"Why....did you help me?"
YiMing stood on the building's rooftop with the ghost standing beside her. Both of them had their eyes out as they admired the far distance from the school. The amazing scenario one could enjoy from the top was unimaginable indeed!
She had looked at the ghost, partly waiting for her answer.
For a while, The ghost was quiet for the meantime. It seemed as though she was thing something through.
"Did I help you?" The ghost in-between her thoughts "Well... Let's say that I felt like it was something good to do. Besides, I'm not a bad guy after all" She said.
YiMing Smiled "Oh...I don't know what to say..."
"Thank you of course" The ghost chipped in "That's what you're supposed to say, " She said.
"Oh...I see" YiMing said as she looked out of the rooftop, admiring the exquisite sight of the tall buildings at a distance.
After a moment of silence, The ghost looked up at her with the urge of saying something "But...I do find you strange. why would you let someone look down on you? You don't even attempt to defend yourself... That's strange of you"
YiMing let out a dull smile "Well... Let's just say that it's how I am..." She bit her lower Lips "I guess"
She recalled her childhood, a similar incident had occurred when some kid had also picked on her. The kid in her school kept snatching snacks and stuff that she had brought to school.
And she could say nothing. All she did was stand there and watch silently.
"Ever since I was young...I guess I couldn't do that...I couldn't fight back in situations like this, no matter how hard I try. And ... Maybe it became a part of me" Her long face bore a sad expression vividly written.
"Oh .." The ghost sympathized with her "But...You do have a rather lively personality around me...I find it hard to believe...You should try harder next time, I might not be there next time to help you, you know? So you can't always be that weak, If you're like that, Many people will want to trample over you for no reason" She pointed out.
"Oh, I see. I'll try my best" YiMing said even knowing that she wouldn't. She didn't know to do so.
"But...." YiMing remembered looking at The ghost "What did you do that to her?"
"What?" The ghost shrugged "Gave her a taste of her own, This way she'll lose her face and dare not pick on others. It's the best punishment"
YiMing slowly nodded "Maybe so... I'm grateful... This is the first time someone has done something for me...And I never imagined a ghost I don't even know would do something like this for me...So...I feel.."
"You should feel grateful" The ghost chipped in again "You should know that I don't usually do this for people"
"Oh..yes...I'm grateful.And.I feel I should repay you" She said.
"Huh? Repay me? How?" The ghost looked at her, curious.
"Eh...." YiMing thought for a while "I don't have money to give you an expensive gift...What about...I take you out to somewhere you've always wanted to go?"
The ghost let out a faint smile "Take me out?" She thought for a while. It was as though she had recalled something.
Her smile had slowly faded. But she reinstalled it quickly.
"Is there somewhere you've always wanted to go?"YiMing asked on observing her absent-mindedness.
The ghost sighed " There is" She said after a while "The Cinema" She said
"The Cinema?" She repeated, "Isn't that too casual?"
The ghost shrugged " I guess so"
"Oh...I see. Well since it's your wish, I'll do well to fulfill it" YiMing assured.
"And what are you going to do about it?" Asked the ghost.
"Well... There's no school tomorrow, So I'll treat you out to the theatre" She said.
The ghost raised a brow.
"I'm serious about it. So, Tomorrow at Ten in the morning, Meet me outside my house, and we'll head off. Okay?"
The ghost slowly let out a smile as she nodded.
"Okey then, Great. Since it's decided, that's how it'll be. If you excuse me, I have classes to attend to, so bye" She said heading off the rooftop and going down to her class
The ghost sighed as she looked up at the morning sky. She forced on a smile as she closed her eyes and disappeared.

By evening time, School was finally over and everyone headed to their various destination, obviously exhausted.
YiMing also made her way out of the school premises. She walked out of the school gate, heading home.
She was exhausted from the studies of the day and needed a good long sleep to catch up. Hopefully, the next day wasn't school as the final year student was taking their exams. With that, the juniors wouldn't be coming to school.
Passing by YiMing overhead people discussing the hot topic in school. The incident of LingLong.
YiMing guessed it was a topic that would trend for ages. She didn't care less, As long as she was placed out of the madness!
Minutes later, she was on the empty street she always took him. A shortcut.
Under the light of the streetlights hung at strategic places, YiMing passed through with her head looking forward.
She knew she wasn't the brave type, So looking around wasn't an option.
But still, even without looking around, she could have sworn that she felt someone following her!
