Crossing The Dark Pit.

As soon as the status opened, This he screamed on top his lungs..... well, he bleated on top of his lungs I should say.

(MOUNTAIN GOAT? )

When he screamed he lost his balance and fell to the side right on the ground. He fell quite hard on the stoney floor. But it didn't hurt much because of the wool he had on his body. But a new problem appeared.

(I can't get up. WHY DOES THESE LEGS NOT WORK?)

At this point, the sun was in the highest point in the sky. He struggled for a while. Trying to get up. Controlling four legs turned out to be quite hard. But he still struggled with it. Eventually a message showed up.

[Oh I see you are having trouble down there 01.]

It was a message from the guy who sent him here.

'01? That's my name now? Actually, what is my name? Now that I think about it I don't remember anything about myself.' is what he thought. Then replied,

"Baaaaaaa baaAAAaaa" (Oh no worries. I'm totally fine. It will just take a FEW DECADES to get these legs going, no biggie.) says as he struggles.

[Oh so you have it all under control eh? Okay. I was thinking about helping you with that, but since you have it under control, I guess you will be fine. Now I'll just have to wait and watch how you cross that entire mountain with those newly acquired legs of yours. Not a tough job right?]

01 raised his head up a little while still lying on the ground. He saw the mountain in front of him was 70° angled steep and was about 1 and a half kilometres long. He could see some footholds on the wall but they were very small. He can't even get up on his legs and he needed to go all the way over to the other side? That's impossible.

"Baaa. Baaa? "(On second thought, I don't have it under control. I'm actually loosing my sh** just by looking at that cliff. Would you be so kind and give me some of that assistance you were talking about?)

[Oh now you're using your small brain huh? You should've used that when we started talking a few seconds ago. But it's a start.]

In The Empty World, Which was now a beach our guy was just lying on the sand under an umbrella while messaging our goat. His body was now of a man around his 30s very tall and exploding with muscle but his face and hair still, was the same.

"Haha, squirm a while more. Ima help you after a while." He was wearing a blue colored hawai shirt with palm trees on it unbuttoned showing his chiseled muscles along with green pants and sandals lying down without a care of 01.

After a while, he clapped his hands and a basket appeared in front of him. He put his hand inside the basket. In search of an orb.

"Now where did I put it." After rummaging for a while he found the orb. It was glowing majestically in multiple colors.

" Ah here you are. You have been in this for a long time now. I got you a friend. Help him when you can kay?"

[This should help you out of this situation that you are in right now. Here it comes.] he messaged the goat and a portal opened beside him. He threw the orb in the portal then he layed back down on the sand. He might look like this but he wasn't actually being lazy. He was sensing the vibrations under the sands for his todays hunt.

"Ah the little maggots are finally here." he said as a giant axe appears in his hand which he effortlessly holds in one hand. He looked and admired it for a while.

"No matter how old you get. You, my axe are still looking fabulous in that black."

The axe was double the size of the man. It was

black from the handle to the blade. The blade glittered white like the night sky and emitted a dark-red aura from around it. The opposite side of the blade had a flat hammer area which was black as well. The handles end had a small circular disc on it which was purple.

"And those details on your edges just makes you look so much better."

The man jumps to the air brings the axe over his head the brings it down to the ground as he lands as a shockwave spreads through the sand. The 'maggots' that were under the sand all started rushing at him. He senses this from the sands vibration.

" Yes come at me please."

As he says this. He gets jumped by 6 spiked creatures all at once. These things had yellow colored bodies with spikes coming out of there bodies that spinned. There were 3 of them who were behind and shot spikes that shined yellow.

"It's always the 9 of you first. This has gotten boring after so many decades."

Meanwhile, the goat was still struggling to get up. As he was struggling, suddenly he felt as if his head was being pinched by a giant clipper. It didn't last for long but for the time it did it hurt a little

"Ba!"(Ouch!)

'What was that??' as he thought that, the status screen opened. Everything was the same. Except there was a new section just before Soul Strength.

[Soul Skills - Memory assimilation(G.G)]

Seeing this he thought what does this even do?

Another panel opened with the details of the screen

[This skill allows you to live through the memory of the body you are in. ]

When the panel opened 01 was immediately blinded by the word G O D G I F T E D. It was shining brightly in many colours blinding 01.

"BAA,BAAA" (TOO BRIGHT , TOO BRIGHT)

As he thought this it became much easier to the eye but was still shining in multicoloured. He also thought about the grade naming and finally realised something that he should've realised way before. I'm surprised myself that he didn't realise this before.

'So that guy was a god??? Seriously? I thought he was a devil or something with his mysterious appearance. Maybe I should've guessed it....'

01 sighed and read the skill description.

'okay so what does it do? '

[Skill Details- When this skill is activated you live through the memory of the body that you are residing within. It merges with your mind and makes it as if you are the one that has been through all that.

The target CANNOT be a newborn.

The target CANNOT be immature for that particular species .

The target MUST be a LIVING creature.]

"Ba" (Oh, so now I just use it?) he thought. As soon as he thought that a panel showed up

[NOOOOOooooo you don't use it. I just wanted you to look at it sitting in your skill list all shiny and pretty. ]

01 makes a confused look on his goat face.

"Baa? (what?)

01 felt a shiver go through his spine. Last time and the only time he met the guy he was in severe pain. He absolutely did NOT want to go through that pain again. So he as politely as he can asked

"Baaaaaaa?"(How do I use this skill if you could please tell me?)

2 panels showed up. The one on the left said

[Just THINK ABOUT IT.] And the other one said

01 figured that the left one was from the tester and the right one is the assistant. So..... as the instructions he got he thought about using the skill.

'Umm, Use skill?'

Instantly he learned how to control his body, eat, drink, sit, ruminate etc. Bu as soon as he learnt all of this, it followed with a intense pain to the head. Also,with this skill he also learned about the goat itself.

The goat was born in the wild. It grew up in the wild. It's parents died of old age and his siblings found there mates and left to different places. Now it was this goats turn to find a mate and..... well.... mate.... and keep the bloodline running. Apparently there is not a single goat on this side of the mountain

'Are you sure that there isn't a single goat here? This place is pretty big.' thought 01. But asking the goat is like asking himself about himself. Which isn't really gonna help. So he tried to finally get up... which was extremely easy followed by walking, jumping and running. It was as if he was doing this for 8 years.

"Baaa"(This is fun). Once he got used to moving and jumping around he walked up to the gap and looked down.....big mistake.

As soon as he saw the the dark darkness that was that hole his legs gave out and he fell on his belly.

'Oh my god this isn't some cliff. This is a one way ticket to god.'

[You don't need a ticket, you are already mine. Now of you go and cross the chasm.] The panel said.

'Easy for you to say. I'm the one who is gonna die.'

There was no reply from the god. 01 stayed seated for a while. Preparing himself mentally. After the sun tilted and was starting to turn orange, 01 got up and walked towards the gap.

'I can do this. I can do this. I'm already dead. More death shouldn't hurt...right?' When he got to the edge this time he didn't look down. But scanned the wall for foothold. For his surprise they were all mostly in a straight line accept a few that was a little random.

' Huh. This looks easy. Well this is a tutorial I suppose. And the description did say this was gonna be easy.' Thinking this he put his first step on a foothold. 'Success'. His confidence rose. With this he put another foot, then another. Like this he was in the middle of the chasm even though it took a long time. Now the sun was gone. The moon was a waxing crescent so it didn't give a lot of light. But he could still see clear because of his eyes that are able to see in the dark.

'This is convenient'

And then as he went on he stepped on a foothold one by one, he got closer. He was filled with confidence with his climbing abilities. He was faster then he was when he started. He was taking risky footholds to go to the other side faster.

Because of this overconfidence he had made a mistake his foot slipped on a foothold because of his speed and he started to fall.

'Welp, I guess this is the end'

01 fell for what could've been hours, Days, Months in all this time he was cursing at his own overconfidence. But mostly he was cursing the god. He thought that if only that guy didn't make him a test Subject.

After falling for another unknown amount of time he finally hit the ground and felt like he was a ghost again. Which he was.

"What the? I'm a ghost again?"

A panel showed up in his right.

[Scenario failed. Reset commenced]

"Commencing wh- the dark bottom changed instantly and he was back at the start of the scenario again. As a goat.

-aaa?(at?)

Baaaaa.. (Not again...)
