The Black Star Dragon Balls

Seeing the look of both shock and worry on Lila's face, I give her a small smile of reassurance.

"I'm alright." I said to her, nodding my head.

I looked down at myself, holding my hands out in front of me.

The red aura of the Super Saiyan God form enveloped through my whole being, filling me with an eerie sense of calm.

There was this feeling inside inside of me that almost felt serene in a way. My Ki flowed inside like a calm river flowing through my veins, filling me with energy that I've never felt before.

It is a surreal experience for sure.

It's like I was in complete control, but at the same time, on the precipice of a catastrophic failure.

"What... What is this...?" Lila asked.

I looked up at her and saw that she was looking at me with shock and awe.

"Your energy... It's... It's that of a... of a--"

"God." I cut her off, nodding my head at her assessment. "Yes, I know. This is another transformation available to us Saiyans. Similar to the other one that I showed you before. This is the Saiyan God form."

"Saiyan... God...?" She asked.

I changed the name up a bit.

It always bothered me how absolutely awful the names of the god forms were.

The red haired form resembles one's base, so it should've been labeled "Saiyan God," with Super Saiyan Blue having the name "Super Saiyan God" instead.

After all, it's the Super Saiyan form of a Saiyan God.

In all honesty, I didn't want to transform into this form yet as I wanted to undergo the ritual.

In the anime, Beerus said something about Goku's body adapting to the power, making it his own, which made people think that he absorbed the energy of the Super Saiyan God transformation into his base form.

Personally, I think that Goku's body literally adapted to that level of fighting. He didn't absorb anything, he just adapted to god level speed and strength.

In the manga, he didn't absorb or adapt anything into his base form. Super Saiyan God was just a higher tier of transformation.

The problem was that I don't know which route this universe is deriving itself from.

If it's the manga, fine, I didn't miss out on anything and I'm just stressing over nothing. But if this was the anime, I have no idea if it was the ritual, the transformation itself, or his body adapting that pushed his base to god levels, which is why I was putting it off until later.

The chance of boosting my base form to god levels was just too good to pass up. But I suppose I can't always get what I want.

"Just what are you Saiyans?" Lila asks as she marvels at my new form.

I think on how I can answer that question for a moment before suddenly saying, "A celestial oversight."

"An... oversight?" Lila asked, tilting her head in confusion.

With all intents and purposes, Saiyans honestly should've never had been a race that existed.

Zamasu's art school reject ramblings aside, an entire race of people who have the potential to rival gods is not something that should've been created, or left to their own devices. And that was just speaking about the current situation.

Don't even get me started on the brokenness that was Ancient Saiyans and Arcosians.

Cumber is a prime example of why the Kais shouldn't have allowed the Saiyans to thrive as a species. A Kaioken boosted Vegito Blue couldn't beat Cumber in his base, let alone when he finally turned Super Saiyan.

With Ancient Saiyans ability to draw out more power from the transformations, I shudder to think about what would happen if Cumber ever obtained a form higher than Super Saiyan 3.

And do I even need to bring up the bullshit that was Black Frieza?

"Don't worry about it." I told her.

I turn back towards the would be Dragon balls, holding my arms out towards them, ready to start the process of creation when I was suddenly stopped.

"Wait!" Lila called out.

I turn and look at her with a bit of confusion.

"What? What is it?" I asked, wondering why she was stopping me.

"Are you sure you should be doing this?" She asked. "You said that you've never done this before. Shouldn't you get used to being in the form first before doing something like this?"

She brought up a good point. The form was very unstable due to my lack of experience with it.

"Don't worry. All I'll be doing is transferring my energy over towards the spheres as I use the technique to bring the dragon to life. It's simple enough to do without needing to much effort." I told her.

She looks at me for a moment, still apprehensive even after my explanation.

"I guess we'll see about that..." She mutters.

"It'll be fine." I said before turning towards the dragon model and stone spheres.

I raise my arms up towards them once more and prepare to speak the Divine Language.

I was doing this for two reasons.

One, I didn't want just anybody accessing the Black Star Dragon Balls. Sure, I'm not exactly a saint, but I'd rather not have an idiot stumble upon them and end up destroying seven planets because they didn't know the rules.

Two, in the off chance that the Divine Language somehow made the Super Dragon Balls as powerful as they were, then I wasn't taking any chances of making this set weaker than they could've been.

"By my name..."

As those words left my mouth, Lila's eyes went wide as saucers.

Poor girl is gonna have a heart attack if she keeps getting surprised like this. Though I suppose that's my fault.

She didn't have a chance to question it as a white light started to emanate from my hands, the model and stone balls on the floor sparking with the same energy.

"I give my energy unto to you, so that you may take you first breaths in this world, newborn dragon eternal..."

Suddenly, my energy started to disperse towards the stone balls, surrounding them in the red godly energy of my Saiyan God form.

The air picked up around us. Unbeknownst to me at the current moment, Lila heard the lightning above strike harder and more frequently, which caused her to look up at the sky and see that the purple lightning had shifted to a bright crimson.

I started to feel weak, as if my energy was not only being used as a conduit, but as if the dragon was actively seeking more and more.

My hair started to flicker and my muscles started to ache almost unbearably. Glancing down, I saw that they were switching back and forth between the skinnier look given to them by the God form and the usual appearance of my base form.

Lila was right. The dragon's creation is taking so much of my energy that it's making the form even more unstable.

But there's no use in dwelling on my own mistakes. If I stop now, the dragon dies.

And if that's how it's going to be, if this is how the dragon wants to play, then fine! I'll give it a divine fucking feast!

"Take flight, Eternal Dragon of Death, and feast on the blood of the gods!"

The red energy surrounding the orbs suddenly erupted towards the sky. A silhouette of a large dragon taking shape as I called out its name.

"Manifest, Bahamut!"

Suddenly, the silhouette was no more as a red dragon burst out from within and shot up towards the sky, taking flight for the very first time. A loud roar echoed across the planet. The sound alone causing everything to shake.

I looked up at the sky and marveled at red dragon above. I did it. I actually did it. I created an eternal dragon of my own.

My god form disappears and I feel lightheaded, my vision darkening as I hear Lila shout out my name.

"Zyleth!"
