Ever since the world had gone through many ages, life began to deteriorate. The plants grew wilted the second they sprout off from the ground. Animals grew extinct. But the worst of all, life became arduous.

Alas, to make matters worse, Gods with their armies of angels and Demons with their own battalion began to commence their battle for authority and power. With every clash of swords, the world burn of smouldering and infernal flames. Heavenly wrath smite down into the earth. And seven years of war, the earth became hell, worse, destroyed.

The God who felt empathy over the lost and wandering souls who lost their lives caused by otherworldly destruction, were given a new life in another world called Mirsha.

A second life for all.

A life that allowed them to breath and live once again.

Green Haven, a town under the Kingdom of Eternal Blossom, duchy held by Duchess Ignis, is a well-known town for their population of high-skilled adventurers.

And one particular adventurer, didn't seem to be one.

"I'm telling you, Shichi! You should join my party!"

An irritating shout had broken the tranquility of Green Haven.

While in particular, Ash Guild Hall had always been rowdy. But for this particular day, everything went silent for a second and all eyes turned towards the two then the latter, the usual rowdiness continued.

The girl kept on babbling on how it would benefit him by joining her party. She went on about the Silver Dungeon and slaying a dragon. But the boy would just simply ignore her.

Simply, the boy remained apathetic.

"Geez! I'm telling youuu! Join me! H-hey?! Are you ignoring me?!" The veins on her forehead would pop already but the boy just didn't bother to advert his attention. He kept on eating his favorite curry.

"Yuna, 17, Archer Class, Thief Subclass.

Overall attribute average: C+ in Rank E

Strength: D; Agility: B; Intelligence; C" Said the boy as he held a magical stone or so called Appraisal Rune that projected a graphic image of her stat information.

"H-hey?! Who gave you permission to see my stats! Creep!" she seethed while her cheeks turned red.

"Gimme that!"

She made a swoop but the boy swiftly pulled his hand, making her grab nothing but air. She puffed in anger.

"Why youuuu!"

Yuna is a seventeen-years-old girl and aspiring to be a well-known archer. Despite being short at 5'4 height, she was known for her talent in archery. She's could've been a Rank D, but since she has poor strength, she remained in Rank E. But in reality, the higher ups didn't put her in Rank D since she's so noisy and obnoxious.

"I don't have plans meddling with you, little kid."

"Li-little?!" her frustration just went up the roof!

'Shichi', just so as he was called, wasn't his real name. Just a nickname he earned for being the only adventurer who killed slimes. His skills were not worthy of acknowledgement, and the name he got from his job was a derogative insult. But he remained an unabashed and went on with it.

His real name meant darkness; Kuro. For some reason, nobody ever knew anything about him despite being a Rank F slime slayer.

Kuro, 16, no class.

"What do you mean by little?! I'm older than you!"

"Well, you look like one." He replied.

"Grrr... Forget it! Hmmph! I just want you to join me in a quest anyway. And since you're so well-known with slimes, I wanted you to help me."

"Not a chance."

This boy! Why is he so arrogant?! Doesn't he notice my beauty? Nor does he know about my talents? He should be excited to hear about me asking him to join! But here he is! Arrogant!-She thought.

"Hmp! Since I'm a nice girl, and a beautiful one. I might even allow you to date me once. And if I might like you, you might also have a chance to hold my hand." she said with a prideful smile. Her eyes closed while she gloated and arms crossed.

How about that? I'm sure he'll be surprised. I can't wait to see his face! Hihi! - she thought.

But as soon as she opened her eyes, he was unmoved. Like he didn't care at all.

"Geez!" she heaved in exasperation.

"I give up." she turned her back.

"Wait." Kuro spoke and immediately she turned towards him with high hopes that he might changed his mined due to her effortless cajoling. In truth, she had no plans in dating the boy.

"Here. You forgot your handkerchief."

"Sigh."

Kuro didn't want to meddle with her in anyway. Just minutes ago, she was persuading several strong adventurers to do her bidding. But all of them declined since they knew about her childish behavior. And just as he given up, she saw Kuro by the far-end of the room, eating his curry by the wooden furnitures. She thought to herself that it didn't matter if he was strong or not, as long as she could fill in a member for the duo quest. One more quest and she could be Rank D. Kuro should've been an easy target for her since he was a Rank F and as Rank E grants more decent pay for successful quests. But turns out, Kuro wasn't as she thought he would be.

She left the Guild Hall defeated and sad. But she just couldn't let it slide. She had to take the quest. So even if the danger was evident, she'll take it.

The quest she took was a duo quest. A quest to eradicate slimes found on the abandoned basement of a house found deep in the Blanket of Trees (Forest). It was a duo quest for a reason. A solo adventurer will have a small chance of survival if they took it. But she didn't care anymore.

Her silky green hair rippled as she ran towards the location of her quest. She avoided monsters found lurking in the forest as she swiftly moved. Rays of sun escaped the canopy of leaves and her green eyes gleamed by the light.

This is reckless, as she thought to herself as well. But her aspiration burned within her in ardent mixtures of emotion that pushed her through.

What could possibly go wrong? It's just slimes.

....

"Things have gone wrong! And now I'm trapped in a room!" she mourned.

Her clothes were marred with holes that revealed her skin. Her complexion completely went from normal to ashen as trickles of slimy liquid traveled in every part of her body.

They were no ordinary slime at all! They were caustic! Some crazy scientist made some experiment about slimes and it went bad. Long abandoned, but since the slimes kept increasing their numbers, the guild had to appeal a quest to eradicate the source.

Utterly, it could be done in just 5 minutes by high rankers, but they're too busy taking on High Grade Quests. And some didn't really care about slimes, but it was trouble for the traders to pass by the forest.

The stock for spices where sparse due to this problem.

Returning to Yuna, she had locked herself in a room while she was surrounded by large numbers of slimes outside the door. Taking this quest alone was suicide.

Her eyes began to tear up and not long, she cried.

"Uwaaaaah!"

Unbeknown to her, Kuro was standing in front of her. He had a deadpan face while he gazed upon the weeping girl.

Geez, this girl is such a pain in the ass.- he thought.

"Sigh." He heaved out a sigh of exasperation, in which she heard.

"I never knew you were such a crybaby."

Her eyes popped wide open and filled by a view of a boy standing against her, with a poker face.

"U-uwah! I-i didn't cry!" She denied.

"Yeah you did, crybaby."

She curled her hands into a fist and gritted her teeth.

"Why you... You rejected my proposal because you wanted me to see in this~state..." She was about to rant when she realized how vulnerable she was. Her clothes were damaged and her skin was showing off. Her cheeks turned scarlet red and pounced towards him in reflex. Her right arm wide open, ready to slap him.

"Pervert!" she exhaled.

Kuro simply took a step to the side and made her brush past him. Her sweep missed and fell to her face.

Blag!

She got up with a red forehead. And eyes damp with exasperation.

This girl...she's so stupid.-kuro.

Just then, his eyes widen. He lunges forward and grabbed Yuna by her head and embraced her.

"W-wha?!" Startled, her cheeks flushed.

Could this guy like me? No! No! No! And the situation we're in! I just met him but he's this bold! I.... I'm still an untouched maiden... Could this be? The romantic girl is trapped in a room with a boy? Uwaaaah!-Yuna, a puff of heat emanated from her head.

[Lighting Bolt!]

Boom! The tranquility of the room was replaced by thunderous noise as blue bolt escaped his finger. The bolt shot towards the green slime who creeped behind her, wanting to impale her. Just as the slime pounced, Kuro took Yuna by his arms and attacked the slime.

A hole appeared from the blob and soon deflated into a slimy puddle of liquid.

Yuna's eyes were wide of course. And to make things more worse for her, her ears are ringing like hell.

This boy..... I will murder this boy!-Yuna
