Chapter 5 - Pack Is Under Attack

In a garden filled with roses, and other beautiful flowers. A girl was seen seated on a garden bench. She was staring intently at the flowers.

She placed her hand right above a dying rose and it blossomed once again. She stood above the empty ground and placed her hand on the ground, making more flowers blossom. The garden looked very beautiful.

The girl has beautiful long Auburn hair. Her skin was as white as snow and her brows were thick and black. She has very beautiful amber eyes.

Alpha Leo came into the garden and watched her perform her resurrection magic on the flowers.

However, he wasn't pleased with this at all.

It's been thirteen years since Leo and Rose found Snow at the beach. They've cared for her and loved her limitlessly. Even they found out that she was special and had super powers.

They tried to find out what she was but no one knew. Hence, they asked her to keep her powers hidden.

Snow visits the garden because that is the only place, she could be herself and also use her powers.

Alpha Leo snuck behind her and was about to tickle her but before he could touch her, Snow whizzed past him, and like flash, she was already standing behind him.

"Dad, it's bad manners to sneak up on people."

"Really? Leo Chuckled. "You are so grown up aren't you? So grown that you're using my words against me?" Leo chuckled and tried to pinch Snow's nose.

Snow giggled as she jumped on his back.

"Don't do that Dad, I'm not a baby anymore."

"Oh really? Alpha Leo placed her before him and feigned a frown. "How many times have I told you not to do that?

"Do What? Snow asked feigning ignorance.

Alpha Leo shook his head. He was afraid of what the pack members would do when they find out that she has so many powers.

"Snow, you have to listen to daddy and don't keep showing your powers."

"But Dad, I wasn't showing my powers to anyone" Snow looked down sadly.

"Promise me, Snow" Alpha Leo placed his hand out.

Snow shook her head in refusal. Her powers were a part of her, after all.

Asking her to live without using her powers was like asking her to live without breathing.

"But Dad, I only show my powers in here."

"I know that my dear, but still, it's dangerous because anyone can walk in here and see you."

Snow laughed out loud and pointed her finger at him.

"You're kidding, right? You know that is impossible, right? You know no one can sneak up on me."

"I know that, dear." Leo nodded and pursed his lips. He rubbed her cheek and made her look at him. "But I want you to promise me that no matter what happens, you won't show your powers before anyone."

"But Dad I..." Snow was about to refuse.

"Promise me, Snow." Alpha Leo opened his hand before her.

Seeing that her father was persistent, Snow sighed and nodded with reluctance.

"Okay, dad."

"Thanks, dear." Alpha Leo hugged Snow and tickled her to lighten up her mood.

"Dad, don't tickle!

Snow squirmed to free herself from him. She ran out of Alpha Leo's hold and she ran out of the garden.

"Snow Wait! Alpha Leo called as he ran behind her.

"Dad, catch me if you can." Snow shouted as she ran away. She ran into her room and hid behind the wardrobe.

"Snow, honey, where are you?

Alpha Leo came into the room and searched for her but she was nowhere to be seen. He called out to her but there was no response. He sniffed the air to try to look for her scent but he knew that Snow was a master at hiding her scent.

"I know you are in here, Snow."

Snow covered her mouth with her hand to prevent herself from giggling aloud. Leo went to the door and pretended to lock it.

Snow came out of her hiding spot thinking her father had already gone out but her leg was suddenly caught from under the table.

"I have caught a naughty little mouse." Alpha Leo commented as he stepped out from under the table.

"Dad, that is cheating."

"When did I cheat? Alpha Leo asked with a raised brow. "That is called being wise, not cheating."

"Really?"

"Of course, my dear."

"So, here you are."

Rose's voice came from the doorway as she stepped into the room.

"I always know where to find you."

"Are you looking for me? Alpha Leo asked as Rose came in.

"Yes, and I have searched everywhere for you."

"Oh. Why?"

Rose looked in Snow's direction and she smiled.

"Your teacher is around, dear, you should go."

"Okay, Mom," Snow immediately went out and headed to the receiving room where her teacher was indeed waiting.

"Leo, your beta, and Zeta are here to see you" Rose announced when she was sure that Snow was out of earshot.

Alpha Leo sighed as he stood up but Rose grabbed his hand.

"Is this about that rogue Alpha threatening to take over the pack?

"It is." Alpha Leo replied honestly. He would never lie to his wife.

"What exactly does he want?

"He wants the pack"

"Why?

"He is my cousin and he believes that his father was the one deserving of the Alpha position instead of my dad and now, he also wants to be the Alpha" Leo explained.

"That is wrong." Rose sighed. "How can he covet what doesn't belong to him?"

"There are some people like that in the world who covets other people's things."

"What do you plan to do now?

"I'll do all it takes to protect my pack!" Alpha Leo stood up to go Join his beta and Zeta for the meeting.

"Greetings to the Alpha" Everyone greeted as Leo stepped into the pack house.

"We are here to inform you of the latest discovery the scouts made at the border" Collins relayed to Leo as he took his seat at the head chair.

Collins was Alpha Leo's childhood friend and also his beta.

"What have they discovered?" Alpha Leo asked.

"They have found some strange individuals lurking around the border. They seem to be Felix's spies."

"What?! Leo was alarmed. "Has he come so close that he now sends spies to my pack?"

"Yes, Leo. In fact, we suspect that he has some spies buried inside the pack," Zeta Charles also added.

"Does that mean we might have been compromised?"

"That is what we think, and that is the reason behind this meeting" Charles placed some papers on the table. "We need to re-strategize. Because, if the enemies already know our....."

Before Charles could complete his words a guard rushed into the meeting room, panting heavily.

"Alpha... Raid! He bowed before Leo.

"What is it? Leo barked in angrily. "Why have you interrupted the meeting?"

The guard raised his head and pointed outside.

"The Pack..... The pack.... is under attack!
