Chapter 47: Doppelganger

I could not believe what my eyes were saying and it felt like all the air in my lungs had been sucked out of them and no matter how hard I tried to fill my lungs again, the air was just not enough.

I started hearing my heart thump in my ears and felt a little nauseous. Just then, Rachel lifted her head and smirked at me while Alex buried his head in her shoulder kissing him. In that moment I started thinking that I was having a nightmare and would soon wake up so I decided to go to the bathroom to splash some water on my face but found a very long line there so I went for the next sobering thing I could get, cold fresh air.

I ran back down stairs with one thought in my mind, to get out of there. I ran as quickly as I could with people packed in the whole house and some very drunk people in most of the corners.

I was about to open the door that led outside when it was opened by someone on the other side.
