the glory of the kingdom
The king of high thorn held a responsibility for his kingdom and his family his job is to keep them safe no matter the cost.
One day in the kingdom of high thorn King James the ruler of the kingdom was walking along the streets to see the citizens with two Knights at his side he was well protected the king was kind to every citizen to the poor and even the rich to the king he saw them all as equals.
Then the king looked down it was a child and the child replied " i wish i could be like you rich and powerful. and then the king replied "it's not easy to be king sometimes it isn't fun and my dear child there's more to this life than riches."
and the king gave the boy a gold coin and the king repiled " take care my son one day you'll find your place among the people now good day." and the king went back to the castle the king walked towards his throne and as he sat down his son comes towards him.
He's 10 years old and pretends to be a Knight the king and his son play pretend fight with two wooden swords the son whose name was John was very fast with sword even hitting the king a couple of times then the king replied "your faster than your father but one day you will be the king of this kingdom.
And you need to not rage war on others but learn diplomacy as my father was a blood thirsty king I'm different from my father and i hope you will be better than me then" John replied "i will father I'll be strongest bravest and a peaceful king like you and the king replied "that's my son now c'mon it's getting late"
As the king was putting his son to bed John replied "father you never told me what happened to mother" and then the king turned around with a tear in his eye and the king replied "one day son I'll tell you but tonight's not the night" then the king walked out of his room.
The king walked to his room in his bed he sat thinking of the days with his queen laying beside next to the River and all his adventures with her all the good times and then the king feel asleep then hours later during the night the king heard screams outside his door.
Then Knights bust in his door replying " My king! my king!! it's the Vikings their here" the king wide eyed and nervous the king said "kill them all and protect my son i want Knights watching his room"
and the king put on his fathers battle armor it was red and light weight it had markings all over it.
and their was a big white skull symbol on the front the king said "this is madness i never thought i see them again" the king walked outside it was a blood bath Knights and Vikings killing each other blood splattering on the walls blood filing the streets
The unbearable screams the Vikings were killing the citizens the king screamed "protect the people and kill these savages" and then King saw a big viking with two axes in his hands and the king smiled and he replied "archers fire!" then arrows rain from above like a meteor shower penetrating his skin and all over his body he went down.
The king ran with his soilders and fought the remaining Vikings it was a blood bath after the battle the king replied "get rid of the bodies hurry" the king ran back to the castle and ran up the stairs to his son's room and the Knights guarding it responded "my king your son is ok" the king ran in the room to hug his son and John crying replies "father what happened i heard screaming" then the king said. "some bad men wanted to harm us they can't no more their gone".
The king gathered the planners men with strategies of war and the king gathered all the Knights in his castles and the King respsoded "gentleman you know why were here we were just attacked by the Vikings who i thought i made peace with us 20 years ago but apparently these beasts these monsters show no mercy to our people our children!!!! their are people dead our people!!!! we need to attack back I'll send my best spies we need to find out where they are."
So the king sent out his best spies to find the Vikings they searched the land asking people all over of where their hideout is one peasant man told the spies he saw the Vikings head into the caves and the caves were located in the near the river where King James wife died.
and the spies asked how big is their army and the peasant replied "bigger than last time" and the spies went back to the kingdom to tell the king. the king prepared his armor they saw the king in his father's red armour with a red cape u could see the evil in his eyes he wanted revenge we sought out with 1000 men to the Vikings base.
men in the front horses in the back we went down the exact location the spies went down the king and his men are almost their to fight the Viking horde. some of the Knights look at their king all they saw was hatred for the Vikings.
They finally saw the Vikings they were near the river the king screamed "charge!!!! kill these beasts". the horse's stormed towards the Vikings
the Knights held out their swords cutting down any Vikings and the men behind the horse's came in swords ready to kill the survivors and anyone in their way the Vikings and soldiers fought and fought blood spilled the King is blood thirsty and wanting to kill anyone who would harm his kingdom and his son. the king got of his horse and started slicing at the Vikings slitting throats.
Meanwhile the leader of the Vikings was hiding in the caves near the river while the battle is going on the king was screaming "is this best you got!!!" it was like his blood thirsty father was taking control of him the man of diplomacy suddenly gone it's like he turned into some god of war.
After the battle the Knights had 500 they lost have of Their troops the king screamed " c'mon i know your in their you fat Viking bastard."
And then a big viking walked out he was about 7ft tall waying over 275 pounds
The king said "put down your axe and fight me like a gentleman" then the king said " i need a sword" and one of the king's Knights gave it to him and the king threw the sword at the Viking and the King said " fight me battle to the death.. Like a gentleman sword to sword"
The king holding his sword behind his head waiting to strike the Viking picked up the sword the sword and said "fine then wanana die let's do this."
Then the king and Viking clash sword hitting sword the Knights watching the king fight and awed. the King then got a slice on the Vikings arm it was bleeding the king smiled and said "that blood matches my outfit now you understand why I'm wearing red.".
"Then the Viking came running towards the King sword in hand the King then moved and cut the Vikings hands off the Viking falling down on his knees the King replies "this is for my people whom you have slaughtered many and my Knights who were like brothers to me now die!!!" then the king cuts the Vikings leaders head off.
The king looks around at all the dead Viking bodies and knight bodies he starts crying he goes to his knees the Knights rush to him the king cries out "what have i become!! I'm becoming my father!! i was supposed to be different."
He looks at the dead giant viking and screams "Giant filth!! How have you hurt our people"
The King and the Knights return back to his kingdom the Knights armour is covered in blood and mud as they enter the kingdom the citizens look at them the horses caring crates of dead Knights the king replied
"bury the Knights and meet me at the cemetery." and the Knights bring the dead to the cemetery for burial."
The king takes his helmet off and says a prayer "dear heavenly Father oh how u blessed us so God have mercy on these guardians of peace and forgive me of all my sins in Jesus name i pray i know what i did was wrong just forgive me amen."
The king then leaves as the Knights burry the dead the king as he's walking is thinking about all that transpired the war the blood the death he replies to himself
"God what have i done letting all that rage control me showing no mercy am i truly a soilder of God or the devil's instrument."
The King went back to his Castle ran straight for his son's room and opned up the door John replied "father your home" the king hugged him and hugged him and the King replied "i missed u i didn't wanna leave but i had to make u safe."
The king looked at his son and looked at his eyes and the king replied "your eye's are as blue as the Ocean just like your mother's."
and John replied "can u tell me how mother died" and the king sat his son down the king then said
"Me and your mother were out camping near the river it was such a beautiful day all day we laughed we played then at night we look towards the sky see the heaven's it was beautiful all those stars and then me and your mother fell asleep then i woke up.
And i tried to wake her up then i turned her over and she had a knife in her heart and i looked on the knife it had Viking symbols on it i locked myself away in the castle. tried to be a good king cause i knew i didn't want to become my father but when they attacked the kingdom i lost control."
John looked at his father and huged him and said "mothers in a better place" and the king said yes my son she's in paradise waiting for us you'll see her son one day you'll see".
My king the words very loudly coming from outside Johns room as one of the Kings Knights replies "my king their are more" the king replies
"more what" the Knights say :Vikings their outside the Kingdom" the king tells his son to hide in his room and have Knights watch his room again.
The kings army stands at the gate and the Viking army standing on the other side the Vikings screaming King James walks up to the gate to where the Vikings are and screams "who is your leader."
Then from the Viking crowd a tall man with Viking tattoos all over his arms he was a pale man with long blond hair he had a long scar across his jaw eyes were blue as the Ocean then he said my name is gorm.
King James says "please let's settle this peacefully i don't want anyone else to die".
Gorm repiles "so much restraint for a man like you especially the man who's wife i killed."
king james screams "it was you!!! if you want war your gonna get it."
Gorm replied "There it is A man of peace ready to go war For one dead woman"
King James replied in a angry voice "1 Life is Valuable to God you Heathen... I will make war to protect my people... I tried to be peaceful but that doesn't work for you're tribe"
