Let's attack

My pack members were happy to hear that I am mated to the ruthless alpha. I guess that took away the fear that had been looming in their hearts. When Nolan ended his meeting with them and I called them for mine, they were so happy they kept thanking me. I realized there was nothing to talk to them about. I had come to know why they had thought I needed a mate now that my parent are dead, but after what Nolan did, there was no need for that anymore.

I returned to the mountain pack after speaking to my pack members, about random things. Seeing them so happy and at rest, after hearing that Nolan is the ruthless alpha and also my mate, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Ella and Bella offered to follow me. And though I told them not to, they wouldn't budge. When we got to the mountain pack, Ella hugged me. "I'm happy you accepted Nolan"

"I did not accept him, for real. You know that. I only did that for my pack member" I answered

"Are you sure you did that for your pack members?" Bella asked smiling.

I knew she was trying to light up the mood, so I played along. "Maybe there might be another reason but not Nolan"

"I doubt that" Bella answered

"Why will you doubt that?"

"Because you're blushing"

"I am not blushing"

"Of course you are"

I frowned. "I am not blushing. I am sure of that"

"Should I believe that, Ella?" Bella asked

"You should" I answered. "Cause that's the truth"

"I wasn't talking to you. I said, Ella"

"Whatever" I mumbled

"I don't think she's saying the truth. She's still blushing" Ella whispered

"I heard that" I answered

They ignored me. "Don't you think they will make a perfect couple?" Ella asked

I turned. "Are you talking about me?"

"Nah. Bella what do you think?. They fit right?"

Bella nodded. "Sure they do"

"Do you know she's the crazy one and he's the ruthless one?" Ella asked and Bella chuckled.

"That makes them the perfect couple" she answered

I groaned. "I know you're both talking about me. But don't think it. I am not going to marry him, ok?"

"We never said you were going to marry him though. But it seems you want to" Bella said

"I don't want to. You were..."

"Well, it seems you want" Ella supported

I scoffed. "You're so annoying"

"We are annoying?" Bella asked

"That makes you love us right?"

I groaned. "I don't love you, ok?"

"Then maybe you love Nolan"

I made to say something but found myself smiling instead. "Gosh"

Ella chuckled. "She's finally smiling"

I rolled my eyes. "I smile a lot"

"You do but not these recent days. It's good to see you smile again" Bella answered

I sighed. "Thanks for being there for me"

"No. Thanks for holding unto us"

I smiled. "You know I love you guys right?"

"No. I thought you said you don't?" Ella asked

"But she loves Nolan, you know" Bella answered

I wanted to say something but Ella spoke first. "She even accepted to be his mate in public"

I blinked. "I don't know what you're talking about but I'm sure I did that because of my pack members"

"We believed you, right Ella?"

Ella nodded. "We sure do"

I laughed. I know they don't but have to say that. "Can we get going now?. We've got tonnes of work to do"

"Sure"

Spending a few more days at the mountain pack, and putting a few things in place, I returned to the fire pack. Nigel had promised to help me with the rest work. I could tell he was sent by Nolan who had been trying to either avoid me or trying to give me the space he thought I needed. Everyone was waiting to welcome me as their luna. And though I only came back to the fire pack to make plans on attacking Salvador, they wanted me there as their luna. As I stepped out of the car, they waved at me. I guess to them, their luna has come.

They were happy to see me. I wondered what their reaction will be when they find out my reason for accepting to be his luna was not because I love him or because I wanted it but because I needed my pack members to feel safe. And we will have to return when everything is over. "You are welcome back, Olivia," Duncan said, jolting back to the present

I smiled at him. "It's good to see you again, Duncan"

Nigel, Ella, and her mate, Bella, and Nolan were there to welcome me too. Nigel smiled at me while Bella and Ella rushed to hug me. "It's good to have you back" they cooed

I stared at Nolan who looked away immediately. I shrugged. It's a good idea we stay away from each other until the battle is over.

Duncan spoke up. "You should get some rest. We will officially announce you to the pack members by evening"

I smiled. "Thanks

"Bella stretched her hand at me. "Come. I will show you to your room"

"Ok"

I thought about the perfect plan to get Salvador. With the little information I have been able to gather, most of the packs fear him. He has a connection with the packs from the northern hemisphere. I had they had been working for him for a long time, making it difficult to get him. I thought of the way to get through to him.

Papers were littered around the room. It's been over three hours since I started the planning but none seems to work. I was frustrated and could not stop groaning. A knock on my door jolted me out of my thought. I groaned. "Who's there?" I asked

"It's Nolan" was the reply I received and I furrowed my brows. What's he doing here?. I thought he's been avoiding me?. Why is he suddenly showing up in my room? "Can I come in?" He asked.

I sighed and stood up. "The door is locked. I will open it now". I walked closer to the door and opened the door. He was standing right in front of me and I couldn't stop staring at him.

"Can I come in?" He asked

I adjusted and finally nodded. "Sure". I moved away from the door for him to come in. He entered and sat down on the couch while I sat down on the bed. "You said you want to see me?"

"Yeah" he answered but kept quiet after that.

I stared at him, getting bored with the silence looming in. "You ain't saying anything," I said not liking the awkwardness between us.

He sighed. "Can we go out together?". I widened my eye. He wants us to go out together?. Why did he suddenly want that?. Does he think things will go smoothly between us now that I am his luna?. Does he think everything he did to me has been forgiven just because I am his luna?. " I mean been my luna now..."

I sighed. So he wanted to go out with me because I am his luna. "Being your luna doesn't bring us together"

"I know. I just thought people might be watching us. They would want to know if we are pretending or not"

I shrugged. "We've got things to worry about rather than bother about what people think"

"I just... Nevermind". He stood up. "I see you're busy. We will meet at my office this evening, right?"

I nodded. "Yes"

He left and I closed the door behind me. I wondered if his real reason was because of what people will say? Or he asked me to go out with him because he wanted it?. I shrugged off the feeling and decided to focus on getting a better plan.

I walked into Nolan's office. Bella and Ella were already seated. They seem to be in a deep conversation. I coughed and they turned. "You're here?" Ella said

I nodded and sat down. "Where is Nigel?. Ain't we supposed to start the meeting now?"

"He's with... Wait why do you always ask after Nigel and not Nolan?" Bella asked

"You don't have to worry, I won't take your mate away from you" I answered.

"That is not what I meant. I..."

The door opened. Nigel and Nolan walked in. After they settle down, I stood up. "Can we start the meeting now?"

Everyone nodded. "Sure"

I stared at them one after another before finally speaking up. "Let's attack"

It was like a dropped a bomb cause every one of them was surprised. "Are you been serious?" Nigel asked and Nolan scoffed.

I glared at him. "You seriously want us to attack!" Ella said almost in a yell. "Are you out of your mind? Olive?"

"I am not out of my mind. That's the best idea. Look". I handed over the papers containing the plan I had come up with to them. "I've got some plans mapped out. Check them out and you will see it's the perfect plan"

Nolan scoffed but said nothing. Nigel spoke instead. "Wow. These are great plans. But you know we can't attack someone without a location. We don't know his whereabouts. No one knows. How do you expect we do it?"

I smiled, seeing someone was willing to hear me out. "That's what I expected not the sarcasm I received earlier. Look, this is a very simple thing to do". I pointed at Nolan. "He knows the packs from the northern hemisphere. If not all of them at least two, right. All we need to do is lure them. We lure them into telling us his location"

"Do you think that's easy?" Nolan yelled. "Do you even know how risky that is?. Do you think they are some cheap packs you can lure?. I got stabbed by one of them"

"That's because you got betrayed"

"What?"

"Do you think I won't find out?. Did you not get betrayed and then attacked?"

"We are not attacking" he answered ignoring my question

I scoffed. "Why am I wasting my time?. You've always been like that. You run away at every slight chance you get. You can all stay back. If you don't want to attack, that's fine. But I Olivia, will attack and there is nothing any of you can do about it!!!"

I stormed out of the office. They can keep running if they want to but I will get some men ready and go after him and I won't spare a soul!!!
