Lost

"I want to be alone"

I need to think about the disgrace I caused pulling me down into misery.

I kept walking like there is no end. I bump a lot of people along the way and they gave me an annoyed stare. I didn't even care to say "I'm sorry." When will this pain stop? When will I understand the words coming in and out of my head? I started to look at my wristwatch and the clock was about to turn 11, It's getting late and I didn't even realized that I was out all day. I looked down and I notice that my feet were about to sore.

Out of nowhere, I heard people started screaming, and then a loud bang in Brooklyn Avenue broke the silence.

I was taken aback.

Everything happened so fast that I didn't even realize that I was covered with blood. I saw a number of people staring at me. A lady beside me was hysterically shouting out for help.She grabbed my hands, "Please talk to me Isa," she said. "What is happening?" I asked in disorientation.

She looked at me anxiously in the eye, "Don't sleep, Oh Lord what have they done to you." I just stared at her asking myself too but I can't remember what happened. Suddenly I started to feel a throbbing pain coming from my lower limbs then it was followed by numbness, giving me a bit of a relief from an intense pain that is embracing my senses. I heard an ambulance coming, the siren grew louder and louder as it gets near. My eyes started to close while I felt the need to gulp for air.

"Help me!" I sighed.

Tears were involuntary flowing out from my eyes. I notice a brawny man placing an oxygen mask in my mouth while his assistant did a quick assessment. They count to three and carried me inside the ambulance.

I was looking outside the split window when everything started to dissapear, the lights were slowly diminishing... and I.... ----
