The Demon Calmadios

Damian, who had been in the village moments before, appeared in this place in a matter of seconds. For that, he not only had to expend half of his mana but also display his terrifying speed to the eyes of whatever was in this place.

Boom! Boom!

Suddenly, an unusual sound transmitted from the sky interrupted Damian's battle thoughts. Countless pairs of eyes turned towards the source of that unusual sound. Then, all the humans who looked up at the sky stiffened.

Damian, flying and surrounded by lightning, looked at this enormous demon in front of him. A sharp expression began to build up in his dark eyes. Afterward, he completely removed the bandage that concealed his bright eyes, now displaying a vivid blue that extended to his forehead.

Calmadios possessed six arms and was approximately the same size as a giant. In his upper arms, correctly positioned, he wore a bracelet on each. He wore a mask with horns over his face and a dark loincloth held by a metal buckle.

More demons had appeared in the area, all descending from a rift in the sky and starting to flood what remained of the magical forest.

The rifts in the sky slowly expanded, creating a barrier of darkness that covered all the stars in the sky. The faint sounds of the rifts made every creature in the magical forest flee in a hurry.

Damian showed no fear on his face, waving his hands, and numerous summonings of all types appeared on the ground. His eyes were icy as he looked at all the demons appearing in this place. Shortly after, he took a deep breath of cold air. He raised his hand, and the lightning in the sky accumulated, completely halting the advance of darkness.

"If you dare to stay in this place, I won't rest until I've ended your miserable existence, demon." Damian's eyes counted all the demons around him as the lightning surrounding his body became more subtle.

A commotion erupted over the land, opening hills and stirring the seas. The magic Damian had unleashed was enough to overwhelm a battlefield.

"You are not my enemy; how dare you stand in my way, vile, miserable human?" Calmadios shouted as his demonic aura swept away everything that remained of the magical forest.

"Hold him."

Calmadios' command made all the demons around rush toward Damian, who in turn, with cold eyes, waved his hand for all his puppets to enter battle against these demons.

"I am one of the ten ancient demons of calamity, and I am here to kill the last fairy alive." After that enormous figure spoke those words, Damian's expression immediately cooled before his whole body tensed up.

Based on what he knew about the ten ancient demons of calamity, that strange and gigantic demon was one of the strongest that had ever existed among the giants, one of the most terrifying known as exterminators. Just the way this demon appeared was a sign of danger, and now all that power emanating from his body was more concerning.

This was the first face-to-face encounter with a truly terrifying demon.

It could be said that the demons he had faced were powerful, but the one in front of him had no comparison to anything Damian had faced.

"I don't know where you come from, but I will eliminate you. Here and now, I will crush you."

"Are you so sure?" The weapons in each of Calmadios' arms stirred, creating waves of air that raised gigantic dust curtains.

After five black silhouettes appeared in the sky next to Calmadios, a black light was instantly shot from one of them.

"Damian, run."

When Elaine saw those demons in the air, she knew what was about to happen. They had done the same to her ancestors. So, she immediately wanted to take Damian and escape through teleportation. However, just as she was about to try to escape with Damian, a light violently distorted their surroundings.

"Anti-teleportation magic."

Long roars emanated from the five black figures that had slowly appeared before the space became extremely turbulent. Then, a curtain of darkness enveloped them all, making them disappear from the place. Indeed, the thunder and the forest in flames were a clear sign that something bad had happened here for the other people.

Boom!

In the blink of an eye, that dark barrier made it so Elaine couldn't use her teleportation magic.

"Hehe, now we can have some fun properly. I think you both should be very satisfied to die together and have this magical forest be your graveyard." The demon Calmadios let out a fake laugh as he looked at the duo of Elaine and Damian.

After all, many unwanted visitors could come to disturb their battle, and he didn't really want to kill truly insignificant humans.

Damian looked emotionless at the demons maintaining this demonic barrier. The demon Calmadios was huge; his strength was such that it equaled the weight of a mountain, which was truly unimaginable power. Who would face a demon like this? Even Damian felt pressured.

"When the fight begins, I'll do everything I can to hold back the remaining demons. Look for the opportunity to leave and find a way to hide." Damian turned his head toward Elaine and whispered to her.

Elaine looked at him, shook her head, and said, "Don't play into his hands. The situation we're in is something even you can't solve alone. If I leave and you fight, you'll have slim chances of surviving."

When he saw Elaine suddenly become very obstinate, Damian couldn't help but feel frustrated. However, he knew there wasn't much time, and the chances of escaping alive were diminishing with time. Besides, this isn't just his fight.

"It seems there will be great magical friction when we start fighting. To make sure no one comes, I'll have to make extra preparations." Calmadios laughed and looked at the duo in front of him. Then, suddenly, he raised his arms.

Boom!

After he raised his arms, an intense amount of demonic mana flowed from within the bodies of the five figures, maintaining the barrier. Then, it transformed into a huge curtain of demonic aura that enveloped the entire forest. By doing so, this prevented magical fluctuations from leaking out. Indeed, Calmadios was determined to kill Damian today.

When Calmadios saw the dome of light from the demonic aura forming, he finally chuckled before nodding gently. Then he lowered his head and looked at Damian before saying, "Apart from the Human Emperor Ancestor of the UK, you are the first I have met who can control thunder and lightning in that way. Therefore, even though you haven't advanced to the final stage of magic yet, your position on my hit list has just been placed at the top. However, after today, maybe your name will be crossed off my list of effective deaths."

After saying those words, the smile on Calmadios' face became even more insidious. After that, large amounts of a vicious demonic aura, which seemed to cover the sky, erupted from his body. Immediately, the whole forest began to wither. In fact, even the aura of nature began to scream in anguish at the power of darkness.

Boom!

With a big smile on his face, Calmadios struck the empty space with a finger. Immediately, a beam of light from the demonic aura, viscous like blood and almost liquid, shot out from his finger and crossed the empty space before flying towards Damian at lightning speed.

When Damian saw Calmadios make his move, a strong killing intent violently surged in his eyes. Waving his sleeve, his magical aura surged before he swung his magical staff, releasing a fierce lightning bolt that collided with the approaching beam of demonic aura.

Boom!

Sparks flew in all directions as the surrounding space trembled. At that moment, the Divine General appeared with his enormous dagger protruding from his hand and fiercely attacked Calmadios, who immediately ordered his minions to engage the Divine General.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"This is incredible!"

Calmadios chuckled under his breath before slowly closing his eyes. Immediately, the sea of demonic aura behind him began to violently churn, before a terrifying pressure began to spread.

Clearly, Calmadios was about to execute a terrifying killing move.
