Vs Mecha

Chapter 24 — Vs Mecha

A tranquil and calming flute was playing in the background.

Yet it couldn't hide the tense atmosphere that enveloped the place. The only hearable sounds were from the flute, the sound of breathings, the falling debris, and the caws of black crows.

This tense atmosphere lasted for merely a few seconds as it reached the peak—All erupting in a single instant.

And I spearheaded this moment, my greatsword splitting the air. The sound of the flute made me slightly faster.

A mecha came to intercept my greatsword with their own large ax.

"Although you foiled our plan with the bombs, it does not mean you've changed your end!"

The boss confidently blocked the greatsword.

After all, their side still has two powerful white mechas.

And…

"I've never expected the mighty hero Vlad to be just a child! Such a shame!" The boss said mockingly with increasing confidence.

The mysterious Vlad may appear tall and muscular, but it was no doubt he was just a mere young boy.

"So what?" I asked expressionlessly and retreated away after my greatsword was blocked.

"Still acting tough!" The boss scoffed inside the cockpit. "Kin, show our inexperienced hero your true battle prowess!"

The mecha behind him started to move forward, unsheathing two large soul swords from its wide back.

Kin was a former mecha pilot from the police force. He got caught accepting bribes from criminals, but he managed to escape their pursuit by joining hands with the Lobster Famillia.

"Death to our enemy!"

Swoooosh!

The second mecha flew towards me using its powerful thrusters.

The two large swords slashed downwards.

Swiishhhh!

"Huuuu!" A large amount of oxygen entered my lungs, causing my arms to harden roughly like steel.

The terrifying power of Soul Blood was constantly reinforcing my whole body.

I condensed every bit of my strength before slashing my greatsword upwards. It was covered by dense red mist that made it heavier and more powerful.

BOOM!

Two swords strongly clashed against one greatsword, producing large shockwaves and sharp winds.

The mecha trembled upon receiving my powerful impact. On the other hand, I was very stable and even started to push the mecha away.

"Son of a bitch! To think you managed to push a mecha back!" Kin cursed rather heavily.

Vlad was a powerful spirit master and not just any ordinary young hero!

If they let Vlad grow even more powerful, he would surely become very dangerous in the future!

Kin pushed the control handles to their limits, the mecha's thrusters exploding with a sudden burst of power to quickly overpower me.

"Not enough!" I grunted deeply with all my muscles swelling largely.

Bam!

I deflected the two large swords away, but the boss tried to sneak attack my exposed back.

"Your back is wide open!"

The ax of his mecha harshly chopped at me from the side.

I got eyes on the back of my head.

That's why I just calmly spun my waist around, the greatsword parrying the nearing ax.

The Life-Death Wheel rotated wildly to produce a vast amount of life-death energy that soon converged around the greatsword.

Rage Aura: 10/10 › 0/10.

All of my accumulated rage was released at once.

At my greatsword.

"Demonic Art: Wrath Edge."

A bloody sword aura.

A menacing blood light completely wrapped the greatsword.

And it swung at the ax.

Bam!

Crack…!

The ax was instantly broken into countless pieces.

"You broke it just like that…!?" The boss was astonished, but his expression soon turned into grave.

The greatsword didn't halt moving even when it destroyed the ax.

It continued on its path to smash him and his mecha into bloody paste.

The boss decided to throw the shield as a decoy.

The shield was immediately sliced apart.

However, the boss already backed away using the thrusters.

"Kin, save me from this bastard!" The boss cried out pathetically.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Kin controlled his mecha to release one of the swords in order to grab and shoot its secondary weapon—A soul gun.

I quickly went to intercept those flying bullets, swiftly crushing them one by one with my iron fists.

My eyes then inspected the entirely crimson greatsword.

The bloody sword aura enhancement was close to end.

"Blood Resonance!"

I chose to forcefully merge with Rosemary to extend the duration, now making it not much from my body.

As a result, the crimson aura became sharper and denser.

I've now prioritized killing the experienced mecha pilot known as Kin.

He was more experienced and skilled than the boss.

My dead red eyes now gazed at him as a marked target.

A pair of cruel eyes staring at a helpless prey.

Kin felt himself shivering terribly upon meeting my cold-blooded gaze.

His mecha cautiously grabbed both of the large swords.

There were signs of his instinct crying out for danger.

A goosebumps.

And his instinct was right.

I quickly leaped towards him, my crimson greatsword slashing downwards.

There was a high chance of those two swords also getting destroyed, so Kin instantly activated their true powers.

Swiiish!

The thrusters lost their energy, but both of the swords were now covered by extremely hot energy.

BAM!

Once again, the blazing white swords and the sharp crimson greatsword clashed heavily.

BOOM!

Again.

BAM!

And again.

BAAAM!

Continuously, without ever stopping their sword attacks.

BOOM!

BOOM!

One large shockwave after another.

SWIIIIISHHHH!

Waves of hot winds spreading throughout from the battle.

BAANG!

BWOOOM!

SWOOOSH!

THUUUD!

The swords clashed repeatedly from every known angle.

The boss could only watch from the side because he couldn't even follow our movements.

This was a battle between systematic swordsmanship against a brutal and mad swordsmanship born from various bloody battles.

Kin was slowly becoming afraid, his heart gradually sinking hard into the ground.

Over the fact I was growing faster with every exchange of our swords.

He was extremely terrified to see his own opponent gradually copying his swordsmanship that was born from countless hours of practice.

However, what frustrates him the most was seeing Vlad using it far greater than him!

"You thieving bastard!!!" Kin roared angrily with his attacks growing even more intense.

With every clash, I could feel my steel bones creaking eerily. My muscles were being strained to their utmost limits from my own overwhelming ferocity.

Even the Spirit Heart was madly pumping a vast amount of Soul Blood to fuel my whole body with unparalleled strength.

Such a fierce battle was causing my entire being to madly boil.

In the end, I finally saw cracks appearing on the two scorching blades and the hands that hold them.

The mecha wasn't able to endure the brutal pressure from my merciless onslaught.

"Break!"

As I slashed the greatsword for the last time, the two swords and two arms were utterly destroyed.

"Ah…"

Kin fell into despair upon witnessing such an overwhelming sight.

He was especially shaken to his core from the sharp pair of dead eyes that were sucking his soul into an ocean of blood.

There was only one thing he could describe such existence…

"A monster…"

A demonic grin formed on my face.

"All murderers, including you and me, are terrifying monsters."

After destroying the cockpit, those were my final words to him since my hardened fist had already pierced deeply into his chest.

Now that he's dead…

I gazed at the last remaining mecha, more specifically, the boss inside who orchestrated everything.

I walked toward him with my greatsword sliding across the ground behind.

"Haaaa… Haaa…"

Now that his most powerful subordinate was killed under my hands, the boss was robbed from his confidence and courage.

They were now replaced by a single horrifying thing.

A seed that couldn't be removed even if there was a next life.

A pure terror.

"Fuck, how am I gonna win against such a monster!??"

This was when the boss, who have previously looked down on Vlad, faced the true unadulterated pressure of death.

A suffocating pressure of death that crippled his other emotions.

Except fear.

That's why he decided.

To run.

The boss controlled his mecha to run away using the fastest speed of the thrusters.

"It's too late to even think of running!"

A cold judgment fell down.

Rage Auras: 5/10.

"Demonic Art: Fist Of Rage."

A brilliant crimson light pierced through the wind.

Like a falling meteor, it smashed against the large mecha.

Boom!

The large body of the mecha was smashed harshly to the ground.

I then jumped toward the cockpit and forcefully ripped the hatch apart with my hardened bare hands.

Inside the cockpit, I saw a bald man who was trembling without a stop. His face was so pale that it looked like he saw a ghost.

Yet what was before his eyes was something worse than ghosts.

"Don't worry."

I strongly grabbed him by the throat.

"I will not let you die yet."

My lips cracked into a hideous smile.

The only reaction the man could muster was to silently cry and tremble in the face of a harsh future.

There was only indescribable fear about his fate under me.

The terrorist incident was soon over.

Red Rose Pavilion was severely damaged to the point it needed several weeks to get fixed.

A huge blow to their good reputation.

However, it may not necessarily be bad since people were applauding Red Rose for the fact there were no casualties except for the terrorists.

Since the terrorists were eliminated, the police force couldn't do much.

As for the boss, I've thrown him inside the dark labyrinth.

In there, I was gonna torture him for information.

I just wanna get a move on with this filler. So troublesome to write.
