Chapter 5: Demonic Aura

'A monster capable to speak..?' a confused yet delighted feeling surged on Robber's body. Unlike his remaining underling who is cowering in fear to what they've witnessed, Robber got blinded in greed of money and fame waiting for him. Imagining what he'll gain if they manage to capture that ' Monster' and bring it to the surface.

He even ignored the fact that one of his fellow member of Apollo familia got killed before them, despite the fact that none of them can follow what actually happened.

" Let me ask you again, who are you people..?" the silence of atmosphere got disturbed by the spine-chilling tone of the monster.

But the three of them remained silence, even Robber. It's not that they don't want to speak, it's just, that their body got frozed in fear and refused to move.

" Hmmn. I'm not interested in pointless fight, this dude attacked me even though I have done nothing against him. So if you leave peacefully, I'll spare your lives " the monster declared in a serious and none threatening tone as he raised the head on his grip.

As they heard what the monster said, their anxiety still didn't leave them. That's because they refused to trust a single word that came from a ' Monster'.

And while the two are cowering in fear, Robber made up his mind.

' Once it got distracted, I'll make sure to capture that thing. You'll let us leave?, Fuck that! There's no way I'm letting a Big fish like you to slip away. This is once in a life time chance'

Robber readied himself as he gripped his sword tightly while waiting for his ' chance'

And a few moments of later, the monster started to move, and their vanguard's head started to melt like an ice turning into black smoke. They can't follow what is happening, and few more moments, the head completely vanished and turned into a smoke which is later slowly getting absorb by the 'Monster's body.

Robber doesn't have any idea what is that ' Monster' doing, but this is the chance he is waiting for. As Robber finally suppresed his sense of dread and came to his senses, he activated every abilities he have.

" 〈 Stride of the Wind 〉〈 Body Strengthening 〉" with his chant, Pace of Wind activated enabling him to boost his speed tenfold, and with the Body Strengthening, that greatly increases one's muscle strength. Despite his greed and trashy personality, Robber still a Third-class adventurer in peak of Level 3, thus he's confident on his own strength.

" Don't falter, ATTACK THAT MONSTER!!"

With his battlecry, the two got snapped out of their fear and followed their Leader. They've been with him in a long time, and they trust their leader's abilities.

Robber charged at the monster at an incredible speed—

Fast enough to reach the Monster in a blink of an eye.

" 〈 Full Throttle 〉" with an ability to focus one's speed and strength in a single attack, he launched his gigantic sword against the Monster, ' Eat this!!!' Robber stated in his mind, it's as if he declared his own victory...when—

* BAAAAAMM—!!!!!!*

His fully strengthened attack landed on his target and made the whole place covered in a dust resulted by the powerful impact from his attack.

He extracted his sword and step back away from his location.

His attack landed a solid hit, thus this makes him think that the monster got defeated cuz no monster got survive so far with his full powered attack.

"Danchou, are you okay?!!" asked by his underling while Robber is catching his own breathe out of exhaust. He used almost all of his stamina to cast his attack making him completely weary.

' How's that cocky bastard, you're gonna spair our lives eh?' his mind screamed in Victory.

However—

" *thud* " " *thud* "

Robber's underling dropped their sword as they looked at the approaching shadow coming from the thick smoke.

Robber's sweat scapes from his face out of despair. In front of him was the sight of something that he thought couldn't have been possible.

The immaculate figure of Monster that received a solid full attack from him, is standing as if nothing happened. At that time, his body screamed.....

' RUN!!!! '

Robber forced his legs to move. A prideful adventurer plan to escape? he doesn't care anymore, his life is more important than a mere pride...however, it's too late—

Just as before they could move their legs, the monster moved with incredible speed, incapable to follow with eyes alone.

*flash* In a blink of an eyes, the Monster appeared in front of his two underling, then—

* Swoosh*

With a slash of it's hand embodied with a razor-sharped claws, two heads flew away from their own body.

" AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! "

The whole place got filled with a loud scream came from Robber. After his underling got brutally killed in a second, his legs frozed and later result to fall on his knees, he wanted to run away but his body refused to listen.

" *thump*.....*thump*..." a sound of footsteps slowly approaching him which made his body fall into extreme fear.

" I-I-I'm.…...from....A-a-apollo f-familia.... I-If you.....k-kill me...you'll...r-r-regret it!"

Robber asserted at the Monster approaching him, with an apparent trembling and cracking voice. Apollo Familia is a huge familia with around 110 members, thus Robber thinks that no one wants to provoke such a big time familia.

However, after the monster heard what Robber said, a wide yet chilling smile formed on it's face.

" Are you threatening.....ME! "

As the Monsters slightly raised his voice and stated those phrases, a devilish smile formed on his face showing his whitey teeth consists of two sharp fang as Dark demonic aura formed around him and bring forth an immeasurable fear to it's surrounding.... No...Even the dungeon is shaking and feels like frightened on it's presence and is bowing upon a single 'Monster'. An overwhelming pressure filled the whole dungeon that engulfed an extreme fear towards the creatures currently inside the dungeon.
