The Beginning

They said that God created the world to serve a purpose.

To make life and experience it with others.

To become beautiful and share it with others.

And to create horrors that scared others.

This vital purpose serves humankind like a cycle that is not permanent in the world of change until someone defies it—created by the horrors to eat the beauty while mimicking the experience of others.

Experience and Beauty did something better they created something no one can replicate. This is what they called 'Life.'

With this vital element present in the space of time and realms of God. It exploded and created a world full of life. A world that is full of living being experiencing the beauty and horrors created by God and serving their purpose unknowingly.

Until another element appeared, not knowing who and what It does.

But they only knew that they defied their purpose and created Chaos.

A kid with jet-black hair was looking at his father in the depth of the forest. He was lost. He knew it as soon he didn't see his father anymore. Not knowing what to do, he sat on the mossy grown and started crying.

Not knowing anything in the world, his cry echoes the forest. He is scaring the birds and the animals while attracting the hunter of the woods. The boy didn't stop crying, hugging himself like he was cold. He keeps crying and crying until a rattling sound can be heard.

As the boy's tears slowly subside until they cease, his attention is captured by a rustling bush. Its weird movement seemed to divert his focus. His innocent blue, bright eyes glistened from the remnants of his tears as he gazed at the bush. He gradually rose his feet and cautiously approached it.

A sense of curiosity engulfed the boy's mind. His eyes show it as he gazes at the bush never witnessed such things in his life. As he ventured closer, the bushes resumed their rattling, causing the boy to instinctively retreat, taken aback by its unexpected movement.

''A youngling still unaware of his fate,'' a deep voice emanated within the bush, startling the boy. The foliage sprouted and intertwined, revealing a majestic oak tree with a bush adorning its countenance. The tree's gaze fixed upon the little boy, causing him to stumble gently on the ground, with its face showing a mix of intrigue and fear. The little boy did not know what to do as he just sat on the ground and looked up, making eye contact with the tree.

One of the branches of the mighty oak tree gracefully extended, transforming into an elongated arm, while a supple vine extended outward, gently enveloping the resisting little boy. Despite the valiant effort of his to resist and evade, the inevitable grasp of the tree could not be avoided. The giant tree tenderly placed the child upon its colossal oak arm, examining him as if he were an enigma in this forest, even though the tree recognized the little boy as a human.

''How did you find yourself here?'' the tree inquired, as its voice resonated with ancient wisdom. The little boy just gazed up at the tree, with a mixture of fascination and confusion shown in his eyes, unable to comprehend the word spoken to him.

However, the enchanting sound of the voice of the oak tree is enough to dissolve his fear and give way to pure wonder. At that moment, a radiant smile illuminated the child's face as his innocent joy intertwined with the tree's presence. Their gaze remained locked for a minute, forging a unique connection between a child and a tree.

The tree immediately sensed that the young boy had a limited understanding of his complex situation because he was too young. All the little boy could do was listen attentively. As the tree surveyed the surrounding forest, seeing nothing except the animals and giant tree, a profound bewilderment lingered, contemplating how the little boy ended up in the heart of the woods as if he had materialized out of thin air.

Amidst the rustling leaves, the ancient oak tree sensed a familiar presence, a long-old friend. In the shade of sunlight, an older woman emerged, wearing a verdant tunic that blended seamlessly with nature. Her pointed ears show her elven lineage, a testament to the centuries of her adventure. She was barefooted, and her feet melded harmoniously within the earth as if she were the embodiment of nature. The time she had etched on her face as wrinkles and scars the witness to a life rich and experienced of her.

''What do you have there?'' the old elven woman asked, her voice carrying a melodic timbre that resonated with wisdom like the ancient oak tree. As she made her way toward the little boy, his immediate recognition of her presence amused her.

'Quite the instinct,' she mused, her gaze resting upon the child with her gentle smile. At the sight of a familiar figure, the little boy's joy knew no bounds. His innocent thought that she, too, was a fellow human.

The tree extended a vine, creating a path that helped and guided the older woman toward them. Once she reaches them, the tree's voice resonates, ''I heard cries, and there, in the heart of the forest, I found this youngling.'' The little boy just observed the both of them, yearning to reach out to the older woman.

With a careful and tender embrace, the older woman cradled the child as if he were her own, her curiosity piqued. ''I wonder who you are,'' she pondered aloud as her question was left hanging in the air.

The little boy is captivated by her pointy ears and playfully engages with them, his innocence shining through in his delightful interaction.

''What should we do?'' The ancient tree's voice resonated. The tone of its voice shows a hint of uncertainty caused by the unprecedented nature of the situation. ''Avianna, how did a human end up in the heart of the woods?''

Avianna's eyes twinkled with wonder and compassion as she gazed at the child. ''This may be an extraordinary event, perhaps he is a gift bestowed upon the forest,'' she replied, her voice carrying a sense of intrigue as she allowed the little boy to play with her ear, his innocent fascination filling the air.

''A gift?'' The ancient oak tree's branches quivered, showing both curiosity and concern. ''Are you out of your mind? Why would this sacred elven forest bestow a gift upon a human?!'' The tree's confusion was visible as if it wrestled with conflicting emotions.

''Even within this enchanted elven forest, we still need to remember that humans are still beings, a life bringing a new experience to our world,'' Avianna responded with resolute and assurance in her tone.

Cradling the child gently and lifting him into the air, the little boy cannot stop giggling joyfully, as if he was being revealed of enchantment surrounding him. ''—But this little boy remains a mystery, for he is a human unlike any we have encountered before,'' she added, as her voice tinged with a touch of awe.

The ancient oak tree regarded Avianna with a silent understanding. Both knew that this child possessed the potential to shape the world in unforeseen ways. They are aware that an individual possessed with those power that could alter the course of existence could bring a new era of life, experiences, and perhaps, even horrors.

As the hour passed and the sun slowly dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow upon the slumbering child nestled upon Avianna's shoulder, the ancient tree suddenly spoke softly, almost whispering. ''What should we call him?'' it inquired mindfully as if it didn't want to disturb the peaceful slumber of the child.

As the sky embraced the twilights and the stars slowly emerged, Avianna's gaze lifted towards the heavens. A sense of awe filled her heart as if the celestial display was talking to her. A serene smile formed on her adorning lips. She turned her attention back to the child, his slumbering presence harmonizing with the ancient forest.

''I shall name him Arlo,'' Avianna whispered, her voice carrying the weight of destiny itself with its purpose. The name resonated with its profound significance as if the very essence of this enchanted woods responded to its utterance. It reverberated through the rustling leaves, whispered among the trees, danced with the gentle breeze, and talked within the animals as if this new name created something unique within the forest.
