His Missing Love

In a ballroom that was 2000 square feet were 100 guests that were all royalty, an orchestra of 7 people playing music, an announcer that would announce people's titles, guards that were guarding the doorways, and butlers walking around with food platters serving the guests. The ballroom had light brown floors, white walls that had golden designs on it, a crystal chandelier that sparkled in the light, a picture of a Cross that hung up on the wall, glass doors,  a light brown wood staircase with a light brown banister, and a platform that had three silver cushioned chairs on it. Sitting in the chairs was King Gustes, Queen Janie, and Princess Chloe. Gustes wore a black suit that had a white dress shirt underneath, black dress shoes, and a silver crown that had diamonds on it. He had dark brown hair and blue eyes and was 5 feet 8 inches. Janie wore a long silver gown, black high heels, and a silver crown with yellow diamonds on it. Janie had long light brown hair that touched her back, grey eyes, and was 5 feet 4 inches. Chloe wore a purplish gray floor-length ballroom gown, black heels, and a silver tiara. She had long dark brown hair and gray eyes and was 5 feet 2 inches. Chloe looked out into the guests, seeing people dancing, eating, and mingling. She sighed and sat back in her chair. Janie asked, "Is something wrong, Chloe?" Chloe answered, "It's nothing, mom. I'm okay." Janie said, "Really? Because it looks like you're not having any fun." Gustes said, "Don't you want to dance or mingle? I see a lot of princes here tonight." Chloe said, "No thanks, Daddy." Gustes said, "Oh why not? You've been so excited for this ball." Janie said, "Yes, you've been waiting a whole month for it, and now you don't want to dance with anyone." Gustes said, "And this is a suitor ball to help you find a suitor." Chloe said, "Yeah, but I don't see anyone I really want to talk to or dance with." Gustes asked, "Are you sure?" Chloe said, "Yeah nobody…" She was interrupted by the announcer who announced, "Announcing Hos Highness, Prince Brandon." Chloe gasped, sat up in her seat, and said, "Oh, he's here!" Janie said, "Ah, so that's why you didn't want to dance. You were waiting for Prince Brandon." Brandon walked over to them and bowed. Brandon wore a gray suit, black dress shoes, and a silver crown with diamonds on it. He had dark brown hair,  brown eyes and was 5 feet 7 inches. He said, "My outermost sincere apologies for being late. My carriage broke down." A smile came to Chloe's and his face, and Gustes said, "Well, we once again welcome you to our kingdom." Janie said, "Yes, we are truly appreciative that you were still able to come tonight." Brandon said, "I would like to ask a question if I may?" Gustes said, "You may." Brandon said, "If it is alright with your Majesties and Her Highness, Princess Chloe, I would greatly appreciate it if I may have this dance?" Chloe smiled, looked towards her dad, and said, "Oh daddy, please." Gustes smiled and said, "You may." Chloe said, "Oh thank you, daddy," got down off of the platform, grabbed Brandon's hand, they walked to the dance floor, and began to dance. Janie said, "Oh, Gustes, look at them.." Gustes looked at them with a smile on his face, and Janie said, "She's so happy." Gustes said, "And he looks happy too." Janie said, "She's done this for a year now. Ever since they've met every social event we throw, she refuses to dance or socialize with any other prince, and he always shows up and to think she didn't even want to meet him at first." Gustes said, "Yes, she didn't want to meet him and now look at them. What a couple! He's the best suitor for our daughter!" Janie said, "She has that same look in her eyes that I have every time I see you." Gustes said, "He is perfect! He's a Christian who lives by the Word of God and just look at them." Janie said, "You think they'll announce a title tonight?" Gustes said, "I hope so. So we can stop throwing the suitor balls and start arranging times for them to meet." Janie said, "I think our daughter has found love." 

While the king and queen were talking, Brandon and Chloe were dancing. Brandon said, "I thank you for allowing me to have this dance." Chloe said,"I thank you for asking." Brandon said, "You are my beautiful love." Chloe smiled and said, "Oh stop. You are too kind, Your Highness." Brandon said, "You are very, very special to me. You are a true Proverbs 31 woman. You are something rare, Your Highness." Chloe said, "Oh Your Highness. Thank you." Brandon said, "I mean it, Your Highness. In fact, if I may, I would like to ask your father something." They held hands, and Chloe said, "Yes we may." 

They walked over to her parents, and Brandon bowed. Janie asked, "Have you stopped dancing already?" Brandon answered, "No, Your Majesty, I have a question, if I may?" Gustes said, "You may." Brandon said, "Well, Her Highness is something very, very special. She's truly something rare and something hard to find. She is a good thing. If I may, that is if it is alright with Your Majesties and Her Highness. I would like to court her if I may?" Tears started to run down Chloe's cheeks as she smiled. She said, "You want to court me?" He grabbed her hands and said, "Yes, Your Highness, if Your Majesties and you would give me the honor, I would love to court you." He put his hand on her face and wiped away her tears. She looked at her parents as they looked at each other with smiles on their faces. Gustes said, "You have our blessing." Brandon smiled and looked into Chloe's eyes. Janie said, "Now all he needs is yours, Chloe." Brandon asked, "May I court you, Your Highness?" Chloe nodded while saying, "Yes, yes, yes." Brandon said, "Now my beautiful love, since you've allowed me to court you, will you also allow me to have another dance?" Chloe said, "Yes, Your Highness please I would love to dance." He took her out to the dance floor, and they began to dance. 

While they were dancing, her parents were talking. Janie said, "Well, it's settled she's officially being courted." Gustes said, "By a man of God! What more could a father ask for? This is a Blessing. We must arrange times for them to meet and arrange meetings with his parents. Our two kingdoms will become one. What a Blessing this is!"
