Chapter 9

"Lucas, why did you agree to stay here?" Kayla asked. She was so angry that her brother barged into her business even before the mission could even begin.

"Don't tell me you've grown a soft spot for this humans?" He scoffed as Kayla only folded her arms in reply.

"I knew it! Father shouldn't have trusted you with this." He complained.

"Lucas keep quiet! I have my ways of doing this and I don't need your help." She said eyeing him.

"Listen we need to be more violent in order to find the gem." He said as Kayla frowned.

"Gem! I love the gems you brought for me... they're lovely." She smiled as her brother looked at her confused.

"What gems are you talking about?" He spoke through telepathy.

"His right at your back, Prince Henry."

"I see you two are catching up quite well." Henry said as the twins turned towards him.

"Thank you my Prince for inviting me over, I have been enjoying my stay quite well." He said with a bow.

"It's all right, you're my wife's cousin anyways I'll leave you to two to catch on." He smiled and left.

"I just feel like killing him right now." Lucas burned with fury. "He was meant to bow to me but..."

"Just let go of it besides I've found some clues." Kayla whispered.

"Urm... apart from my powers not working on him I think it's because of the gem."

"So you're trying to say that the gem is somewhere around him?" Lucas asked confused.

"No! The king won't be that foolish to leave the gem in just any place." Kayla said sternly.

"Lucas, we need to double the guards and I need extra safety, get more of our men placed in stations secretly and as for why my powers don't work I'll find that out soon." Kayla said as Lucas nodded in approval.

...

"My king!" A young lady in her early 30's greeted, bowing her head down as the king who was seating in an old rusty chair stood up and immediately the young lady stood.

"Camila! It's been years." The king stated as the young lady smiled.

"Yes my king!"

"What brings you here? It's only when it's important you come over?" The king smirked, pacing round the room.

"The demons!" Camila stated eyes closed as the king who was busy pacing round the room stopped and turned to look at the lady in front of him. The girl which was an exact replica of his daughter, the only different thing was their eye colour.

"What about the demons?" He asked as he slammed his hand on the wall.

"They're back and this time they won't leave without the gem."
