Finally when the new people were successfully created, not only humans and devils walked on earth, but many more creatures. Some of them being mermaids, furies, elves etc. Gender was not a thing; everyone identified as they liked to. In later decades, supernatural powers started to appear. Humans were the first to start developing them, for the rest of the species it came later. They give everyone powers due to some gods wanting to teach their creations new knowledge. So more people could enter the "afterlife." As years passed, humans built schools, and so people started getting ranked. Ranks ranging from D to SR. They did this so lower rank people couldn't be able to advance to this so-called "afterlife." Of course, this is not what the Gods wanted. Since they needed everyone.
