Chapter 28: Don't forget.

Alyssa cried on falling onto the ground.

" Tell me now , What can you explain yet I saw you with your manager my self ? " David asked madly.

Alyssa now got why David had been angry with her yesterday. It was because she attended a party without his awareness and returned with a man.

' So it's obvious he won't understand no matter how I try to explain.' Her inner voice said as looked for what to say.

" Father , What's going on ? " Calcel asked after Seeing the scene. He had heard the noise while he was still in his room so he decided to come downstairs to check what was going on.

" Ask this step mother of yours ? " David said angrily and left.

Calcel watched his father leave and picked the newspaper from the table. After reading through it , He understood why his father was angry like that.

He turned to look at Alyssa who was still on the floor sobbing. He squatting in front of her and looked at her for sometime before he helped her get up.

" You are no longer the Alyssa you used to be. You are now my father's wife and you start behaving like a grown up to avoid such. " Calcel said to her making her remember everything he told her.

" Do you also think that what's in the newspaper is true ? " Alyssa asked in disbelief.

How could he turn against her yet she had gone to the mall to get him a gift. Did she have go explain first ? Alyssa didn't know what to say or do that she just ended up just staring at him.

" It doesn't matter if it's true or not. What's important now is that you should start behaving like a married woman. " Calcel declared and turned to leave but he stopped and said.

" Don't forget that ! " He said his back facing her and left for work.

Alyssa gulped and decided to rub off her tears.

' I should clear my name ! " She promised herself and went back to her room.

After showering and changing into nice outfit , Alyssa left the house to get her car such that she would go to EE Entertainment.

She was about to get in her car when Jenny hurried to her and stopped her.

" Aly , You can't leave ! " Jenny said in a commanding tone.

Alyssa turned around to look at Jenny with a frown.

" Why can't I ? " She asked.

Jenny went closer .

" The boss said that from today onwards , You are not allowed to go anywhere unless you are going with him. "

" Oh...I didn't know. Am sorry !. " Alyssa mumbled and decided to go back inside the house.

She didn't want to cause more trouble so she just had to follow the orders.

It was after a nother week when the elections were done. David gladly won and a big party was held. Alyssa had got used to staying at home but it was becoming too much for her. She couldn't take it anymore so she decided to talk to David about it.

That evening , David was as usual in his study room. Today she didn't knock because she knew that David wouldn't allow her inside.

David was reading when he saw her come inside.

" What brings you here ? " He asked not looking at her.

" Congs upon becoming the mayor .." That was Alyssa's first statement.

" That's what a wife does when her husband reaches upon something. " David said mockingly.

Alyssa nodded and walked closer to him.

" Mr Wong , I have to request. " She said.

David decided to close the book he was reading and looked at her.

" What is it ? " He asked.

" I want to find a job. " Alyssa said .

David chuckled. Was this girl joking with him.

" Don't forget , I said you shouldn't leave the house again. "

" I know that sir. But I need money to take care of my mother , And besides that I am fade up of staying here doing nothing. "

" If it's the money that you need , I will give you but don't talk of the job because am not going to allow that. " David wasn't ready to just take it.

" Sir , I promise I won't cause any more trouble. I really do promise. "

" If you really want a job then you work on one condition. " He said

" Which condition sir ? "

" You will have to work in company. "

" Your company ? "

" Yes. Start working by tomorrow. "

" But I don't know anything about costmetics. " Alyssa wondered.

" You will learn. If not that , There's nothing more you can do. " David said getting up and leaving her in the study room.

Alyssa went back to her room and asked herself a million times how she was going to start working in the company. She was the president's wife , How would people treat her ? And what could she really do ?

' Oh my God , This will drive me insane. ' Alyssa gasped slamming on her bed. She was just like this when her phone rung.

Alyssa. " Herm , What is it ? " She asked after connection.

" Nothing , I just wanted to check on you. '

" Really ? "

" Yes. Is everything okay there ? "

" Of course. "

" That's good. I will hung up now. "

" Wait ! " Alyssa said stopping Herman from ending the call.

" What is it ? " He asked.

" I..I actually got a job. "

" Really ...Congs.. Where are going to be working from ? " Herman asked.

" In Mr Wong's company. "

" Is that so ? Am glad to here that. " Herman said.

" Fine , I will hung up. "

Alyssa put her phone down on the bed before sleeping over.

Alyssa made sure that she was early enough ready to go for work. She applied some makeup and wore office clothes today to make sure she was set enough. After all , She go a black shoulder bag and left her room.

" Good morning.." She greeted Calcel and David who were already on their breakfast.

" Are you going somewhere ? " Calcel asked looking at her unique style today.

" She's going to start working with you ! " David said as Alyssa smiled sitting down to have hers.
