A few kilometers ahead, Debora looked back with horror when she saw a bright explosion envelop the entire space and as quickly as it came it disappeared seemingly without doing any damage but Amelia knew better and finally looked forwards and disappeared without any trace left behind.

(( Amelia's POV ))

I am called Amelia Earthart, many people know me as the daughter of the most powerful and rich man in the world but what most of them don't know is that my father is the patriarch of our Earthart Clan, which is as powerful as many sects despite being a clan.

Sects and clans are not known to normal people but they are known to people with high statuses or other cultivators alike.

Currently, I am traveling along with a few 'clans-men' that my father arranged for me, our destination is the Stars and Moon Forest or so the people call it.

In this place, I am currently looking for a special herb which will help my father to heal faster because ten years ago when my father was waiting for my aunt and uncle to come back he sensed a battle going on in the direction my uncles are coming from and he immediately went there, many elders shortly followed him in panic but when they were where the battle was going on he did not see anything amiss and only saw a car in the middle of nowhere, when he went towards the car he saw a note and a Life Crystal which was already bounded towards my cousin as the note said.

When my father touched the crystal he sensed someone with killing intent going towards him at an astonishing speed, after he retreated with the help of some elders my father, unfortunately, suffered from heavy internal injuries which did not allow him much time to manage our clan and the disappearance of my uncle and aunt did not help at all provoking our strength to drop but a few months ago my father obtained a pill recipe that will help him completely recover his injuries.

And right now I am going to the Stars and Moon Forest to obtain the only herb missing to concoct the pill.

When we arrived at the outskirts of the forest we stepped out of the vehicle my father arranged and started exploring in order to find the herb.

After a few hours, we were able to find it but it was guarded by a Core Formation High-Tier Demonic Beast called Light Star Snake which is a rare demonic beast with a height of 3 meters with thick scales and it specializes in speed and sneak attacks.

''Graham, try to-'' as I was about to continue I saw that Graham was already charging towards the demonic beast with an enormous momentum but when he was about to slash with his sword the

demonic beast moved with a speed that it was not able to be seen for normal people and was able to stab Graham with its tail making a terrible wound which made Graham die almost instantly.

I was a bit shocked with its strength but I recollected myself quickly before saying ''Liam, obtain me 30... no, 20 seconds!''

''Yes Miss! ''

I was taking an artifact from my spatial ring that my father secretly lend me for this travel.

After taking it out I immediately activated it which made the artifact that looked like a hand-mirror shine with a golden light which was immediately directed towards the demonic beast that was caught off guard and like cutting tofu with a sword the head of the Light Star Snake fell when the golden light passed it.

I was about to pass out when I remembered I still have not collected the herb my father needs and immediately rushed towards the cave and after I carefully put the herb in a carved box storing it

and along with the Light Star Snake's body and the artifact, I stored them in the storage ring.

''Liam let's go!'' I said without glancing at him.

''Yes Miss!''

After reaching the outskirts of the forest I sensed killing intent directed towards me and I quickly went a few steps at my left dodging a sword strike from (( Kahuel ))

''Tsk... I'm really sorry miss~... I thought I saw a demonic beast~'' said Liam while crazily laughing.

I was a bit shocked because Liam is the quiet type at least I believed so but I quickly composed myself while coldly looking at his eyes that shows greed and lust looking at me.

I knew exactly what is going to happen so I quickly took my sword and rushed at him but realizing he is not there I quickly turned around and blocked his sword that was about 30cm from my neck,

because I am 1.76m while he is at 1.84m it was a bit difficult to block and because I used a lot of my Qi while activating the artifact I cannot fight with him for a long time so I decided to quickly end this.

I quickly separated our swords and took a short distance from him while surrounding my arms and legs with Qi and quickly rushed at him once more in order to attack him while using the sword arts passed to the descendants of the patriarch of our clan.

After clashing back and forth and slowly pressuring Kahuel I realized that he was a little distracted so I quickly used my spiritual sense in our surroundings and sensed a little girl hiding in the bushes and she is just behind Liam. Instantly realizing what Liam was planning I quickly went towards him but he dodged and turned around and quickly picked the little girl and pointed his sword at her neck.

''Tsk.. tsk... tsk... look at this little beauty miss~, It would be bad if she accidentally dies right?'' Liam said while looking at me with those rotten eyes of his.

I frowned while coldly looking at him with disgust and anger.

''Hey hey miss, why are you looking at me like that?'' he said.

I just kept quiet and looked at the little girl's eyes that were full of fear despite her expressionless face.

''Tsk.. tsk.. tsk... don't think I'm not capable of harming her, I'm really serious you know~'' he said with the same cheerful tone.

Seeing me still being quiet he suddenly said without his cheerful tone with a deep and cold voice ''You should put down your sword and throw your storage ring at me.''

Without any other choice I put down my sword and when I was about to give him my storage ring I saw that he put the sword even closer to the neck of the little girl and he said with a cheerful voice and with a lustful expression on his face ''Oh right~, you should also take off your clothes~''

''You...!''

When he saw me protest he suddenly put the sword even closer to her neck and slowly a drop of blood fell on the ground.

When I saw the drop of blood I was shocked because it was not the usual red, instead, It was a mixture of red and golden blood and everything started to change when the drop of blood fell on the ground, just before this I saw the expressions of the little girl change from fear to horror then to helplessness and finally to acceptance.

I was the most confused while seeing the expressions on her eyes but when I saw that her eyes didn't even show an ounce of grievance or even anger and she just showed acceptance to death it somehow made my heart break and my eyes slowly started to drop tears.

While Liam who was not able to see anything because he was behind the little girl and because he has not realized the atmosphere changing since her drop of blood fell on the ground he misunderstood my tears and started to laugh maniacally and because of this, his sword was about to stab the little girl due to his shaking, then... everything changed.

While he was laughing and the little girl seemed to lose consciousness he realized the atmosphere was weird and looked around and when he used his spiritual sense he sensed an overwhelming amount of Qi

around the little girl and let go of her and saw the drops of blood falling from her neck to the ground, when he saw that he turned stiff and his eyes showed shock as if recognizing what is happening.

''Awa... ke... ning...'' Liam mumbled in a barely audible voice even for cultivators with nothing more than horror and despair in his eyes.

When Liam finished mumbling he turned to look at her eyes that were slowly opening and saw that her previous brown eyes slowly turning different colors first red then orange, yellow, purple, blue, green, indigo, platinum and finally it turned golden but after a few seconds, a hint of azure slowly appeared on her eyes.

When Liam first saw that her eyes turned red he was in delight, orange and he lost confidence, yellow and he was in horror, purple and he was in despair, blue and he started to regret until he saw the golden color he did not show anything, his eyes were completely empty and when he noticed the hint of azure on her eyes, not even despair and horror was able to reach his eyes when he started to cough blood and was slowly falling unconscious but he was suddenly stopped when he heard her words that had nothing but emptiness, no anger, no sadness, no laziness, no coldness, just emptiness.

'Thou broke the rules. Thou shall be judged.' when she finished saying this he suddenly felt as if he was in peak form and looked at his surroundings, he saw the same emptiness he felt in her voice and because of this he was scared enough to die, he tried to use his spiritual sense but unfortunately, he was not able to do so and as if the heavenly laws did not apply to this place and slowly he started to hear a voice he was hopeful but when he recognized the voice he was unable to feel anything anymore.

'Everything came from emptiness.'

'Nothing came from emptiness.'

'Where did you come from?'

He heard this again and again and again until he was unable to tell what is what and where is where but he still kept hearing this again and again and again...

His eyes didn't show anything and after what seemed to be billions of years or even many eons passed in the blink of an eye.

He slowly opened his mouth and with the same empty voice as the little girl he slowly said

''I don't know''

The questions finally finished being repeated and when a smile seemed to be formed on his face he heard the next that filled his empty eyes with an emotion that is not even able to be described.

'. . . Incorrect'

And slowly the emptiness surrounded him, his body, his soul, and nothing remained. Everything was as it started. Empty.
