Skirmish

(Third Person POV)

"Irene!" Jason exclaimed as Acnologia emerged from the smoke

In an instant, Jason appeared next to Irene who was stumbling in midair

Acnologia let out a roar, causing a shockwave that caused the both of them to reel back. He also released an immense aura that was so thick and heavy that everyone on the ground were frozen in fear. They didn't imagine that the Dragon King himself would appear. 

Jason used his Gravity magic to keep himself afloat as he held Irene who was sweating and panting. 

"You're in no condition to do this." Jason said

Irene glared at him, "Unhand me!" She said pushing Jason off, "I must avenge my son's wounds!" 

Jason looked down to where Erion was sent crashing, seeing nothing but a cloud of dust. He did notice that his son was alive, his lifeforce hadn't waned. But it was the injuries he suffered that worried Jason; Acnologia had ripped his chest apart with ease. 

"Yea..." Jason said ,"I guess that's fair..." 

"Human." Jason heard Acnologia speak, "Out of my way." 

Jason turned to look at the Dragon King who was flapping his wings, staying afloat. He couldn't believe this right now; he was face to face with Acnologia, The Black Dragon of The Apocalypse. This feeling was different than Selene's and Jason knew it. 

Selene had an overwhelming feeling of power, but that's just what it was. Power. He didn't sense just that with Acnologia; he sensed an overwhelming feeling of pure destruction and bloodlust coming from the Dragon King. 

He knew right away that there was no reasoning, no way out of this. If the Dragon King is on the move, he'll stop at nothing to spread his despair and destruction. 

Irene coughed, "You think that because you're the Dragon King...." She said as she glared at him, "You can do as you wish!?!?"

Acnologia looked at her, "And what are you going to do to stop me? Black Wizard's Subordinate." He said, "I'll do you a favor and spare your army, but this Dragon.....I will slay it...." 

Jason narrowed his eyes, "I don't think so." He said, "You're not laying another finger on him." 

"Then so be it." Acnologia said, "I shall slay you too." 

He let out another aura that shook the air around him, bloodlust exuding from him. 

Jason snapped his fingers. 

"Airspace" 

He activated his air control again, keeping the Dragon King in place, and preventing him from moving. Jason was fortunate he had access to such a spell, capable of immobilizing such a terrifying foe, even momentarily. 

"What is this magic..." Acnologia said

Suddenly, Jason lunged at the Dragon, engulfing his fist in his black light. 

"Black God's Fist." 

He swung at Acnologia, hitting him in the snout, engulfing his head and neck in a massive beam of black light. The attack was enough to slightly rattle the Dragon King, who after the beam ended, was merely stunned by the attack. 

"Interesting..." Acnologia said 

Jason widened his eyes, "Shit." He said

Suddenly, Acnologia broke free from the air control and swiped his claws at Jason, striking him in the chest and body, and sending him flying. Jason hit the ground hard, causing a massive shockwave.

Jason dispersed the cloud of dust caused, looking up as he clutched his wound, several massive gashes that spewed out blood. 

"That's how it is...." Jason said, "Fucking monster...." 

Acnologia then looked over at Irene who was floating as she panted, she had exerted herself more than she would like. The childbirth had drained her far more than any of them had hoped for. She was now looking at the Dragon King himself. 

"Woman..." Acnologia said, "You smell.....strange...." 

Acnologia then flew past her, striking her with his massive claws, hitting Irene and sending her flying. As Irene was about to hit the ground, Jason caught her in midair. 

"Irene!" He exclaimed

Irene clutched her side, blood pouring out. 

"H-How pathetic!" Irene said as she winced in pain, "If only I wasn't drained...." 

She was panting heavily, even Jason was aware that she was exhausted. Giving birth to Erion had drained her much more than she had thought. Jason was reminded of how Kagura's energy was drained when she conceived their child. 

He realized this was due to Erion not only being a dragon, but his child. 

Jason then activated an enchantment on Irene. 

"High Enchantment: Regeneration" 

Suddenly, Irene's wound closed and regenerated. Both Jason and Irene were covered in a light gray and green aura. 

Jason then looked up at Acnologia who was flapping his wings, looking at the massive cloud of dust where Erion was. 

Irene panted, "I suppose, my teachings to you....they came in handy..." She said

Jason nodded, "Yea." He said, "I'll handle this...You rest..." 

He slowly set Irene aside, who kept herself afloat. 

"Jason." She said

"Look after Erion." Jason said before disappearing

Jason then appeared in front of Acnologia as he clapped his hands together, gathering magic power. 

"What are you doing?" Acnologia said, "You stand no chance against I, The Dragon King." 

"Shut up." Jason growled

"God Slayer Secret Art: " 

Suddenly, Jason released a massive and thick black aura as the skies above them turned dark. Acnologia looked above him and watched as the clouds were darkening and filled with dark magic power. 

"This power....God Slayer magic...?" The Dragon King said with amusement

Suddenly, a massive orb of black light that radiated magic power appeared above Acnologia, who was looking at with some sort of awe. 

"Outer One's Gaze" 

The orb charged up an immense amount of black light and released it in a massive beam that hit Acnologia, engulfing him in the destructive power. The beam then hit the ground below them and exploded, resulting in a massive shockwave that shattered the ground. It was a devastating 

As the beam ended, the orb of black light disappeared, leaving Acnologia in the middle of the air with a bit of smoke coming out of his body. 

"Hm...." The Dragon King said

"Tch." Jason said as he scowled, "Of course it doesn't work...." 

He then dodged another swipe from Acnologia who lunged at him with tremendous speed. As he was hit by the force of the swipe and flipped around in midair, he looked at Acnologia as he released a dark aura. 

"Maybe this will do something..." He said waving his hands

"Sage God's Airspace Shift: " 

Suddenly, a massive wave of black and dark purple light was released, covering the entirety of the area surrounding Acnologia and Jason. 

"What is this?" Acnologia said as his body froze in midair, "I cannot move...." 

Jason looked at him as he straightened up in midair, "You son of a bitch." He said seriously, "I'll end you."
