I am a Pioneer

A quick note from the Author:

Hey everyone!

Before I start I just want to say that this is my first attempt at writing a novel, so I apologise in advance if it isn't any good. I am happy to take on any comments and suggestions to improve it. I have written some basic stories before, but this is my first time writing in this genre. So please enjoy and wish me luck on this journey!

Side note: I will be using some real names for things like agencies, and some Kpop artists and groups, but there will be a fair few made-up names as I am not the most knowledgeable about this stuff. I will try my best to be accurate and do some research, but this is a fictional story after all. The story will also be a mix of third and first-person, just to let you know so you don't get too confused. I will also be pushing forward the debut of some groups and releases of some songs. This is mainly to help make the plot more interesting, and to keep from having too many plot holes.

April 12th 1998:

A couple is together in a hospital room in Naples, a beautiful woman is on the bed crying out in pain as she deals with the birth of a child. The man sat next to her, holding her hand encouraging her.

"Push!" "You can do it, Sweetie!"

"Porca puttana!" "I'm trying!"

"AAAAHHHHHHHHH"

*Baby crying noises*

"Congratulations, It's a boy" the nurse states happily as she wraps the newborn in a towel after weighing it, and hands it over to the woman who tenderly takes hold of the child and snuggles with it, smiling giddily. Both the man and the woman are Crying in joy.

The woman, a great beauty with long flowing golden blonde hair damp with sweat. Her mesmerising sapphire blue eyes were blurry with tears that had just been falling. She held the child close and whispered to him. "Lorenzo my baby... Welcome to the world." The man sitting next to her leans over and kisses her on the forehead. "Well done my love" he states as he looks at the little boy. The man was also quite handsome. With Deep black hair, and hazel eyes tinged with red.

Both were famous Ex-artists. Sofia Marie Affinito is a famous Italian Actress and singer, well-known as one of the most beautiful and talented in the industry, and the man, her husband Chu Hyuk, an Ex-Idol and currently a music producer at Bosconi records. He used to be a member of the famous Idol boyband; TELSTAR, but following their disbandment, he became a music producer where he met his wife at an award show. They instantly hit it off, and he ended up moving to Italy to follow her. He joined Busconi, and eventually married her. Now they were finally starting their family, after 6 years of marriage.

8 Years later:

A young boy is running around in the backyard of a massive villa that looks over the coast of Naples. The boy, who is considered the epitome of cute by many who see him, is quite tall for his age (130cm), but the strangest thing about him is his hair and eyes. His hair was snow-white, which is strange considering the colour of his parent's hair, and his eyes, a crystal-like violet colour, which is far from the blue and hazel colours of his parents. However, even after many tests from doctors and scientists, it was confirmed that he was actually their child, and the hair and eyes were just genetic mutations. Still, it was something people don't often see.

The kid is a Korean-Italian, making his facial feature quite prominent. A Warm Ivory skin tone, narrow eyes, a small mouth with full lips, marked eyebrows, double eyelids, small, slim nose with a well-sculpted jawline all on a smaller face. He was a nice mix of Italian and Korean features that made him seem both handsome and cute. He would surely grow up into a fine looking young boy.

"Lorenzo, time for study!"

"Coming mother!"

Lorenzo stops and rushes inside to his mother. It was time for the extra study he did on Sunday, aside from school. For an 8-year-old child, he was very busy. He would wake up at 6 am, have breakfast and do Yoga for 1hr with his mother. He then would have a shower, then would complete a review of his studies the day before. He went to school from 9 am until 3 pm, he would then be taken home where he had 1hr of fitness training with his dad in their private gym, then 3 hrs of music practice with his mother and father who would teach him vocal techniques, instruments as well as music production and writing. He would then stop for dinner for 1 hr and a rest, then would do 2 hrs of language study which included English, Korean, Italian, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Spanish. (Not all at once of course) Then he would go to bed and prepare for the next day. This was the schedule of his week. The weekends were made up of Dance practice for 5 hours at a studio on both Saturday and Sunday, where he learnt Bellet, Hip-Hop and other various forms of dance, 2hours each day of martial arts, and Homework from the rest of the week. He would then get a period of rest or time for other activities he wanted to do. Lorenzo found it hard, but he also loved it. For as long as he could remember, he had loved music and wanted to perform and write music for people to enjoy. As soon as he had expressed that to his parents they had supported him. Organising this tight schedule for him, which he had been attending for the last 3 years. His grades at school were the best anyone could possibly get, and his grades at home, although harsh, were from his parents who were ex-professionals. Meanwhile, He was considered a prodigy by his dance instructors.

Lorenzo sat down at the dinner table waiting for his mother to walk over with the materials.

4 years later, Busconi Records Rome:

Lorenzo had just entered the recording studio getting ready to record a song. He was excited as this was a secret gift he was going to give to his parents for their wedding anniversary in 2 weeks time. Uncle Darius, a producer who was his father's friend and work colleague was helping him in the booth to record it secretly. He had used the excuse of wanting to talk to uncle Darius about some things to do with music production and Darius had 'offered' to show him the process, to which his parents had excitedly agreed and they dropped him off at Busconi at 9 am that morning while they went off on a date around the city.

He and Uncle Darius had spoken about the song and had worked on the Backing track for 5 hours already, and they were finally ready to record his vocals. But just as he had entered the booth to start recording, an assistant broke through the door and hurried over to Uncle Darius. She had a worried look on her face, as she spoke to Uncle Darius whose face went from a calm expression to one of shock and terror. Lorenzo who couldn't hear through the soundproofing was getting curious about what they were talking about. Soon the assistant left and Uncle Darius just sat there, staring into the distance with a pained expression on his face. Tears were beginning to form at the edges of his eyes. Lorenzo realised something was up and so exited the booth to confront him.

"Hey, Uncle Darius what's wrong?"

Darius looks down at him tears in his eyes "Sport, your parents are in hospital, and not in a good condition"

Time seemed to stop in front of Lorenzo as he took the information in. Tears welled up in his eyes and he fell to his knees. "What happened? Will they be ok? Will I be fine? these were the questions running through his head at this moment.
