Mr. Knight's Glimpse

The sun was falling on the horizon and the sky was painted with a beautiful red color.

The air which was hot and humid a few minutes ago was now becoming cooler and crisper.

The clouds which were white and fluffy were slowly turning dark and grey, and the sun was setting behind the horizon.

This is the beauty of nature.

It never ceases to amaze us, and we never get tired of it.

However, this sight was not being witnessed by the people in the city.

Instead, they were in the middle of a panic, and everyone was running in a single direction.

They were trying to get as far away from the city as possible.

This was because a monster had suddenly appeared out of nowhere and started rampaging into the city.

"Help!"

"Somebody save us!"

"Please, help us!"

The shouts of help, the cries of pain, and the screams of despair could be heard from all over the city.

People were dying as giant feet crushed their bodies, and blood flowed on the streets.

"Ahhh! NOOOO!!!"

The sound of a mother screaming was the most heart-wrenching of all.

She was trying to shield her son from the monster's attack.

Her feet were moving as fast as they could, and her body was shaking with fear.

In her hands, a baby was crying.

A baby that wasn't even a year old.

She ran, ran, and ran, trying to escape the monster's rampage.

However, no matter how much she ran, the monster was able to keep up with her.

She had nowhere to run, and no one to help her.

"Please, somebody, help us," She begged, her voice was filled with desperation and her body was trembling.

"Please, save us,"

She was running out of breath, and her legs were starting to give in.

But, she didn't give up, and she kept on running.

Nevertheless, as she ran, her feet slipped, and she fell to the ground.

"Ahhh!" She screamed, and she held her baby tightly, trying to protect him from falling and getting hurt.

However, as she was protecting her baby, a faint shadow loomed over her.

She didn't have to look up to know what it was.

She could tell from the smell of rotten meat that it was the monster, and it was about to squash her and her child.

"Ahh! No!"

The mother screamed, and she tried to get up, but her body was too weak, and her legs were too wobbly.

So, as she tried to get up, she fell again, and her face smashed on the ground.

The mother and her child were now lying on the ground, and the monster's foot was now just a few meters above their heads.

The mother couldn't stand anymore, and the child in her arms was crying loudly.

They were both trapped, and they were both going to die.

However, even in the face of death, the mother still tried to save her child.

She curled her body up and used her arms to shield the baby from the monster's foot.

This was the last thing she could do.

"I'm sorry," She whispered, her voice was broken, and her face was wet with tears.

However, just as the mother was about to give up, a loud sound erupted, and a blinding light flashed.

Suddenly, the monster that was about to crush the mother and her child was nowhere to be seen, instead, in its place was a guy, wearing silver armor with black lines drawn on its surface.

This person's head was covered by an iron helmet which was the same color as his armor, and he was floating in the air.

"Mr. Knight," In a low voice the woman muttered the name of the person who saved her and her child, and in the next moment, the ground beneath her shook violently.

The knight had just landed on the ground, and the impact was so strong that the pavement broke.

The pieces of the road flew into the air, and a wave of air swept past.

"Thank you,"

Even though her savior had his back toward her and wouldn't hear anything she said, the woman still thanked him, and then, she stood up and began running away from the place.

She didn't want to get in the way of her savior, and the last thing she wanted was for her child to get hurt.

So, as fast as she could, she ran and ran and ran until she was a good distance away from the knight.

After that, she stopped and looked back, wanting to see her savior once more, however, the knight was nowhere to be seen, and the only thing she saw was a cloud of red smoke.

And, in that cloud, pieces of meat flew in the air.

Her savior, Mr. Knight had cut the monster into pieces that were now falling on the ground, one by one.

"Huff, huff, huff," The mother panted, and her eyes were filled with tears.

The scene was gruesome, and her mind was in a state of chaos.

But, at least, her child was safe.

That was the only thing that mattered to her, and that was the only thing that calmed her heart.

She looked at her baby, who was crying, and she gently stroked his cheeks.

"Shh, shh, it's okay, mommy's here,"

She cooed, and she tried her best to calm her baby down.

Meanwhile, Mr. Knight was levitating in the air, and he was staring at the city below.

The monster which had appeared in the city was dead, and it had been decimated into pieces.

However, the damage was already done, and the city was in ruins.

There were no humans in the streets, and there were no sounds coming from the buildings.

"It's quiet," He said, as his body shined with silver light and his armor began to disperse.

After that, he began descending, and as his body approached the ground, a black suit appeared on his body, replacing his armor.

He was now standing on the ground with his hand in the pockets of his suit, and his head tilted downwards.

"These monsters, their pace has increased." He mumbled, and then, he began walking out of the sea of flesh and blood.

His feet were now covered by shining black shoes and every time they were placed on the ground, the red liquid would move away, creating a path for him.

Ring!!!

Ring!!!

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks, and rummaged through his pocket, then took out his phone.

"Hmm,"

He gazed at the screen and read the caller ID.

His eyes narrowed at the name, and, 'Divine Slayer?' this was the first thought that formed in his mind, and his fingers tightened around the phone.
