The Optimistic Eccentric

Unlike the average teenager, Alethia is a 19 year old girl who seemed to have no interpersonal associations and another world to her own. In the eyes of other human beings, she was silent. She often refused occassions that required her to socialise, and rarely shared her views and ideals with others explicitly, keeping most feelings and thoughts to herself. In fact, not many people would know her, or try to understand why she is the way that she is, unless they truly interacted with her. The only possible place she might be found would be in the attic of her uncle's cottage deeply embedded in the forest, and the only humans people would associate her with is her uncle (Atticus) and her rather clumsy yet much more popular female friend (Cressida). Alethia gradually came to understand how different human beings can be after years of observing and interacting. Under the guidance of Atticus and her life experiences, Alethia was actually not silent, but authentic, vividly imaginative, loyal, optimistic and slightly eccentric. It was a normal Saturday morning, with white canvases mildly tainted with specks of grey. After investing a lot of energy and time to explore the arts, Alethia decided to take a breather in the vast, tall and thick expanse of green nearby her uncle's house. It was a place where she could be herself, and at one with nature. However, things started to change when she chased after a fox and chanced upon someone rather visually appealing yet remarkably annoying. From then on, Alethia embarked on new adventures, discovered truths about her past life and crossed paths with enemies who are simply out to destroy everything she loved. Follow her footsteps to discover the true tale of optimistic yet eccentric Alethia!

Married to the Duke

Eleanor Thorne, a wealthy heiress, is despised by everyone, even her own family. Despite the constant negativity, she thrives through sheer determination and ambition. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when a drunk driver crashes into her car, sending her soul hurtling into the pages of a Victorian romance novel she once read. Eleanor awakens in the body of Evelyn, the villainess wife of the Duke of Blackwood. In the novel, Evelyn is destined to be killed for her relentless harassment of the heroine, Amelia. Armed with this knowledge, Eleanor vows to rewrite her fate. Adapting to the strictures of Victorian society proves challenging, but Eleanor's modern sensibilities clash with the established norms. As she navigates the intricate social circles, she encounters the stoic Duke, whose initial coldness gradually melts away, revealing a potential for connection. However, escaping her predetermined villainous role isn't as simple as she anticipated. The deeper she delves into the story, the more she uncovers hidden truths. Amelia might not be the innocent victim she appears to be, and the reasons behind Eleanor's ostracization in both worlds begin to intertwine. Eleanor must confront her own past mistakes and prejudices while navigating the complex web of societal expectations and blossoming love. Can she break free from the shackles of her predetermined fate and find redemption, not just in the eyes of others, but within herself?

Darkness In The Light

Ophelia was raised by a single mother and only knows her father through stories her mother tells her. Everything changed as a six-year-old Ophelia witnessed a hell-hound take her mother’s life away. She never understood how monsters got within the walls, and why the Royal Capes did not come in time. Sent to a corrupt orphanage, she spent early morning training alongside the soldiers in a nearby training camp, collecting cotton throughout the day and practising her magic in the night’s secret. No one paid any mind to her, and that was what she wanted. Until she made a friend with another orphan, who she regrettably trusted with a secret which led eyes to her. The orphanage sold Ophelia to a brothel because of her beauty, but her odd eye colours had made her a servant. One mistress took an interest in Ophelia, teaching her how to read and write. At age thirteen, the brothel wants her to ‘work’. So, she ran away and disguised herself as a boy, Lucas, and joined the Royal Cape training camp. Lucas (Ophelia) a social outcast and is always working on his skills, alone. On the annual Monster Hunt, Lucas amazed everyone and scored the highest rank than the Royals of the Five Kingdoms. Everyone wanted her, and she had to choose. However, Lucas chooses not to continue with the Royal Cape, as Ophelia has other plans. She realises she wanted the people who hurt her family to suffer. Years passed, Ophelia returned to the Odin Kingdom. The Royal Capes still wants her to return, but what is important to Ophelia is revenge. Her investigation leads her to something sinister, involving the royals, the church and an old enemy… The Demon King. Will Ophelia get her revenge? Are people going to discover Lucas’ true identity? And everything connected? Author's Note: I have placed the story on hold as I will change the plot and worldbuilding section.
