DxD: Golden Peerage

[Do you desire to save your race from extinction? if so... accomplish a mission for me and I shall bring your race not only to salvation but also... supremacy!] Those were the words prompted in the mysterious screen in front of her as blood kept pouring out of her wounds, for Grayfia Lucifuge, a devil in the middle of the civil war against the Old Satan Faction; there could not be more treacherous yet hope-inducing words, it could be a trap, but it could not. She had the option to choose between 'Yes' and 'No'. For her who was at the edge of death with a family that needed support and a cause to fight for, there was not much of a choice. Little did she know, the mission she was tasked to do wouldn't be a simple or common one. In the faraway multiverse of Helius, one of the most powerful entities in endless existence slumbered atop his myriad treasures when his senses perceived something that shouldn't be possible. Intruders were common; Intruders remaining in his realm this long without perishing... were extremely rare. Upon appearing before the silver-haired maiden in odd attire, he huffed a breath frightening enough to make the strongest gods flee on the spot, but she remained in place - conflicted, but in place. "Before you perish, tell me... what is an ant like you doing in my realm? and why are you still alive?" Disbelief was concealed in his mighty voice. The maid thought a lot about what words had to come out of her lips for her to survive this hurdle, eventually, with her century-worth of experience in romance, she managed to find a fitting answer. "You're the Primordial Golden Dragon God, Richter-sama, right?" She asked with serenity. "Sama? I don't know about that... but you're correct. With your foot standing on my treasury realm, do you still dare ask about my identity, Demoness? you haven't-" "Richter-sama... my name is Grayfia Lucifuge and I'm here to conquer your lonely heart" "..." ** ** https://discord.gg/68Entk7Zs7 Feel free to join my discord server to have novel discussions with your peers, get illustrations and participate in polls! Ominous Sister II

[Richter's POV]

"Was it an accident?" Fia asked next, trying to 'help me'.

"It was indeed an accident, I won't give much of an explanation but I was disoriented and released my power unknowingly" I spoke the truth.

"Hundreds of thousands died…" Layla remarked.

"What an inconvenient… as proof of my and Grayfia's sincerity I shall gift you some gold to compensate the families of everyone involved" I shrugged my shoulders, what else could I do? either solve things passively or destroy them all… Grayfia wouldn't appreciate the latter.

My in-laws' faces contorted, perhaps I made it sound too sporty. Even Fia didn't seem much pleased by the way I spoke.

"Master, let me speak…" Grayfia sighed in exasperation and I chuckled, what? did I say something wrong?

"Layla… I hope you won't take my master's words as an insult… he is a Dragon God and doesn't take a lot of value into the lives of the myriad races. That said, we're willing to compensate for the lives lost and hope this will somehow appease the anger" Hearing Grayfia's words I understood what had been wrong with my wording, it is nice to have a maid in this situation... those are definitely words I would never utter.

"Are you willing to apologise?" Layla asked me, now with a softer tone, alas... that didn't change the ridiculousness of her request. Thankfully, Grayfia agreed with me.

"My master is not willing to apologise…"

"He hasn't said anything, big sister".

"Layla... my master shall not apologise" Grayfia accentuated every single word.

Things were starting to heat up as the two sisters glared at one another, even Fia looked troubled.

I smirked as Grayfia took my hand into hers.

"Why isn't he willing?" Layla seemed to temporarily relent in front of her big sister.

"My master is not at the fault for anything… it was another entity's fault for bringing us here, it was also partially my fault for being involved and ultimately… it is also the agares resident's fault for being so weak that they couldn't even take my master's aura".

!!!

"G-Grayfia…"

No one seemed to believe what she just said, even though I was a little astounded yet prideful at her standpoint. Thankfully she didn't suggest apologising, I wouldn't have accepted that either. I would never allow my maid, apostle or mate... to bow her head before anyone. Even if the personification of Helius descended and requested it, I still wouldn't allow it.

"Are you saying… big sister… that the lives of devils are that insignificant" Layla seemed to be looking for a confession of sorts.

"I'm not saying that, Layla. it is the reason why we're willing to compensate, if they were worthless, we wouldn't bother. I'm only saying that nothing of this incident is my master's fault, hence he doesn't need to apologise" Grayfia clarified herself.

At this point Fia didn't know what to say, she only looked at me with a pout as if saying: 'How did you make my daughter fall this hard for you?'

Layla's silence was ominous, she stood up and walked around the table until she arrived by Grayfia's side.

"This matter shall be decided by the satans themselves… there is a banquet that will take place in a week here in the Lucifuge Manor. It is a congratulatory party for your return, big sister. The four satans, their peers and the key members of their families will be attending. This matter can be further discussed in there, I only request of you two not leave the Lucifuge Territory until then, please" She bowed, finally showing some due respect.

Grayfia looked at me troubled, she seemed to be wishing for me to accept but didn't want to force me.

I bent down to kiss her forehead and gave a nod, I don't mind... five days? that time will be like a flash of light in my eyes, spent mating with my maid... we just did it for three days and I didn't even notice, what are five days?

Grayfia seemed to know what I was thinking and she blushed, I don't know if she was excited or scared, either way, she's not getting out of this. She carved her own grave; who asked her to be so good with her slippery tongue?

I can also spend that time bonding with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law~

"I don't have an issue" I answered finally, shrugging my shoulders.

Layla nodded towards me before putting her gaze on Grayfia.

"With that topic out of the way, I challenge you to a duel, big sister".

"…" Grayfia furrowed her brows marginally and so did Fia. I was uninterested in this duel that already had a conclusion even before it started.

"For what reason?" My maid asked.

"I desire to challenge your master… but as his maid, I can't do so until I go throw you, correct?~" Layla giggled towards me, I answered the giggle with a smirk. If she wanted to fight I didn't mind, but indeed... Grayfia wouldn't tolerate that.

I couldn't help but smirk and look at Grayfia, the two of us seemed rather amused at the notion.

Layla seemed to notice our mockery and eight wings protruded from her back as she frowned at her sister, maybe she thinks this is an intimidating display of power.

"I'm not the same little girl from before that used to look up to you" Layla declared, her voice not friendly at all. I wonder what happened to her to get so hostile towards Grayfia?

"You're right, Layla. You have become a gorgeous lady, you even had a child before me… however…"

*RUMBLE!*

Grayfia stood up and her whole height towered above Layla by several inches. The aura turned so ominous that Fia walked beside me, holding my arm and hiding behind me, she's in the end just a high-class devil, Grayfia's aura is not something she can handle. As for Layla...

Two miraculous golden wings protruded from her back in all their wide span, shocking her sister and mother.

Because those aren't devil wings at all.

Grayfia's wings were so gorgeous that I couldn't resist myself and touched them, they were so cold that my finger froze in an instant.

Her aura descended by itself, beginning to freeze the whole hall. Layla couldn't believe it.

"However… in a duel, my feelings and yours can't be in the way. I can't look at you as my little sister but instead as my master's maid and apostle, I shall represent his might".

"..." Layla frowned, as a maid, I guess she's aware that Grayfia's words are genuine.

Grayfia gave one step forward until her face was right in front of Layla's their breasts were almost rubbing each other.

"Layla… as my beloved younger sister, I'll tell you… you're not ready for this, I'll destroy you".

!!!

"Grayfia, please calm down dear" Fia finally interceded from my side, she didn't want to see her two beloved daughters like this.

Layla bit her lips and clenched her hands against her maid dress, feeling unprecedented pressure fall on her. Grayfia continued, erasing the pressure all of a sudden as if it had been a dream.

"That said… if what you desire is a friendly spar, I can contend myself~" said like a proper Demon Goddess.

Fia sighed in relief and I resisted the urge to take my maid back into the room, there is no rush, I'll wait for tonight.

"Son-in-law, is it possible that we could have a word with you in private while my daughters... spar?" Fia whispered by my side.

I had no problem as we all took a seat at the table to have breakfast, the nervous servants brought the dishes and placed them on the table for us to delight in, alas... the mood was already soured.
