46. Lost a soul. Sorry, I'm new

YiMing blinked at her phone for a long while, she was short of words looking at the written time on it. She didn't know how to react or what to say. But looking up at The ghost who had a long smile on her, she had to ask.

"What did you do?"

The ghost let out the smile again as she casually Said "Nothing much, I just changed the time, but it's nothing much though, let's just go" She said.

"Nothing much?!" YiMing repeated, her voice almost squeaking. "How can you call this nothing? You just deprived me of hours of sleep" She placed her complaint.

"It's just sleep, so don't make a fuss over it" The ghost mumbled off.

"Just sleep?!"

"Well, the underlining factor is that" The ghost interrupted her "When you make a deal with or ghost, You should be there 2 hours earlier because we ghosts have nothing to do, so we tend to always be there on time. so you shouldn't keep us waiting" She informed

But YiMing kept staring at her as one who had stolen a great treasure from her!

"Oh, Just forget it, Let's go!" The ghost urged walking off.

YiMing couldn't say anything. All she could do was look at her phone screen again and follow the ghost. What was done had already been done, so she couldn't possibly head back and sleep!

SiChen sat down on the bench which was opposite a bus station along with the younger Grim reaper who had brought him the information last night.

SiChen, with his hands crossed, seemed to be focused, looking around the environment While the other grim reaper seemed exhausted.

He Kept yawning and stretching himself out as he sat there.

As he yawned once again, Sichen looked at him "And what do you think you're doing?"

"Uh...Well...You know we've been here all night...So I'm kinda exhausted" He slowly said.

"You're exhausted? Then I guess I should get going then"

"No no no..." The Younger Grim reaper stopped him with a smile "I'm not tired anymore" He said "I'm... active that you came to help me...So, I'll stay strong"

Both Grim reapers weren't there to admire the busy morning scenario. But rather they had some reasons for being there.

"Come think of It How could you easily lose a soul like that?" Sichen questioned the Younger Grim reaper, giving him a questioning glare.

The Younger Grim reaper Felt awkward at the moment. Chen hadn't asked him this when he came to help and he was glad. Now, answering would take another courage.

"Well... in summary, It was just yesterday when I got a Mission. I was to take a soul by a certain time. But on my way, I...I lost my card...."

Chen looked at him "Lost you...? How can you be that careless?"

"I know I know...But you know it's only been a month since I advanced to this level, so I'm not too good at this...." He explained nervously.

"But then I found the card...I guess it was in my pocket after all"

"...." SiChen was short of words. He never imagined he was this silly!

"But...when I got to the scene...The soul was gone..."

Chen rubbed his hands against his forehead

"But since we're here at the spot I lost him...I'm certain he's naturally going to return. And we'll find him" He smiled.

Chen said nothing for a while " You know there's only a 50% chance of a lost soul returning to where he died for some reasons...And not all souls do this..." He reminded.

"It's the best start at least...Maybe if we stay a day longer and he doesn't show up, I'll go look for him on my own" The Younger Grim reaper said.

Chen looked at him raising a brow "How can you even think of Looking for it on your own. This should be the first time it happened to you...So you can't do it alone...I guess I'll have to take the trouble too"

The Younger Grim reaper smiled "Really?! Then that's great! You know what...I'm grateful that you left everything and came to my aid when I called you the Other day...it made me feel special"

"Don't overthink yourself" SiChen folded his hands looking forward. He guessed the Younger Grim reaper, Or rather XiaoSheng as he was referred to, Was a special someone.

In this line of life, Chen couldn't say he had any close people or friends. He hardly trusted anyone or even made any friends! He was a natural loner.

But it all changed when XiaoSheng entered the crew. He had to admit that they had a bumpy history today, but that had simply brought them together.

They had become close friends in the area. And He was the only person SiChen trusted and took us a little brother. So it was the only reason that he came to his aid!

Chen then looked at his wrist watch "Within a few hours...I guess I'll be leaving you for some time.."

"Huh? why? Do you have something?"

Chen sighed. " I guess recently...my dear life hasn't been peaceful," He said.

"Oh... I see. Senior, don't you think it's good for your life? At least add some color and fun into it?" XiaoSheng smiled.

Chen looked at him.

"I mean...The Young lady from last night seemed to be pretty nice..."

"If you're talking about that little pile of trouble then forget it" He snapped.

"Oh..." XiaoSheng nodded with a smile.

Chen looked at his wristwatch again " I'll have to be attending my funeral soon"

"Huh? funeral?" XiaoSheng looked astonished. "How are you...."

Just then, SiChen had looked ahead only to see a familiar scene.

He had seen YiMing passing by the roadside alongside The ghost.
