From Here To There, The Journey of A Young Man

A young man wokes up. His mind races with countless ideas. Today is a new day, a day ripe for seizing.

The shape of his room is a perfect cube and is occupied only by the young man, a bed, a nightstand, and half of a chewed up shoebox. With the room being five meters in length, width, and height, there is plenty of room for a single person. Each wall is painted in a blindingly bright white paint, with one of the walls having a single window and another having the front door. Unlike the walls, the door is unpainted and appears to be visibly worn down from frequent use and three past battering ram hits. It truly is a miracle he could afford a room this large, with the trout economy being in shambles and all.

The young man sits up from his duck feather mattress and pushes away his blazing, red silk blanket onto the mustard yellow carpet floor. The young man quickly reminisces about the day he was able to buy all that mustard two months ago.

I can't believe those Wiener Palace™ employees were that desperate to get rid of fifty kilograms of mustard. Painting the carpet was the most fun I've had since the Great Thrombling of '96. Those were the best two hundred bucks I've ever spent. Good times.

Eager to get the day started, the young man stands up, stretches his arms, and puts on his designer sandals (with socks on of course). The young man feels a sharp, searing pain on the back of his right ankle, the top of his left wrist, and inside his second liver.

Wow, that was a rough night. I have got to remember to not go so hard at Monopoly next week. One more maneuver like that, and I'll end up in the morgue.

It had only been four hours since Monopoly night ended. Monopoly night was a long-standing weekly tradition that the young man was dedicated to all in an attempt to replicate the high he experienced from causing the International Thrombling Crisis of '96. After going on a 128-hour winning streak using the classic "Park Place blackmail" strategy, the young man had collapsed of exhaustion. It was only through sheer luck and the hardworking window cleaners of America, was he able to find his way back home and crawl into bed.

Time to see what today's drip will bring me.
