The Ocean

Nitya stood on the deck of a sleek, black yacht, the vast ocean stretching endlessly around her. A luxurious leather fur coat draped over her shoulders, fluttering slightly in the salt-laced breeze. Sunlight glinted off the extravagant jewelry adorning her wrists and neck, scattering iridescent reflections across the polished wood beneath her feet.

She held a sleek, unfamiliar device to her ear, her sharp eyes scanning the horizon. The only sound was the gentle rhythm of waves lapping against the hull, a deceptive calm masking the storm brewing within.

"I'm in," she announced, her voice smooth and unwavering—a stark contrast to the tranquil sea around her.

A voice crackled through the device, edged with urgency. "You can still abort the mission."

Nitya's lips curled into a knowing smile. "The decision has been made."

A pause. Then, "Believing is not enough. This could cost his life."

"He's not like the others." Her tone was steady, but her grip on the device tightened. The wind tousled her hair, mirroring the tempest in her gaze.

"I've examined his records, his mind patterns. He's just an ordinary guy."

Nitya's expression darkened. "You don't know him like I do."

"He will die."

A seagull's distant cry punctuated the silence.

The voice returned, low and grim. "I warned you. This setup is extremely risky."

She glanced at the device in her hand, unshaken. "How much time until location access?"

"Thirty seconds."

Nitya inhaled deeply. "Do it."

She ended the call and turned her gaze back to the ocean. The waves continued their endless dance, indifferent to the chaos unfolding beneath the surface. Her mind raced through possibilities, each one darker than the last. The mission was set in motion. There was no turning back.

Suddenly, green matrix-like lines flickered into existence—digital veins stretching across the vast ocean, pulsing with an eerie, otherworldly glow. The water shimmered with strange energy, distorting reality itself.

Nitya's fingers tightened around the yacht's wheel. "This has to work."

Without hesitation, she steered the vessel into the anomaly. As the boat crossed the threshold, the world around her twisted—light and sound collapsing into a spiraling vortex.

Then, everything went dark.

The Town

A dimly lit garage. Shadows clung to the corners, thick with the scent of oil and metal. VLADA, a striking Indo-Russian woman in her mid-twenties, stood tall, her beauty sharp, her presence dangerous.

Beside her, HAIDER, a man in his thirties dressed in a sleek black suit, exuded cold precision.

Vlada held a phone to her ear, voice smooth. "We've entered."

Before she could say more, the heavy garage door burst open. VIREN, a hard-faced police inspector, stormed in, flanked by armed officers.

"Hands up!" Viren barked, his voice slicing through the tension.

Vlada muttered under her breath, "Fuck."

Viren's tone was glacial. "On the ground. Now."

Vlada and Haider exchanged a glance.

Then—

With a swift kick, Vlada sent a stack of heavy crates crashing to the ground, scattering officers in chaos.

In that split second, she and Haider bolted for the back door, disappearing into the dark alley. Their sleek black sedan awaited, engine purring like a predator poised to strike.

Vlada's fingers danced over a navigation screen on the same unique device from earlier. The car roared to life, tires screeching as they tore onto the main road.

"Make a U-turn," Vlada ordered, eyes locked on the screen.

Sirens blared. Three police jeeps chased them, flashing red and blue against the city's neon glow.

Inside one of the jeeps, Viren barked into a satellite phone, voice clipped with urgency. "Two units behind them. Blockade at the next junction."

The chase intensified. The city pulsed with motion—headlights streaking across wet asphalt, buildings towering like silent sentinels as the sedan wove through traffic.

Viren's grip on his phone tightened. "This time, no mistakes." His voice dropped to a low growl. "I need more force. These aren't ordinary criminals."

A hesitant voice on the other end. "Who are they?"

Viren's jaw was clenched. "Even the underworld worships them. They're beyond anything we've faced."

Before he could say more, the line cut dead. "Hello? Damn it!"

Inside the sedan, Vlada smirked. "Phone's dead."

Haider, ever composed, navigated the streets with ruthless efficiency. A police car swerved into their path, headlights glaring.

Haider's eyes gleamed. "My favorite."

He downshifted smoothly. The sedan reversed at high speed, weaving through the chaos like a phantom. Neon and shadow blurred outside.

"Very responsive," Haider mused, gripping the wheel tighter.

"They were waiting for us," Vlada noted, scanning the map. "This was a summons."

"And they came prepared," Haider added.

Viren's voice crackled over the police radio. "Take the shot."

An officer raised his gun.

CRACK!

The bullet struck the sedan's rear tire. The car jolted violently.

"Damn it!" Vlada cursed.

Haider's grip remained steady. "Right turn. 3…2…1…"

Vlada yanked the handbrake. The car spun into a tight alley, metal screeching against brick as sparks flew.

Behind them, the pursuing jeep tried to follow—

But it was too wide.

With a crunch of metal, it wedged between the alley walls, stuck fast.

Viren's fist slammed against the dashboard. "What are you waiting for? Follow them!"

Inside the sedan, Haider and Vlada stepped out, the alley's dim glow casting elongated shadows. The echoes of the pursuit faded into the distance.

Vlada smirked, tossing an ID card onto the ground. "Want some fun?"

Haider chuckled. "After that entrance? Absolutely."

The card lay there, catching the faint light. A single enigmatic clue left behind in the darkness.

Then, they disappeared.

The night swallowed them whole.
