Cultivating in a Demonic Sect with my System

After collecting his supplies from the sect's resource hall, Li Feng quickly came out and went back to his house as soon as possible. Fortunately, no one noticed him and he was able to safely return back to his room.

Li Fan was not a normal human of this world where immortal and divine beings were real and cultivators ruled over everything. He was actually a reincarnated person who had come to this fantastical world as a baby.

He was born in a very simple village and he had no idea that this was actually a cultivation world straight from the webnovels he used to read in his previous life. He only came to know this information when his system awakened for the first time.

When Li Feng was just 3 years old and was still trying to learn the language of this world, he suddenly heard a voice in his head. This voice said -

Li Feng still wanted to ask some questions to the system so he called out to it. But soon he found out that the system was not really responding to him and was sending him a signal that it was just going to do what it was supposed to do and nothing more. So Li Feng became slightly disappointed and started to again think about the system's function.

This system's main aspect was something called upgradation cards. These cards were very valuable and were able to turn something useless into powerful and magical things. There were three types of these cards - regular, advanced and ultimate.

Regular cards were capable of improving the item on which it was used but it could not make something too extraordinary. For example it could turn a healing medicine into stronger healing medicine but would not be able to turn this medicine into a life saving legendary elixir.

As for an advanced card, it was actually capable of turning a healing medicine into a life saving elixir. This was a powerful item that could greatly improve an item's quality. But according to the information he got, getting an advanced card would be much rarer so he needed to think carefully about the things he would want to use these super rare cards on.

Then finally there were the ultimate cards. This card was special and it could only be used on some of the chosen objects. Using this would immediately elevate that object into supreme quality and there could be nothing in this universe that could be better than it. Li Feng would be given one ultimate card as his beginner bonus but getting anymore in the future would be super hard.

There were three ways how he could earn cards from the system. First there were daily missions. There was a list of missions on the system interface which were refreshed daily and Li Feng was able to challenge those missions everyday. Completing them would reward him with a few regular cards based on the difficulty of the mission.

If he completed all the given missions everyday for a whole week without missing anything, then at the end of the week he would get an advanced card as his reward. Other than that there would be occasional special missions that could reward him with these advanced cards.

As for the Ultimate card, there were secret milestones and reaching such milestones would reward Li Feng with one of those cards. But as Li Feng had no idea what these secret milestones were, he did not have any way to farm for these most valuable cards.

The second way how he could earn rewards was by gathering experience points. These experience points did not give Li Feng any kind of power but after leveling up by gathering enough experience points, Li Feng would be able to gain a level up reward which would give him some cards.

Then the final way of getting these cards would be the gacha system. Li Feng was able to draw a gacha once every day and it would return him a random number of cards of random quality. This method could give Li Feng Ultimate cards but the drop rate for that was less than 0.00001 percent. So he was not getting his hopes up. But at least this gacha was free and he would be able to draw once every day. So Li Feng decided that everything he would get from the gacha, he would consider them as a bonus.

With this system, Li Feng got his hopes up for the future. The system also informed him that this was a world of cultivation and Li Fan dreamed of becoming an immortal cultivator and flying through the sky. So for his entire childhood, he spent all the time grinding for the daily missions, drawing the gacha daily and trying to do all the special missions that showed up.

At the same time he was also trying to find some way to cultivate but in this remote village, no one knew anything about it. So Li Feng really wanted to meet a cultivator. Soon this wish of his to meet a cultivator came true but in the worst possible way.
