Chapter 1God Meet Men

Frozen steam blew from his mouth and nose as he ran with everything he had the tree branches continued to hit his body as if a hand was dragging him to death. Ralof prays to all the gods he knows for salvation, this is can't be the end of the life he's owed. However, he had no chance, Direwolf was a league above humans.

"Noo! Argh!" Fatigue finally overtook his resolve. Stumbling on tree roots is a pretty sad reason to die. "Back off!" Ralof raised his father's ax trying to prevent the inevitable. The herd slowed down a bit, perhaps a small part of the instincts remaining from the hungry wolves. However, the famine quickly pushed the herd straight at Ralof.

Death was right in front of him but it never reached him. A burly pale arm had appeared out of nowhere and restrained the Direwolf. 'What!? Except for the Giants, no human could withstand the Direwolf let alone with just one hand!' True North had a lot of big and tall men, but this was the first time Ralof felt burdened by the size of a man, or whatever this person was. Standing 2 meters, he casually twisted the Direwolf's neck and then dropped it. The other wolves saw one of them dead and lunged at the man. He caught two jumping on each side but one bit his left leg. It just made the man snort then throw one wolf into a nearby tree and then strangle the others. Only then did he peel the last wolf off his feet which he quickly killed in the same way.

When the person turned around. Ralof finally noticed the stranger's appearance. Big, burly, and old but weak were the last things that came to mind when one saw this person. But what stands out the most about this guy is how little he wears! As if the cold air didn't exist at all, he was shirtless wearing only leather on his right shoulder and leather pants along with other normal leather shoes.

"Can you stand up?" Never before had Ralof heard a voice as deep as ..." I asked. Can you Stand up?" Ralof doesn't even notice when he nods. "Good." That person then casually lifted the two wolf corpses on his shoulders without waiting for Ralof. He moved in the opposite direction Ralof had previously fled from the Direwolf.

"Wait! My name is Ralof, thanks for saving me. I owe you my life. Can I know your name?"

"My name is irrelevant and no debt is taken. This wolf is useful and has nothing to do with you."
