[YES] [NO]
Kyle was a man who never had any luck in life, and he was on the verge of ending it all after being fired from his minimum wage job due to a customer's complaint that turned out to be a lie. However, because the customer was an attractive lady, no one believed Kyle.
Beautiful people, they had it easy, didn't they?
This was his last step, and he knew that he wouldn't see tomorrow as he searched for a river to throw himself into. He thought his mind had finally broken as a Cyan Screen popped up when he clicked the [YES] button.
[Congratulations! You have drawn Charm!]
[Charm: There is nothing the user can't charm his way out of or into! The universe has blessed you with charisma!]
"Hahaha! I must have lost my marbles…!" Kyle muttered to himself as he readied himself for the impact below. But his phone soon rang out with a notification.
To his surprise, he saw $10,000 sitting in his account, and his jaw dropped.
"THIS IS FOR REAL!!!" Kyle screamed at the top of his lungs, nearly sending him tumbling over the edge. He immediately moved away from the brink.
"Fuck that! I want to live!" Kyle barked as he stared at his phone for a full minute.
He couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing; this was a lot more than what was in his account previously.
"Holy fucking shit!" Kyle screamed at the top of his lungs and quickly recalled that he was out in public and needed to compose himself.
There was one thing he took note of: the requirement for such a thing to happen in the first place was spending money on beautiful women. That was way too easy. But Kyle noticed it was already the middle of the night and crime was high in this area.
Kyle didn't waste time and headed back home in a heartbeat. His room was a mess, but this was the least of his problems. He jumped on his bed and instantly scrolled through his phone to see which girls he had saved there. But reality dawned on him.
"Damn… I really do get no girls…" Kyle muttered to himself. But there was no use feeling sorry for himself.
He had to take care of business first: paying his rent or he would be homeless in no time. After that, what he needed to do next was find the next beautiful girl to spend money on the following day.
Kyle went from almost ending his life to having renewed hope for a potential future. The night came to an end, and Kyle was unemployed, but who needed a job when life had given him a second lease?
Without hesitation, he transferred $6,000 to his landlord because he had backed-up rent; why not clear everything at once for a clean slate? It wasn't even up to a minute after sending the money when someone began banging on his door.
"KYLE! KYLE!" The voice called out; this was undoubtedly the voice of his landlord.
Kyle hurried to the door to see what prompted such a reaction. The moment he opened it, Mr. Jones stood there, out of breath.
"Have you sold your soul to the devil!?" Mr. Jones questioned, shaking Kyle as if trying to check if he were still there because there was no way he could cough up that amount from thin air.
"Hahaha! I did sell my soul to the devil but there is a catch…" Kyle said, pausing dramatically.
"Anyone that touches the money will forfeit their soul as well…" Kyle said, expecting Mr. Jones to panic.
Mr. Jones just stared at Kyle before letting out a faint chuckle and turning around.
"See you in hell then, buddy," Mr. Jones said before leaving the house.
He knew this was an obvious joke, but it only showed the relationship between both men as Mr. Jones had a family to feed.
Kyle didn't know what to do for the rest of the day since he was now unemployed, but he could recall the name of the lady who had wronged him: "Calista…" He muttered under his breath, realizing he might have the power to tame her in one way or another.
He quickly flipped through the internet searching for her but found nothing; she must have been anything but famous hence why she resorted to such a trick in the first place.
Kyle sighed but just as he was about to give up, he stumbled upon a page with a lady who looked exactly like her with a bio clearly pointing out that she was an actress/model in need of a gig.
Kyle smiled to himself; there had to be a way he could use this to his advantage, but first he needed to get his money up.
He put on the nicest clothes he had—though there was nothing fancy about them since they came from a thrift store—and noticed there was no money coming back after paying for rent. This system only registered when he spent money on women or at least that's what he gathered from it.
Kyle stepped out with newfound confidence; there was now a spring in his step as he had something to look forward to. This was California—Los Angeles—crawling with some of the most beautiful women in the world. Maybe, just maybe he'd bag himself an A-list celebrity; one thing was certain: he could only go up from here.
Kyle knew he had to be careful with the money in his possession because the condition for multiplying it required spending it on beautiful women. He looked around desperately trying to find someone pretty but found that everyone seemed too busy rushing somewhere else.
He realized his best bet would be visiting a store and offering to pay for any pretty lady's goods—but not too expensive; how embarrassing would it be if he offered only to find out he couldn't afford it?
Looking over his shoulder, Kyle spotted an Apple store around the corner; what better place than there to blow some cash on Apple devices?
The moment Kyle stepped into the store, fresh air hit him—a reminder that Earth wasn't made up of heat alone. A lady slowly approached him with a wild smile on her face; Kyle recognized that smile anywhere—it was what marketers wore right before advertising a product.
"Welcome sir, how may I help you?" A lady with blue eyes said.
Kyle found her mildly attractive; she wore glasses and had somewhat of a slender build.
"I would like to buy a phone and pay for it in full…" Kyle pointed out. This surprised her since most people paid in installments; it made her suspicious.
"What is up with this guy?" she thought silently while observing him. This lady was in her early twenties—exactly 20 years old—but this information didn't matter much to Kyle at that moment; all that mattered now was getting his money up as his eyes scanned around for anyone worthy of spending on.
However, all he saw were employees wearing artificial smiles in an almost empty store.
Kyle sighed as he looked at her name tag: "You're Jane… So Jane, how would you like an iPhone?"
Kyle asked right away prompting Jane's brow to raise suspiciously.
"Um… Sir, are you sure about that?" Jane asked hesitantly; she had an old Apple device that needed replacing but it wasn't her top priority at all.
"I am absolutely certain! Let's get you an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Mac Pro with some phone insurance thrown in just for fun," Kyle said cheerfully.
"Are you one of those YouTubers?" Jane questioned while looking around frantically for any hidden cameras; however her eyes found none focused on him as she watched him pay for everything without hesitation.
Jane stood speechless but wasn't going turn down such an act of kindness regardless of how bizarre it seemed.
