World Ending?
A car was moving at an average speed on a highway in the rain.
"Don't open the window," a middle-aged woman said and stopped the kid from opening the car window; it was a family of 4 on their way back from a trip.
"Mother, I want to play in the rain," a girl said with a smile. She looked like ten years old and was wearing a red dress with a cute face and curly hair.
"No… hmm, we will after reaching home, okay?" that woman said to her with a smile.
"But…" there was another boy beside her who looked younger than the girl.
"We will reach home in 10 minutes, so wait," the father said with a smile. He was a middle-aged man.
"Okay!" those kids said and sat back in their seats while looking at the rain through the closed windows.
BOOM
"What is happening? Earthquake?" The father driving the car lost his control over the vehicle suddenly as the ground split open.
"Ahh"

"Breaking News! Strange things started to happen all around the world in the last 6 hours. Torrential rain was all over the world as the climate was changing dramatically. Satellites spotted many waterspouts in the oceans, which might cause a lot of damage to the countries near them. And Scientists are still working on why and how these things are happening…."
An old woman with white hair and wearing an old green dress was watching TV while sitting on a sofa.
"Oh… this looks bad…" she said in her old voice.
Ring Ring
"Who?" she shouted after hearing the doorbell.
"It is me, Venkat, grandma!"
"Ah, Venkat. One minute," she said and slowly stood up, walked to the door, and opened it.
A young man who wore torn blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black jacket was standing there. He had a very handsome and innocent face which would make any person feel good about him. He had a small bag and an umbrella in his hands.
"Come in," said grandma.
Venkat smiled and removed his flip-flops before entering the house.
"Did you have breakfast?" she asked him.
"Yes, grandma, I just ate and came here to pick Yoma up," he said to her with a smile.
"Why?" she asked him.
"Today is our first day of college, did you forget that? Wait… is he still sleeping?" he asked her.
"Yes, I forgot, and looks like he is still sleeping," she said and sat back on the sofa.
"Sigh… why is he oversleeping today…" he said and walked to a room; it was just a two-bedroom house with one kitchen.
"Yoma, wake up!" Venkat shouted and knocked hard on the door.
"Hmm?"
Inside the room, a young man slept on the ground, topless. He opened his eyes after hearing Venkat's voice.
"Today is our first day of college, you should know this! We need to go there first!" Venkat said as he knocked on the door.
That young man sighed and looked at the clock which was on the wall.
'9:08'
After seeing the time he sighed, he was actually, normally sleeping on the bed itself, but suddenly in the middle of the night, out of nowhere, it started to rain, and his big mistake was he forgot to close his window. As a result, his bed became wet, as well as him.
He couldn't sleep because of that, and he just tried to sleep a few hours ago, and now…
"One minute," he shouted and slowly woke up from the ground; he literally slept on the cold marble tiles, unlike his bed, which was even worse.
"Hhmm," he did some stretches as he was almost 6 feet tall, with tanned bronze skin, black hair, with dark eyes.
His name was Yoma Sile; he was just an average student and used to be a gym freak. However, he stopped doing gym a few months ago and became a bit overweight. However, he still maintained a good muscle outline and shape.
He picked up the towel and a brush and entered the bathroom.

Venkat sat on the chair while the neighbors' pets were barking and yowling.
'What is wrong with them?' he thought, but remembered he was in an apartment…
'Understandable'
"Grandma, I found a good TV show for you…" Venkat said to grandma
"Oh… show me," she said to him with a smile and gave him the remote; now he could skip this annoying news channel…
"Ah, looks like we found something here!" suddenly, something caught grandma's eyes.
"Don't skip the channel," she said as Venkat was shocked; he thought to skip this… 'damn it.'
On the TV screen, some people found a car which was inside the forest.
"We found a car with a family inside; it must be an accident," a young man said as he stood in the rain.
"It is a family of 3…All are dead."
15 minutes passed
The room door opened, and the young man, Yoma Sile, walked out of the door. He was wearing a blue shirt and regular blue pants. He neatly combed his hair and looked fresh.
"Woof"
"Meow"
"Meow"
Sile heard the noise and raised his eyebrows. "Looks like Divya auntie's dog is fighting with Ravi uncle's cat," he said as if it was normal.
Venkat nodded, he knew Divya's auntie's dog, but he didn't know who Ravi or his cat was…
Sile smiled and started to walk into the kitchen and said, "now, now, I actually forgot to tell you this… Jake made Divya auntie's dog pregnant! Haha," he said with a laugh.
"What! Haha," Venkat was shocked after hearing that and burst into a laugh. Jake was the dog they both raised; it was a Rottweiler which they bought him when he was just a few days old; since then, they both raised him as their brother, he was almost 13 months old now, and he lives in both of their houses, now it was time to live in Venkat's house which was just beside the apartment.
"Woooof"
Sile ate his breakfast
"Bye grandma," he said to the old grandma with a smile.
"Sigh… both of you… is it important to go today? I have a bad feeling," she said to them with eyes filled with concern.
"Grandma, it is nothing, we will go now, bye, don't forget to take medicine," Sile said to her with a smile and took his bag, which was almost empty… There was only one book that he had been using since his school days, and many papers were still left over. He also carried an umbrella with him.
"Let's go, let's go, we are gonna be late!" Venkat said with a smile, and both of them ran towards the lift. They were on the 6th floor, which was the middle floor of this apartment.
They waited a minute for the lift and entered it, and pressed G, the ground floor. There were already some other people in the lift.
"Please close the door."
A female robotic voice echoed in the lift. Sile looked at the door and saw something was stuck in between the doors.
"Please close the door."
He tried to remove the thing which was stuck between the doors. It looked like someone's ID card... But a dog's bark interrupted him
"Wrof"
"Jake?" Both Sile and Venkat noticed Jake was running towards them at a very high speed. It was his unique bark that made anyone listen to it; they could tell it was Jake.
Sile pressed the emergency button and opened the door.
He caught Jake
"What happened buddy?" he asked him as he rubbed his head.
"Wrof," he barked and came off from the Sile hands.
"What?" they didn't understand him, so Jake barked again and started to run towards the stairs.
"He is trying to take us somewhere."
They both understood him now and started to run behind him; they also understood someone like a lazy bump; Jake was running like his life was on the line. It should be something serious, or he was the first to tell them to take the lift.
They came down running; even though they ran six floors down, they were not much tired.
"What happened, Jake? Where are you taking us?" Venkat shouted at him, who was at the front of the exit gate.
"Wrof," he just barked.
"Looks like we need to run in the rain too," Sile said, and he took a cover out of his pocket and threw his phone and earphones in them, with an additional Venkat's phone.
"Wrroof"
Jake barked again and started to run out in the rain. In contrast, Sile and Venkat followed him. They didn't understand why Jake was doing this, but they sure trusted him more than anything…
RUMBLE
"This…" Sile and Venkat noticed the ground was shaking… "an earthquake?" they were shocked; even though it was small, it was still an earthquake.
"Wrof," Jake barked and increased his speed.
"Wait Jake… we should not run while an earthquake is occurring!" Venkat said, but his legs didn't stop running. Sile also noticed it, but since Jake didn't stop, he also didn't slow down, and both followed Jake…
"BOOOM"
Sile and Venkat noticed the earthquake power was increasing second by second…
"Run, run fast, the power is increasing… if the magnitude increases, it will be hard to even stand!" Sile said and clenched his fist. Because of the rain, his and Venkat's bags became wet and heavy, so they threw the umbrellas while wearing the only bag which had their phones…
Venkat also noticed it and tried to guess the scale of this earthquake…
"Watch out!" Sile said and grabbed Venkat's hand and pulled him towards him.
"BOOM" a big wire pole fell off the ground…
"The scale is increasing… oh shit!" Venkat noticed cracks on the Tar road there were running… and the cracks were not too far from them!
"Run! Run!" Sile never had in his life run so fast before, and so did Venkat!
The cracks were getting closer and closer to them…
Jake took a left turn, and both followed him… they just missed falling into the earth…
"This leads to the forest mountain… it might be a little safe there," Sile said
"Yoma… look at that…" Venkat said as he looked at the city… buildings started to fall, and they could hear people's cries from this far…
"Shit, shit, shit, shit…" Sile was shocked to see the apartment he lived in was also about to fall…
"Damn it!" Venkat was also shocked by seeing the apartment falling in the direction of his house.
"Run!" Sile said, and they entered the forest, and they could feel the ground shaking… but it was not that much as before. Jake started to run to the top of the forest mountain and both of them followed behind…
Jake only stopped after he felt the place was safe.
"Haa haa"
Both Sile and Venkat were beyond exhausted. They were able to run like that because of Jake; he took them on a safe route that didn't have anything in the way…
Venkat closed his eyes, controlling his emotions. So did Sile… tears drop from both of their eyes, but it was mixed with the rain.
Jake came near them and licked their faces.
"Jake…" they hugged him… they never thought something like this would happen, never…
RUMBLE
They suddenly looked in the direction the sound came from… "We need to run!"
They saw a big group of elephants running towards them.
"Wrof" Jake barked as he started to climb up the mountain even more, and both of them followed him.
"We reached the top…" Sile was about to relax, but his words stopped after seeing the sky…
