I Will Become The Pir-

Nicholas sat on Chaldea's rooftop, yes, outside, staring up at the Sun as he dangled his legs off the edge, resting his palms against metal that should've rightly frozen his skin off.

Now, a normal person might ask, how was that possible?

They were, as a matter of fact, situated smack dab in the middle of Antarctica, a frozen continent, with local temperatures averaging around minus 60 degrees celsius.

Well, that person clearly wasn't used to Chaldea yet.

Nicholas had just walked out of the vehicle bay, and punched out at the sky.

As expected, the weather cleared up by virtue of it literally being driven into the nothingness outside Chaldea's immediate vicinity.

And... once he cleared out the snow and weather, it didn't seem to be coming back.

Maybe because nothing else existed and that fucked up the science that made the poles cold?

He didn't really get it.

Maybe it'd be back in a while.

But hey, it didn't really matter all that much.

This was a welcome change to snowstorms and blizzards that didn't let him see anything, maybe they could have some fun, or build facilities outside Chaldea now that the snow wasn't a problem anymore.

Hmmm... he'd have to ask Olga later.

"Oi Master!! Whatcha doing up there?" Mordred called out from below, wearing a red polo shirt and short jeans that Martha had probably shoved her into, "Also damn, I wasn't thinking it'd work but..." The Knight of Betrayal looked around with a happy grin on her face, "It did, imagine the shit we can do with all this space."

Nicholas nodded slowly, "Yeah, I'm thinking we make a pool or something first though."

Again, he didn't particularly get the how and the why of this... There was land above sea level in Antarctica, he knew that but again... There was no concrete explanation to just punching all the ice away.

"Nice idea." Mordred leaned down before kicking at the Earth and jumping up to join him, "But where'd we get the water?"

"...Good point." Nicholas nodded slowly again, less responsive than usual.

"What's up with you today?" The Knight of Betrayal caught it immediately, and lightly punched his shoulder, "Somebody say something?"

"I'm just thinking."

"...You're capable of that?" Mordred looked over at him with mischief in her eyes...

Only for Nicholas to bonk her on the head, "Who do you think I am? Don't tell me you're buying into Yu's slander agenda?"

"Nahhhh..." Mordred dismissed his question with a wave of her hand, "She may not like admitting it, but you're a pretty smart guy. I just wonder if you ever get tired of playing the idiot..."

Turning his head, Nicholas regarded his ki-... Mordred in a new light before sighing and looking at the sky, "It's a helluva lot easier to shut down and do whatever than y'know, stress over how there's a literal God that deleted everything."

This brat was a lot smarter and intuitive than they'd given her credit for.

"I get it." Mordred shrugged, "We'll just bash his damn head in when we find him and that's that."

"Now you're getting it."

Nicholas' unparalleled genius allowed him to ascertain that thinking too much was a waste of time, as was scheming and all that stuff. Life was too short for worries and people should just do whatever they wanted so long as it didn't cross a line.

It wasn't like they'd be anything other than a passing thought literally two generations after they were gone.

One had to just do their best with the cards they were handed.

"You're a smart brat." Nicholas ruffled the knight's head like she was a kid, which she was.

Still not used to genuine praise, Mordred shrunk with a flustered face but leaned into his hand ever so slightly, "D-Damn right."

"Right, if you've had your moment. We're deploying to the third singularity today! Get ready!" Leonardo Da Vinci called out from below, both hands on her hips and a massive smile plastered on her face.

"Well, the water problem's solved."

Seagulls soared through a clear blue sky, littered with the rare white cloud as the Sun shone overhead, painting a beautiful picture over a vast expanse of calm ocean.

Ships bobbed up and down as they sailed through uncharted waters, those on them either looking forward to the bountiful treasure that came with new land, or terrified of the prospect of meeting a grim fate at the hands of the unknown.

All were grateful for the calm weather, for all knew of the unbridled fury nature wrought when disturbed.

But enough about that!

This is the story about a world of adventure!

A sea full of excitement!

And a man full of dreams! With a passion that seeks to drive him to the top!!

"My name is Monkey D. Luffy and I'm going to be King of the Pira-...!"

"Shut up, shitty Master! We're gonna drown!" Cu Chulainn tossed his wooden staff at Nicholas' head and... observed in slack-jawed silence as a staff made to channel the primordial runes of the God King Odin of the Norse Pantheon cracked against the back of the teenager's, "Oh what the fuck?! That's bullshit!"

"I'm sorry, Jack." Nicholas cast an apologetic glance at the Caster, trying to climb atop the staff, "There isn't enough space for both of us."

"...I'm going to kill him. This ain't the time to be referencing Titanic ya bastard! You're gonna ruin my staff!"

Oh right, rayshifting after he wrecked Sheba meant that the coordinates got all fucked up and they'd landed in the middle of the sea.

"Senpai, climb atop!" Mash offered hurriedly, sitting on top of her Shield...

She was using a noble phantasm as a makeshift boat.

A tear strolled down Nicholas' eye as he watched the girl bob up and down with the waves, "I'm..."

"S-Senpai, what's wrong?!"

"I'm so proud, that's my girl."

She'd learnt so much from him!

"U...Umm...Er... Thank you?" Mash offered politely, visibly confused.

"...Humanity's so doomed." Cu spoke flatly, climbing atop the shield and standing up straight before writing something in the air that made roots coil out from under his staff.

These then thickened and coiled around each other, forming a makeshift canoe that the Caster jumped into before offering a hand to his Master, "Come on."

"Where are the other lot?"

Mash jumped into the canoe, followed by Nicholas who narrowed his eyes in thought, "We deployed most of the servants we got this time."

"...Even the crazy bunch?" Cu asked in slight alarm.

They were following through with the plan he'd suggested in the last singularity and deploying servants all over the place, at least two with each Gudako and Yu and then the others in random groups... though nobody knew where any of the parties ended up considering the deployment got all jumbled up.

"All of them." Mash answered for her senpai, nodding her head in conviction, "Senpai, I won't disappoint you."

The Mashmallow was looking forward to making her senpai proud, he'd asked for her to be with him this time and she would try her best to meet his expectations!

Ignoring her, Nicholas stood up and held out a fist to the Sun.

"Let's go find the One Piece."

"The fuck is that?"

"I'll do my best to help you find it, senpai!"
