing up, causing her towel to fall to the floor. Once again, it was evident she didn't care about being naked around him. He initially thought she lacked a sense of embarrassment, but he realized she likely had no knowledge of this topic. In other words, she was naive.
"Understood!"
After Peke's response, it suddenly shone so brightly that Rito had to cover his eyes. When his vision returned to normal, he saw Lala in a strange bodysuit-like getup, resembling a character from a magical girl show, complete with a hat featuring two bat-like wings.
'What a magical-girl-like transformation,' Rito thought to himself, slightly amazed by her innovative creation. If she could create something like Peke, surely more advanced tech wasn't out of her reach. His mind buzzed with ideas.
"So, how did you suddenly appear in my bathroom earlier?" he asked.
"With this!" Lala proudly showed the bracelet around her wrist. She explained that it couldn't be used repeatedly and required time to recharge. Furthermore, the transport location was completely random, which is how she ended up in his bathroom. As for why she appeared naked, it was because the bracelet could only bring one person, and for some reason, Peke was counted as a person.
"Interesting. So, this little thing can change into any clothing you want?" Rito asked, pointing at Peke.
"Don't call me a little thing, you virgin!" Peke retorted.
"Wow, you installed it with the ability to retort as well? Intriguing," Rito said, looking impressed rather than offended.
"Uhh, y-yeah, let's go with that!" Lala stammered, her face suggesting otherwise. Fortunately, Rito wasn't paying attention to her expression; he was too busy inspecting Peke with a serious look.
"Are you being pursued?" he asked.
"...Yes, well you see—"
"Before that, do you have any tool that can disguise you as someone else? Or can this thing be disguised as you?"
"Grrr! I told you, I'm not a 'thing,' I'm Peke! Lala-sama's proudest creation!"
"No, Peke cannot do that. I created it so I wouldn't have to change clothes every time! But yes, I think I do have something like that around here. Let's see..."
Suddenly, Lala pulled out a box from her pocket and dived inside it. She occasionally tossed tools into the room, one of which rolled to Rito's feet. He picked it up and swung it like a bat, noticing its baseball-like appearance.
Unbeknownst to him, his casual swing caused a huge mess in the room as a strong wind appeared, ravaging everything inside. Lala almost flew out of the window, clinging tightly to her box. Rito stood frozen, dumbfounded.
"..."
"Ah, that's PowerPower Bat-Kun! It's just a useless bat with overwhelming power! I made it because I learned about baseball from my mom, but she wouldn't let me use it during a picnic."
"...I'm not gonna comment on that. Anyway, ignore my last question and tell me why you're being pursued."
Rito tightened his grip on the bat, a strange smile forming on his face. Although he didn't know much about fighting, if he had this bat with him, maybe he had a chance.
"Okay! Well, you see..."
"Umm, Lala-sama, he seems to be taking the bat as his..." Peke voiced its thoughts, but the two ignored it.
Several minutes later.
"So, you were bored and decided to run away from home without telling your parents, not even leaving any notice behind? Just up and vanished like magic?"
Rito muttered, his voice sounding monotone. Lala nervously stared at his face; for some unknown reason, he seemed disappointed in her. She quickly thought of a justified reason and said,
"Yeah! If Daddy found out, I knew he wouldn't let me leave, so I had no choice! He was going to marry me off to some ugly aliens!"
"But still... couldn't you somehow warn your mother or something? You're at least close with her, right?"
"Ah, I forgot."
"You..."
