We Are With You

Yuzu's mom Ume woke up feeling nauseous the next day and decided to call in sick for work.

After showering, brushing her teeth, and getting dressed, she went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her and Yuzu.

"Yuzu, get up!" Ume yelled while she knocked on Yuzu's bedroom door.

Silence...

"Yuzu, you'll be late for school, I made breakfast"!

Silence..

"Yuzu?"

Silence...

Ume slowly opened the door and peeked inside. She saw no one and walked in to get better look. She checked every room. She then took phone and rang Yuzu. "Come on Yuzu, pick up dammit!" Ume yelled through the phone and worried.

Some time later...

As Yuzu laid on the ground, a ring was heard. A couple walking got close to the ringing behind bushes and trees, there they saw the girl with blonde hair knocked out in the ground with partly dried blood and ripped clothes. Afraid of ruining every evidence, the lady took out her phone and called the hospital.

"We found a girl unconscious and she has blood all over, her clothes are ripped, please come quick!"

Few minutes later, the police and ambulance cars arrived to the scene.

The paramedics slowly carried Yuzu onto the stretcher and began to take her to the nearest hospital. While police officers stayed behind and called experts to gather evidence.

Aihara Apartment

Ume couldn't contact Yuzu's friends since she doesn't have their numbers, so she called Matsuri.

Ring ring ring

"Matsuri, I'am glad that you picked up. Listened, I went to Yuzu's room and she's not there, I called her but she doesn't answer. Yesterday she told me that she will hang out with Harumin, but I don't know her number. Is she with you in school or do you know where she is?"

"No, yesterday me and Harumin were at the arcade, but Yuzu didn't tell us that the three of us were going to hang out. Right now school is starting and I haven't seen Yuzu" Matsuri was now equally worried as Yuzu's mother.

"We'll go and look for her! " Matsuri yelled into the phone while she ran Harumin's classroom and dragging her out.

"Please let me know if you know something, I'll be looking for her as well." Ume said.

"Sure thing" Matsuri said then Ume hanged up. Ume grabbed her jacket and ran out the door.

"What's wrong, why did you drag me out?!" Harumin yelled at Matsuri in the hallway.

"Listen! Yuzu's mom called and told me that Yuzu told her that she was going to hang out with you yesterday, She's not at home and she's definitely not here!"After Matsuri said that, Harumin's eye widened.

"Lets's go ask Himeko if we are excused to leave come on!" Harumin and Matsuri ran to the president's office.

"Vice president!" Harumin yelled and opened the door without knocking. "we need to leave!"

"What's wrong?" Himeko asked looking at the both of them.

"We need to find Yuzu, she is nowhere to be found!" Matsuri yelled almost breaking down.

Himeko excused them and called out Kayo, Nene and Suzuran to create a search party and left one of the girls that Himeko trusts in charge.

Ume drove through the streets and got a phone call:

"Mrs. Aihara I'am calling to inform you that Aihara Yuzu was brought to the hospital. My apologies for calling sooner, Ms. Aihara Yuzu had no identification carrying with her." The woman calmly told Ume.

"I'll--I'll be there" Ume panicked and hung up, she made a sudden turn to get to the hospital.

Hospital---

"Miss I was informed that my daughter Yuzu Aihara was brought here!"

"She's on the third floor. Room 304". The woman said then looked at Ume after she located Yuzu's room where she was staying at.

"Thank you!" Ume ran to Yuzu

Ume gently opened the door and saw daughter unconscious and pale on the bed with bandage wrapped around her head, scratches and a bruised cheek. This sight made her break down tears. Yuzu was always a strong girl, but seeing her in this condition broke her heart.

She went up to Yuzu and caressed her head and kissed her forehead.

A sudden knock was heard and the doctor came inside.

"Hello, I'm Ume Aihara. Please tell me how is my daughter!?" Ume asked wanting to know Yuzu's health.

"For now she's resting. She presents symptoms of assault and rape. Her body has cuts and bruises and received a head injury. In some cases, this can cause a brain damage. We will just have to wake until she wakes up to see how much damaged she received, I'm sorry" the doctor said with sad yet professional expression.

Ume covered her mouth and sobbed. She then went to Yuzu's side and and gently held her hand.

A few minutes later...

"Did you have any news to Yuzu?!" Matsuri barely asked trying to catch her breath from running a lot, as soon as Ume answered.

"I'm sorry for not telling you, Yu-Yuzu is in the hospital." Um's voce quivered.

"Wha-wha-what happened to her?" Matsuri began to get teary eyed. While Harumin was coming out from one of the malls. Harumin looked at Matsuri and ran to her worried.

"She's not well" Ume sniffled and stayed silent.

"I will go there as soon as I can!" they both hanged up after Matsuri said that.

"What happened?!" Harumin yelled worried at Matsuri.

Matsuri looked at Harumin.

---30 minutes later---

Knock Knock~~

Ume opened the door and looked at Matsuri. The pink haired girl has never seen Ume like that. Ume's eyes began to water and pulled Matsuri into a hug and cried. Matsuri looked up and was shocked and speechless by the sight of Yuzu laying on the bed all beaten and banged up.

Ume let go and walked closer to Yuzu and looked at Matsuri. "She hasn't woken up" Ume's voice barely audible to hear. Matsuri was snapped back, it was then she realized the stream of tears running down her cheeks.

"What happened to Yuzu auntie Ume?" Matsuri asked looking at Yuzu while she had a different emotions through her. But most of all she was upset and angry.

"She was found at the park, beaten..raped..and left to die" Ume said making stops to make an effort to say those words.

Everything stayed quiet.

"I-I will find that person who did that and beat the shit out of them" Matsuri said calmly with an angry and sadistic tone in her voice and kicked a nearby cabinet. She looked at Yuzu and went to her and gently hugged her while sobbing.

'They will pay for what they did to you!' Matsuri said in her mind.

Sometime later the doctor gave permission for the girls to see Yuzu and after Matsuri asked permission from Yuzu's mom, Matsuri went to the lobby and called them over.

They noticed Matsuri acting differently and as soon as they went in that room, they knew why just by the sight of their once bubbly friend.
