'Eyes on the ball Rika... we cannot afford to be taking today off for no reason at all... especially with those kids across the road that could hold all the answers to my questions...'

Rika prepared herself mentally and physically as she was mere minutes away from exiting the building, she had been staying in for almost a week now, she had been keeping tabs on the students living across the road from her, which meant she had to be nearby for ninety percent of the time, save for a few times where Rika ran out of supplies and had to run into the heart of the city on her own.

Rika was capable enough to look after herself in the newly formed world she was currently living in at the moment, it didn't stop her from thinking about the idea of creating allies though, it would be a benefit to her and the other's greatly.

Rika's mind did cross over the thought of having the students from Fujimi high school as her allies for now, she knew how hard it must have been to get by and she knew how much more of a chance they could stand with more numbers against the endless hordes of zombies.

'What is useful... what do I need to deal with these irritating enemies that will indeed cause me problems in the next few days...'

Rika placed the palm of her left hand on her chin as she thought to herself as she looked at the stuff around the spacious room, the tanned woman couldn't make her mind up with what to take with her. To Rika, there was several items she considered taking for her own benefit, like her sniper rifle for example.

The Barrett M82A1, a weapon RIka was well known to using whilst she was in the military, reason being that Rika's aiming whilst she spent her days in the military, was one of the best within her camp. What made it better for Rika was the Barrett being 'Recoil Operated', she was used to dealing with weapons of that calibre.

'The Barret M82A1... A weapon standardized by the military huh...me and this baby have a lot of memories together... Hmmm, I'll take it! I need to stick to my strengths, sniping from a far maybe could be something I need to do.'

Earlier, Rika had moved her sniper from the boarded-up window as she placed multiple items on her bed, in preparation to now, where she had to decide what to take. Currently, Rika lurked over the bed as she had placed multiple weapons and different day to day items she needed, such as the various amounts of clothing placed into a neat pile.

Next to the bed, was a duffle bag with enough space to fit a big amount of stuff within it, Rika was well aware that she had to choose her items carefully as she could end up regretting it in no time. It still did not stop Rika from thinking about bringing the 'lesser' items she had within the room, such as, the bed sheets she had gotten so used to, the many books she had scattered across the room as she spent her free time reading and etc.

'I can always come back for these items if I have to... I cannot believe I am about to think about this but everything in here is all I need for a home... if only it was this simple to stay here and survive for the rest of time.'

Rika let out a sigh of frustration as she let herself go on auto pilot as she grabbed random things to place within the bag, firstly, Rika grabbed the various different clothing's, such as, T-shirts, Trousers, Jackets, bullet proof vest and undergarments.

Of course, instead of making a mess, Rika made sure to carefully fold the clothes up and keep them in a neat pile beforehand, Rika was well aware of maximising the amount of space she could use within the duffle bag.

After carefully placing her clothing within the bag, Rika noticed a thin metal tube next to her as it lay perfectly in her view, the colour of the metal tube was a carbon black. It stood out to Rika as her bed sheets were white with a carbon black metal tube on it.

'I forgot I had this silencer... It must of fell out when I opened that drawer of the stuff, I put away a few days ago... could have been useful on those runs for supplies I went on...'

Rika wanted to roll her eyes at the thought, Rika knew it would have stopped the oncoming waves of zombies she faced days prior during a supply raid, instead of thinking on it too much, Rika shook her head and grabbed the silencer. Placing it in one of the small pockets on the side of the duffle bag. Just in case Rika needed the silencer to deal with any oncoming enemies or zombies.

Rika was the type to always think ahead of a scenario.

Looking back on to her bed, Rika had a limited use of space where she could fit next few bits of supplies, Rika made a note as she began to look at her various different clips of ammo, for her various different weapons she had brought to her hideout.

'Nine-millimetre rounds, otherwise known as 9x19mm parabellum, a firearm cartridge for the pistol I used to use back in the military... good thing I brought the pistol when I didn't think I need it in the grand scheme of things... alongside the silencer... this baby is going to cause some serious fire damage!'

Rika smiled mischievously as she imagined she could get around much better with the items she had on her, Rika pulled the zipper of her jumpsuit and reached into her denim light blue shorts for her 9mm pistol. Pulling it out, Rika could feel the hard handgrip that she had gotten so used to holding by now, flaunting the pistol, she spun it around her fingers before placing it next to her bed for her escape.

Instead, Rika turned her attention to the chair behind her, on that said chair, was the items of clothing she planned to wear during her escape which she was going to embark on very soon, for now, the purple haired woman had smaller matters to tend to.

Without wanting to wait any longer, Rika walked over towards the chair and shifted her shoulders out of her jumpsuit that she wore, causing her arms to slip out and the torso area of the jumpsuit began to slip off, showing her lacey bra that hid the soft mounds that Rika put on display.

'Hmmm I'm so sweaty! I really need to take a shower soon enough...'

The glistening sweat on Rika's body became visible as the tanned womans body shined within the light above her, the bra that held Rika's breasts back, was begging to be released, her panties outline was visible from the tight shorts she wore, her slender waist added to the allure behind Rika's beautifulness.

Rika reached for the button on her light blue denim shorts and spent several moments trying to undo the button that held the shorts on her slender waist. After finally unclipping it, Rika looked down as she unzipped the zipper on her shorts and let her shorts fall down her slender legs with ease. Her purple panties were in visible view to herself.

Rika leaned over and grabbed another pair of shorts as she was in the midst of getting changed, the clothes she had worn prior, were previously sticking to her body due to the sweat the tanned girl was giving off at the time.

'Hmmm... luckily, I'm athletic... if I wasn't, I'd struggle to fit these clothes.'

Rika admired her slender yet athletic body as she began to feel proud of all her hard work within her training before the world ended. Although Rika was well aware about the throes of her training disappearing if she did not get back to her training soon, it frustrated the tanned girl slightly as she wanted to keep her shape.

Not wanting to think on her training too much, Rika slowly bent over and placed her slender legs into the holes of the new shorts she was going to wear on today, pulling them up, Rika felt the inside texture of her shorts skim her legs before she had placed them on her waist, Rika felt the tightness of her shorts as she reached both of her hands to button her shorts up.

The fresh pair of shorts that Rika wore, showed enough skin for any person to spare a look at her, luckily for the tanned girl, she was currently living in a hellish world so there was no chance of people giving her looks.

'Hmmm... I need to get a move on, those kids definitely heard what was happening earlier... I need to get to them before they get away.'

After buttoning up her shorts, Rika reached over and grabbed a t-shirt that was hanging over the chair right in-front of her, holding it in-front of herself, Rika scanned the t-shirt as she made sure it was in a good condition to wear, luckily for Rika she could not see any reasons to not wear the t-shirt. Shrugging her shoulders, Rika slipped her arms through the sleeves of her shirt and lifted her arms above her head for the shirt to fall down onto her.

The t-shirt that Rika chose to wear had no logo on the front as it was a plain white t-shirt.

Rika turned her attention back to the chair instead of herself as she spotted her old leather jacket she used to wear, picking it up, Rika analysed it for a few moments, the jacket she held had some sentimental value to her due to her days in-between military missions where she was able to return to her normal life, every once and a while.

Shrugging her shoulders, Rika reached inside of the leather jacket and slipped her hands within the sleeves of the jacket, the leathery texture inside the sleeves of the leather jacket, became apparent as Rika felt shivers go up her spine from the sudden feeling.

'I believe it's time to get down to business... enough playing around.'

Rika turned her attention towards the pistol that was placed on her bedsheet, the pistol for Rika was practically calling out her name, Rika smirked and walked a few feet towards her sleeping quarters and leaned down to grab the dangerous weapon. Holding it in her hand, she flaunted the weapon as she analysed the weapon with a small smirk on her face.

Rika looked over towards the silencer that was in one of the small pockets outside of the duffle bag she had on her bed.

'It's practically written in the stars, I cannot just carry this pistol around without the silencer on it, I would be living wildly if I didn't use the silencer... ufufufufu!'

Rika giggled to herself as reached over into the small pocket on the side of her duffle bag, grabbing the silencer, Rika leaned back as she gained a good grip on the metal tube, with the pistol in her left hand and the metal tube in her right hand, Rika pushed the silencer onto the end of the barrel of her 9mm pistol.

Twisting it, Rika spent a few seconds twisting the silencer onto the end of her pistol until she could no longer twist it anymore. Rika then proceeded to place her pistol within the pockets of the shorts she wore.

Rika noticed the cartridges for her pistol was scattered on her bed, without hesitating, the purple haired girl leaned over and picked up the cartridges one by one, Rika knew she had to take into account that she couldn't carry all of her ammunition on her, this led to Rika having to make a decision on how much she had to carry.

'Five Magazines for this baby... I cannot carry too much ammo as I still need to bring my sniper with me, hmmm... I cannot just leave it here, I'll put it in the bag for later use.'

Moments later, Rika dropped her pistol magazines into the pile of clothes she had placed within her bag, Rika reached back onto the bed for her remaining ammo for her sniper, luckily for Rika, she had enough ammo to cause serious damage.

Letting out a sigh, Rika grabbed the zipper and began to zip up the duffle bag before she picked up the heavy bag and placed the straps over her shoulder, finally... Rika eyed her sniper as she knew she was going to have a hard time carrying her possessions on her. Letting out a small smile, Rika found herself wanting a challenge once more.

"Well then! Let's get this party started!"

Rika picked up her Barrett and cocked back the chamber. Rika wondered how she should go about her new goal.

"..."

"..."

"... What was that?"

Instinctively, Takashi stood up, the noise coming from outside was enough to make Takashi want to know what was going on in the outside world. The loud crashes and the loud bangs were enough to draw most living people out of their homes if the majority of the people were still alive of course. Takashi knew that whatever could be lay waiting for them outside, could potential be their enemy or their friend.

Taking a few steps forward and around the coffee table placed in the middle of the room, Takashi slowly approached the curtains which were pulled together and pulled the left side of the curtain open slightly to give himself a view on the outside world for the first time in a while.

"Takashi... is there...anything out the front?"

Rei began to stand up before Takashi turned to the brown-haired girl and gestured her to be silent, not long after, Takashi turned to Saeko and did the same thing before turning back to the opening in the curtain.

'The hell... Is this person trying to break into our ground? Do they even know we are here? What is even going on to be out at this point...'

Takashi found himself with a lot of unanswered questions that he wanted so badly to know, Takashi narrowed his eyes at the one goon as he fiddled with the newly placed chain on the gate, seeing if there were any ways to break into the premise of the separated house. Takashi continued to watch the goon like a hawk as he thought. Saeko and Rei were completely lost at the situation that was occurring. Saya watched

"Hey guys... what's going on?"

"""Shhhhh!"""

Rei, Saeko and Takashi turned to the boy who entered the room and immediately tried to silence him, Kohta nodded apologetically and backed away as he pointed towards the back room before backing off into the other room. Takashi turned his attention back to the outside.

"Rei and Saeko?"

Takashi called both girls name's as he continued to look outside without looking back at the two girls a single time. The two girls turned their attention from a scurrying Kohta to Takashi once again.

"What is it?"

"Yes Takashi?"

The two women continued to watch Takashi as he took a few moments to pause and think whilst he watched the situation outside. It became clear to the two women that there was definitely something outside. However, it didn't change that they had no idea what Takashi was engrossed with.

'It definitely appears that we have an interesting situation to deal with... god... trouble sure likes to find us, even after a few days of rest, I really do not want to be dealing with a situation like this now.'

Takashi turned around to face the girls with a serious expression.

"It seems like we have company today... A somewhat tall man with a leather jacket and messy blonde hair, standing at the front of the gate outside whilst he tries to find any way to get into the property." Takashi turned back around to check on the situation outside.

After a few moments, the man was shortly joined by the well-endowed figure of a woman as Takashi narrowed his eyes at the new arrival, however the woman wore a motorbike helmet that covered her face entirely as she communicated with the man. Takashi tried his best to read the man's lip movement, but ultimately gave up after a few moments.

"Hold on... There is someone at the front? Why don't we go outside and see what they want? That way we can finally reunite with other life for once." Rei crossed her arms as Takashi turned his attention to the brown-haired girl before closing the curtain.

"They do not exactly seem like the friendly bunch... in fact, with them being here, it asks the question... why the hell aren't the zombies that surrounded this area, all over them yet?" Takashi made direct eye contact with Rei before letting out a breath and brushing past her. Saeko watched the two exchange back and forward with a raised eyebrow

"Well, I'd assume Takashi that they most likely aren't alone... how many people were there outside?" Saeko crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at Takashi who picked up his glass of water from the coffee table and took a sip.

"One for a while and then another came, appeared to be a man and a woman, never got to look at the second as she wore a bike helmet."

"Oh? So, there was a woman outside the gate huh?"

"Yeah...? What about it?"

Takashi felt slightly nervous as he began to feel like he was being investigated by the death stare on Rei's face and the curious expression of his good friend Saeko. Although Saeko's expression soon began to become amused as he watched on with a raised eyebrow. The jealous look from Rei left him conflicted in many ways as he had an idea on why Rei was reacting the way she was, luckily for now, Takashi knew he didn't have to worry about Saeko.

Takashi's mind couldn't help but go back to the idea of there being other survivors in the world he and the people he cared about where currently living in, although so far, Takashi got the idea that the two individual's he saw outside their temporary headquarters earlier, to Takashi, something was off about them, not knowing what exactly, Takashi knew he had to remained vigilant.

Takashi knew he had to step up as the leader for the safety of his friends.

"It no longer matters, but what does matter currently, is that there is life outside of what we know! Shouldn't we be making our presences known and helping them out at all costs?" Rei tilted her head as she asked Takashi with serious expression threatening to break onto her face. Takashi took a few moments to consider what Rei was saying.

"If we did that, we might run the risk of running into a dangerous group of individuals, unfortunately in this cruel Rei, you keep your allies very slim so you can get about and survive a lot more."

Saeko answered Rei's question before Takashi could even begin to speak, Takashi agreed with the purple haired girl, turning to her, he noticed Saeko had her 'thinking face' on, leaving Takashi to be slightly amused by the sight. Rei scratched the back of her head as she knew Saeko was mostly right about the reality they were forced to live in.

Letting out a sigh, Rei knew Saeko was more than right.

"I do believe we need to draw a line though Saeko, if we become only about ourselves and ourselves alone, then we might miss out on the good people still out there, the one's that would love to work beside us as we try to survive in this very strange time... Although I agree mostly with what you are saying, we need to be optimistic about everything we go through and the encounters we witness."

"True... although we need to figure out what we plan to do truly, I heard you have some ideas on how we can get by in the future but not enough to truly understand what you, our leader, are planning." Saeko smirked as she put emphasis on 'our leader', she knew Takashi had been made the leader of the group they had going.

"Hmmm? Oh, right yes, Takashi was kind of elected to be our leader without his input...hehehehe!"

Rei giggled as she thought about Takashi being the group's leader, although Takashi remained vigilant, he was able to relax bit by bit because of the girls smiles. The idea of keeping the women in-front of him happy, made him relaxed enough to come up with a plan whilst in conversation with the two busty women.

'Those two people... by the looks of them, they couldn't have been friendly, no one lurks around the gates of a private property like that... not even when the worlds coming to an end.'

The thought of them lingering outside like they were earlier, left a weird feeling in Takashi's stomach as something did not sit right with him. He did not want to raise his suspicions quite yet in-front of the girls just in case it truly was nothing, but for now, Takashi remained silent on that specific topic, instead, choosing to comment on whatever the two women in-front of him chose to talk about.

"Hmmm! What's happening you three?" a familiar voice called out to the three from the doorway to the right of them, to their surprise, the nurse of Fujimi high school, Miss Shizuka stood at the door with a tilted head.

"Ah! You are finally out of that bath! Surprisingly, a lot has happened since then Miss Shizuka.!" Rei pointed out that the blonde-haired nurse had missed out on a decent amount. Saeko nodded as she backed the brown-haired girl up.

"Indeed, a certain few individuals decided to stop by our home according to Takashi." Saeko pointed to Takashi who was standing behind her, wearing an amused expression before nodding and confirming it was true to the blonde nurse.

"Yes, I can confirm this is correct... they are definitely not trust worthy though, I was thinking about this but something was off, it was like they were lurking about, trying to see any form of lives or maybe they could have been scouting this place...?" Takashi placed the palm of his hand on his chin as he began to think deeply about it. Hearing it from Takashi's perspective, the women thought for a few seconds.

"Well at least they are gone right...? We can finally begin our preparations to leave this place so we can advance on with our survival." Rei brought up their inevitable timing of them leaving the private property that was owned by Kohta's parents.

They had grown used to living in such an expensive house by now, this made them relatively hesitant to leave as they knew they would never be safer, although Takashi in particular, had made peace with the idea of leaving the house they resided in. As for the three women that stood in-front of Takashi, their expressions were enough to tell Takashi that they did not want to leave the building that had become their home in the last week.

"They may be gone now... but what is stopping them from returning to here with weaponry that we could only imagine?" Takashi asked the question that no one thought about, a part of Rei did not want to answer Takashi's question, instead she bit her lip and remained silent as she stared intensively.

"... That might be the case, although would a person truly be willing to hurt another person within these circumstances? During a time where most of the men and women are being killed from these creatures outside...?" Takashi could hear the emotion coming from Shizuka's voice, the blonde-haired woman felt a myriad of emotions as she thought about the horrors of everything that has happened so far.

"I'd be lying if I said that other's like us wouldn't turn on each other to get an advantage over each other, or simply to survive... This is how this world has been built... everyone is looking out for themselves in some shape or form... although do not forget, there are indeed good people out there... it means finding them will be the hardest of all."

Takashi finished before he scratched the back of his neck wryly and made an unsure expression. Shizuka nodded as she understood what Takashi meant, although she did not want to believe it, Takashi's words moved her enough to let reality sink in for her.

Rei crossed her arms as she watched each of her friends that she had grown closer to since the world ended, Saeko on the other hand, remained amused by the conversation taking place, due to past reasons, Saeko had already accepted the fate of reality and had long gotten used to it.

"Well, I wanted to ask Takashi... what is the plan from here...?" Saeko also crossed her arms and smirked at the brown haired boy as their eyes met for a few moments.

"We move tonight... I have this feeling that now is the time to get a move on whilst we are operating at our best, none of us is remotely tired, we all have enough food, clothes, water and weapons to go a long time out in this world." Takashi placed his hands in his pocket and turned around, walking over towards the curtains that showed him the private property that was gated up perfectly from the rest of the world.

All eyes fell to Takashi as he stared outside, it had long ago fell into the scary night. The darkness that loomed over into the city covered it as a whole.

"But isn't moving right now a potential problem for us in the long run...? Wouldn't It be a better idea to move in the day where we can see where we are going...? It feels forced to move right now if you are asking me." Shizuka asked him a few questions about their sudden proposal to leave their temporary home.

"Playing devil's advocate here, Takashi is right in many ways as we are bound to slip up and expose this private property to the outside world... we are lucky we haven't needed to leave this place as I predict that by now, we would have been overrun by those zombies." Saeko placed her hands on her hips as her expression was slightly serious. Takashi nodded in response.

"None of us are wrong but we need to think long term rather than thinking mere weeks or days ahead, it will come back to haunt us one day... although I have been considering locking this place up as this house is never going to be used again." Takashi placed the palm of his hand on his chin as he thought deeply.

"And... why do we need to lock up this place...? You forget that the world has pretty much ended so it no longer matters anymore." Rei wore a confused expression as she watched Takashi, she didn't understand the mindset behind his thinking, Takashi's eyes landed on the brown-haired girl.

"Well... we are not going to be able to take everything with us once we leave, especially that fresh food in the basement for example, we would need to use this place as a storage house of some sort until we can find a decent home." Takashi hoped his explanation was good enough to satisfy Rei and the other two women.

"Right... are you sure it's the right move to be leaving this home of ours now of all times?" Saeko looked up and stared at Takashi as the pair met eyes with each other, Takashi stared back at the purple haired girl before nodding.

"... Yes, whilst we could take a chance here for a few more days or so, this feeling isn't growing any smaller with every passing day, to put it simply, I believe we have over extended our stay in this place." Takashi closed his eyes as he felt the slight feeling of tiredness wave over him.

"Right... how should we go about this then?" Rei used her arm to ruffle her hair as she let out a tired yawn.

"Go about what now?"

Takashi, Rei and Saeko heard an unfamiliar voice asking them a question from the other room, with a surprised expression, the three of them turned their attention towards the door behind them as saw someone standing at the door holding Saya in a chokehold. Takashi's expression quickly turned serious as he sensed danger with this situation.

'... It couldn't be... I didn't think she'd be alive...'

Shizuka on the other hand, wore a surprised expression as her she recognised the mysterious stranger unlike her students who stood next to her and behind her, Shizuka's eyes widened at the sight of a familiar person she recognised instantly.

The situation quickly turned quiet as Takashi, Saeko and Rei did not know how to react whilst Shizuka wore a surprised expression, Saya on the other hand, wore an awkward smile as she had no idea on how to explain why she was being held in a choke hold by a stranger.

"Hey... I'm not too sure how I got like this... save me...?" Saya looked defeated as she wore a wry smile.

"Rika...?" Shizuka spoke out in shock, not knowing how to process everything happening.

"Shizuka... Shizuka...?" The purple haired woman spoke out in shock as the two friends stared at each other in shock.

The atmosphere between the trespasser and the group was awkward as each one of them did not know how to react to the situation. The students could only wear surprised expressions as they realized from Shizuka's few words that she recognised the trespasser.

The group could only wonder what was going to happen from here on out.

A few days later...

November 27th

8:39PM

The heavy sounds of footsteps could be heard as the sound of groaning became apparent, the discoloured skin and the disjointed figures limping behind as the person sprinting away tried to get more distance from the groaning zombies. Basic body parts on the human body were clearly evident to be missing on the zombies. Eye sockets and mouths full with blood were visible to the woman as she tried her hardest to escape.

The woman known as; Kiriko Miyamato was a former officer of the law, the wife of Tadashi Miyamato, both were former officers of the law that abided and looked after the city that they cared for so much...

However now...? Kiriko Miyamato was now forced to fend for herself as she survived in this hell like world.

Currently, Kiriko sprinted through an alleyway between buildings whilst looking over her shoulder with a panicked expression on her face, her face red from the tiredness of being on the run constantly, Kiriko felt like she could collapse any moment. The former officer of the law knew that the stress and tiredness being put onto her body was now catching up to her slowly.

Not only that but the backpack on her back was weighing down on her, causing her speed at which she ran at was slowing her down dramatically.

'Just great... Think Kiriko! I need... get out of here... this place is more than overruned with zombies at this point...'

Kiriko came to a stop in the middle of the alleyway with different directions she could choose to go down to, letting herself catch a breath, the woman looked back towards the slow pace that the zombies were approaching her, she analysed she had a few more seconds before she had to get a move on.

Although she relished the few moments, she could catch a breath, the woman in the last few days had been kept on her toes as she had been forced to make decisions, she had never imagined she would have never been able to consider.

Standing up straight, Kiriko let out a breath and quickly picked one of the many alleyways she could go down as she quickly began to run down. Garbage littered all over the floor in-front of her as the rats feasting on the food began to scatter in fear from Kiriko's speed.

'I cannot go to the police station! I need to head to somewhere... quiet... somewhere I can relax and regain my composure. Goddam zombies... just like those movies!'

The woman grumbled under breath as she approached the end of the alleyway and into the populated streets of the city, cars crashed everywhere, cars flipped down, cars into buildings and cars on fire. Just from a few moments of analysing, Kiriko was able to pick that up from the scene she could see.

Endless dead bodies scattered all over the streets that stretched from a distance, blood on the walls and zombies devouring dead individuals was enough to make Kiriko feel sick to her stomach, letting out a gulp, the woman looked to her left as she came to her stop.

More or less the same as everything on her right, however with a fire truck in the background that stopped any vehicles trying to escape onto the high way. Kiriko made a mental note as she wanted to remember that information for any idea of escape in the future. Although the older woman shook her head as she knew she couldn't get distracted for too long.

'My god the scenes... it feels like everything is getting worse... why did this all have to happen...?'

Kiriko walked forward slowly as she walked into the middle of the road as she got a perfect vision around her, tons of zombies surrounded her from a distance as they paid no attention to Kiriko who took in her surroundings a lot more. The sky being grey and cloudy represented exactly how Kiriko felt at this point.

Her face slightly pale, the hairs on her skin stood up as she finally allowed herself to feel the emotion, she had held herself back from since this all begun.

Closing her eyes for a moment, Kiriko let out a breath as she tried to regain her composure and her willpower back, the loud groaning and moaning of zombies could be heard as they came ever so closer at a slow pace.

Opening her eyes with a resolve, Kiriko saw the endless amounts of zombies coming towards her in a hurry, Kiriko looked around in a panic, the woman looked for any escape she could utilise, the constant gathering of zombies began to surround her in all directions, however, the only way she could go was towards the small alleyway behind her.

One problem appeared to Kiriko as it was going to be a hurdle... that was a brick wall separated her from going any further.

'Oh great... do I still have the legs to get over this wall...? It's not that tall after all... just great!'

Kiriko knew she couldn't stop herself and think, Kiriko pushed past the metal fencing that was in her way and began to run faster than ever as she mentally and physically prepared herself for the biggest test since the end of the world occurred.

As soon as she was mere feet away, Kiriko pushed herself up as both of her feet touched the brick wall, causing her to elevate her jump and pushing her even more as she clung to the slabs above her for dear life.

Kiriko felt her boots clung to as the pressure began to hold her down somewhat, in a nervous panic Kiriko pushed up the slab with the extra weight even more with a zombie clinging to her boot, as she barely held herself up, Kiriko's one hand remained on safely as she reached for her hand gun in her belt.

(BANG!) (BANG!) (BANG!) (BANG!) (BANG!) (BANG!)

Kiriko unloaded six of her bullets in the magazine into the zombie as the undead creature began to lose all grip and fall into the other pile of zombies, causing the zombies to collide into the ground with each other.

Kiriko stared at the pile of zombies below her for a few moments before she let out a breath and turned her attention towards her aching arm that was keeping her from the undead's reach. Pushing her right arm up, Kiriko was able to successfully make it to the top of the wall without any zombies being able to reach her.

Placing herself in a seated position, the woman let herself breathe and regain any composure she had lost from the life-threatening situation that occurred moments before.

'My god... I cannot hang around this city when it's like this, it's too risky... with my age I don't know how much I can keep up with this... risky behaviour.'

Looking over her shoulder, Kiriko began to hear the groans and moans of several undead as they proceeded to get off of the ground one by one, slowly, the undead began to reach up the wall with intent of bringing Kiriko down to them, with no success, Kiriko scoffed as she was too high in the air for them.

Instead, choosing to face what's in-front of her, which was the end of the alleyway which was perfectly clear of any hostility. Kiriko let out a sigh of relief before attempting to get herself off of the wall safely.

Kiriko slowly slid herself off and clung to the slab before letting go and landing perfectly on her two feet.

'Right... time to focus on getting out of here already.'

Kiriko let out a breath and readjusted her backpack and began to slowly approach the gate a meter from her, the gate appeared to be slightly open with bins to the side of her as she placed her pistol back into the belt of her light blue jeans.

(BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!)

The sound of a vehicle beeping from a distance could be heard by Kiriko as she heard the sound of a vehicle driving closer towards her direction, Kiriko felt slightly relieved to hear signs of another life within the city, it almost made her feel hopeful for life on earth.

Although there was a part of the brown-haired woman that the life that was left was corrupted at its best.

Choosing to fight her doubts, the woman pulled the gate back enough for her to slip into the pathway next to the road. To the left of her was a car that had crashed into the lamppost which caused the light to shutter on and off whilst being bent. Many of the shop doors open as the owners clearly had no time to escape the apocalypse. Blood smeared across the concrete grounds as many human bodies appeared to be disfigured by the ruthless eating of the zombies.

'It seems like I cannot stop seeing this horror show in this city... it never ends... goddam zombies.'

The woman cursed under breath as stared at the dead body that had been ravaged by zombies in-front of her, with a sad expression the woman placed her hands together and prayed silently as she prayed for a better tomorrow for the lost souls.

'Rest easy those that have witness this... horrible... horrible thing! Your souls are in a much better place than this hellhole known as earth.'

The woman opened her eyes and let her hands down as her ears began to pick up on the vehicle making noise once again... this time it was even closer... Kiriko's eyes wandered to the direction where the sound was coming from in hope that they would be heading towards her. The brown-haired woman could only hope after all.

Every moment, the noise got closer... and closer to her... Kiriko's hopes on finding other human life was getting larger by the second.

Every second to the woman felt like minutes.

Until the sound of a vehicle turning the corner to her left became apparent as Kiriko looked to her left with widened eyes as she saw the vehicle at the top of the road. In excitement, the woman quickly rushed into viewing sight as she wanted to be noticed by the saviours.

'What vehicle is that?! I've never seen such a vehicle before... wow!'

The woman stood by the side of the road as the car approached even closer... slowly the vehicle that was going quick, began to slow down, alerting Kiriko that they had noticed her presence as she stood on the side of the road, next to crashed vehicles.

The vehicle pulled up beside her as it came to a stop... the door swung open as the person behind the door moved at blistering pace towards Kiriko.

"MOM!"

Before Kiriko knew it, she was being hugged tightly as she recognised the appearance and the voice from anywhere, her eyes began to tear up and her throat began to go dry as she realised who the person clinging to her was.

"Rei..."

Even though the world had come to an end, Kiriko let the tears run as had been given the best gift since the apocalypse first began, she had long thought her daughter was dead and her being in her arms for the first time in a long time left Kiriko feeling...

Grateful... the only feeling left in Kiriko's heart was the positive emotions as she hugged her daughter for dear life whilst standing in-front of a group of individuals she did not recognise, except for one person.
