I will get stronger!

Li Feng returned to the master bedroom after putting the blanket on Li Jie without him knowing as instructed by his wife. He saw Jian Tang's long silver hair resting on her back as she struggled to brush it. Li Feng walked to the bed behind and took the comb from her hand. He started brushing her hair for her gently fearing he would break a few strands. Her soft gentle silver hair was something he really liked about her. But what really attracted him was her fierce red eyes along with the childish charm she held at that time.

"He got a full score in the national college entrance examination, huh?" It was Jian Tang's crisped voice mixed with unknown emotions that woke him up from his thoughts. Li Feng nodded, giving her a 'Hmm'. If things were fine between her and Li Jie, Jian Tang would have been in the ninth sky but right now. But now it only intensified her feeling of being miserable for not being able to celebrate it with Li Jie.

Li Feng felt the emotional turmoil in her. "You should make amends with him if things are making you this anxious." Jian Tang's back stiffened with his words but she was stubborn. Jian Tang quickly turned around and put her hand on Li Feng's mouth not wanting him to say anything further. "Let's send him abroad as you planned." Li Feng frowned at her statement but he didn't remove her hand but only moved his neck in a 'no'.

At first he thought of his wife as the perfect mother but now it looked like she even had her days. Sending abroad only meant compromising his future. He would never let that happen no matter how weak his ties with his son he had.

"You want to gamble with his future progress?" Li Feng's words were cold at the moment he stopped brushing her hair. As he waited for her answer.

Jian Tang spoke in a low voice but the silence in the room made it clear for Li Feng to hear. "I don't want my only son to end up in an imbalanced relationship like me. How am I wrong in this? Why can't both of you understand me?"

Li Feng's lips turned into a thin line at the moment he wanted to ask her, 'did she not trust him with their son?' but those weren't the words that left his mouth.

"Do you still feel our relationship is imbalanced?" Li Feng seemed to have woken up from a dream, he quickly got up from the bed and left the master bedroom. Because if he didn't leave it would have ensured a fight between him and Jian Tang.

Li Jie rolled his eyes at Li Feng's words. "You are sleeping on the sofa today yourself. And you will help me convince her?" There was a clear mockery in Li Jie's voice for Li Feng which made him shake in anger. This brat sure knew how to get on his nerves.

"We didn't fight. I only came out to get fresh air." Li Feng exerted his remaining strength after the exhaustion from the whole day to keep himself from smacking some sense in Li Jie.

Soon both of them stopped bickering and the balcony became silent. They were standing under the same dark night sky. Li Jie finally broke the silence telling Li Feng he in fact planned on breaking into the master bedroom to ask for his mother's forgiveness.

Li Feng was speechless. His grip on the railing got loose as he also sat down beside Li Jie. Both of them talked until midnight. The subject didn't matter to them at the moment. Laughing noises could be heard after some time.

All of sudden Li Jie got up with the blanket on his shoulder falling down. "I will get stronger so that my mother won't worry about Leng Rui and my relationship being unbalanced."

Li Feng looked at his son with a star-stuck expression; he clearly saw Jian Tang's image in Li Jie when he first saw Jian Tang. Li Feng also got up and advised Li Jie to get some sleep as they were going to have a family discussion tomorrow. And left Li Jie on the balcony. Li Feng's legs were fast; he clearly wanted to talk with Jian Tang as soon as possible.

Next day Li Jie woke up at 8 am as he slept late only to find many notifications. Most of which were og Li Jie's friends while there was a single message from Leng Rui. Li Jie's blood boiled as soon as he read the content of the message. He stormed off to the bathroom.

Most people would think there was nothing wrong with Leng Rui's message. But to Li Jie it was an insult. Leng Rui clearly thought of him as someone that can be ordered around and will agree to meet any time he wanted. Li Jie hit his tooth brush on the sink. And started the tap to wash his face.
