Chapter 181: So...my daughter never died.

" Calcel, Since you are here, Lets pray for her soul together.." She said to him lovingly.

" Okay..."

They two knelt before the stone and had their prayers. While Gladys was completing her prayer she said in her mind.

' Alyssa, I know i might have mistaken you for Marvis. Tomorrow the DNA results will be out. If i find out that you are Marvis, It will mean that the one who died was Marvis. And if she is really Marvis, Then she is another daughter God sent to me because what she does is exactly what you used to. Her voice, her eyes, her smile and the body are all yours. I will accept and take care of her. '

After the two left the place together.

" How is your father ? " Gladys asked as they walked along the field.

" You know he is always busy with the states issues. "

" Even today ? "

" Yeah. He normally visits orphanages on Sundays. " Calcel checked on his wrist watch and it was going to 5pm.

" I guess he is riding home now. " He answered Gladys

" Calcel, Do you know that you have changed ? " Gladys suddenly asked and he stopped walking to look at her.

" What do you mean ? "

" Look at yourself. You look cheerfull. You are nolonger that Calcel who used to have a melancholy face. "

Calcel laughed when she said this and they begun walking again.

" By the way, I haven't received any news about May. Did she give birth already ? " Gladys asked and made Calcel to stop again and this time round he gave her a surprised look.

" You mean you don't know what happened ? " He asked her but her face was blank. She really never knew anything.

" Know what ? Did something happen ? " Gladys asked anxiously.

Calcel sighed as he didn't know what to answer her at the moment.

" What ? Tell me ? " Gladys became impatient and serious.

" I divorced May two months ago. " He declared .

" ..you....why ? Why would would break up ? What happened ?..." Gladys asked not believing what she heard.

' Mrs Gladys, I can't tell you that May killed Alyssa. '

Calcel thought and said. " She asked for divorce after we lost our child.."

.." You mean that , Uriah is gone ? " This was another surprise to Gladys.

" May had a stillbirth and our son died that very night of the party. I am sorry that you never got to know all this. "

" Ohh...How pitiful.."

" But it's okay . All that pain turned to memory and I moved on. I am now very fine. " Calcel said with a beam to show Gladys that all was well but he could still see her sympathetic look.

" Mrs Gladys , Let's go and I treat you a meal. How do you see that ? " Calcel asked to change her mind and she eventually smiled.

" Sure...." The two left the place together after this.

Alyssa was now having dinner with Robert when she said.

" Father, The truth is that Derrick wants to get back with me..what do I do ? "

" What ? Did he come to you ? " Robert was amused.

" Yes. He has been paying me visits. And he says that i must get back with him in only three days. " Alyssa explained sadly.

" That rascal, How dare he after he dumped you for another woman ? " Robert asked.

" Talk it about , Aren't they married now ? " Alyssa asked.

" No, The woman refused to marry him when she found out that you were pregnant with him and their wedding was canceled.." Robert said.

" Oh, He was dumped. That's why he wants me back so badly.." Now Alyssa clicked.

" Marvis, Then what are you going to do about it ? " Robert asked..

" Of course I can't marry him. I need to do something. Father , I need your help. " Alyssa requested.

" I am here for you my dear. Ask me to do for you anything you want. " Robert assured and made a smile curve on her lips.

After their dinner, Calcel drove Gladys back to the orphanage and after that he went back home.

Alyssa also left late at 8pm and she had to drive back to the city. The late jam made her arrive late at the apartment and it was already 11pm.

She had her shower and after entered her bed. After her prayers she got the phone to talk to Calcel but then something changed her mind that she only sent a message telling him that she had arrived late and wishing him a good night.

The following morning, Gladys went to pick the results from the hospital as early as 9am.

Her heart begun racing and humping hard as soon as the file was given to her. She went and sat down in fear and when she felt comfortable, She breathed out like thrice and then finally opened the envelope from where she got the papers.

Her hands begun shaking as she wasn't sure of what she would do after the result.

Gladys widened her eyes and mouth in shock and put her hand to cover her mouth after reading through the papers and her eyes released tears.

Their DNA's were matching 99.9% .

' ...So...my daughter never died ! '

Gladys begun crying at that moment she couldn't believe that all along her daughter was still alive.

She remembered the day she met her at the mall and how Alyssa jazzed her about losing her memory.

Tears left Glady's eyes even though she had expected this.

That evening, Alyssa was leaving the company when she saw Calcel's car in the parking and of course recognized it. She smiled and

walked there to him.

Calcel came out when he saw her coming towards him.

She looked up at him with a big smile. " What brings you getr this evening ? "

Calcel grabbed her by the waist close to him and looked down at her.

" Hi, Someone might see us ! " Alyssa whispered as she looked around.

This made her look cuter in his eyes and he smiled.

" Hi ? "

" What now ? Will you lose anything if people see us like this ? " He teased her.

" Yes ! "
