-Chief it's finished.

Toji said.

-Ok.Fushizawa go and bring as many people as you can from nearby places.

Tell them to bring at least two buckets or something like that.

And don't say anything about the food or water.Only tell them that the village asked for it.

Fushizawa just nodded and got out of there.

Then Kyoshi looked at the three guards and said.You two keep guard in front of the gate so no one breaks in and only let four people in at a time.

Also keep watch that no one comes inside more than one time.

The two guards just nodded without saying anything.

Kyoshi then looked at toji and the remaining guard.

-Toji and you will give the villagers that come here rice and water.So you all understand what I said.

-Yes chief.

Said all of them in unison.

Kyoshi pov

-Ok then I will go to the roof.

Saying that Kyoshi climbed up the wooden stairs to the roof.There he sat in the very back where on one can see him from that front side.

20 minutes later.

Kyoshi hears a big crowd of people talking and some people talking.But he couldn't hear it clearly.

The crowd pov.

-They do you know why the asked us to come here.

-I don't know but with what they asked us to bring here I think that they are going to give us something.

- Do you think it's food.

-HA.Come on like they themselves can't eat well.Why would they even care about us.

- Yeah but at least I hope that they will give us anything.

-Or he can even take away all of our buckets

-For what?

- I don't know.

As these two people were talking they heard the footsteps of a running woman when they were hit by her and fell.

Before they could get up the woman already ran out of their sight.

-What was that?

Kyoshi pov.

-The villagers should only be mad about not having food or water.Thay shouldn't be mad at me.Because even if Kyoshi wasn't a great chief he wasn't that bad as well.

He didn't do anything that could make the villagers more angry and took careful steps.So that's why he didn't come out of the house.

Just as he was thinking about all this things.He heard a women screaming from the front.

- CHIEF! CHIEF! CHIEF! CHIEF! PLEASE LOOK AT MY CHILD HE IS DYING. Please GIVE US EOME FOOD I HAVE ALREADY LOST MY HUSBAND AND SECOND CHILD!!.PLEA..PLEAS...please give us a little food just at least just for this child.

Kyoshi heard all of the things said by the woman.When fushizawa came from the back running and a big crowd behind him.

Then fushizawa got to the woman and picked her up.

Fushizawa pov.

- Ma'am please stand up .

-Why please just give this child some food.He hasn't eaten for 2 days straight.Please I beg you.

Saying that woman fell to fushizawas feets and grabbed the and put her head on top of them and started crying.As the five year old malnourished child lay in her arm.

Just as the silent crowd was seeing this from the back they all heard a demanding voice.

- PLEASE STOP THERE !

All of the people looked at the direction of the voice and saw a young man in big robes covering half of his face.

- It's....

As everyone was thinking who he was.Fushizawa came forward and announced to all of the people.

- People the one you're looking at is the new chief of the village.

Just as he said so all the people in the crowd started screaming.

- It's ITS THE NEW CHIEF.

All of the crowd looked at the same direction and that all saw the young man.His face nor his body showed any kind of charisma but they still just kept quietly staring at him.

Kyoshi then looked back at the crowd then he announced.

-I have heard all of you're pleas for help.So today I am giving all of the villagers food and water.

Hearing all that the large crowd broke into cheers.

- No wonder he asked us to bring these.

- LONG LIVE THE VILLAGE CHIEF

- LONG LIVE THE VILLAGE CHIEF

- LONG LIVE THE VILLAGE CHIEF

All the people in the crowd started saying that.

Kyoshi then looked at them and said.

-Please form a line and get in the building

below..Let's the woman and the kids get in first.

After saying that fushizawa immediately started sorting them in to a line and al lof them started to get in one by one.

After seeing the woman and the child get out with a bucket of rice and water.All of them erupted in a another cheer.

Few hours later

It was already 5 pm.First the crowd was not that much but after the first hour many more people came from further the market.Hearing about the free food.And there was also no accident in the food distribution.

After getting the food all of them just sat in front of the building and some were still eating and some were had already finished and looking forward to what Kyoshi will say.

After 30 minutes when Kyoshi saw all the crowd calming down and looking at the direction where he was standing.

He got up and stood in the previous place.

He cleared his throat and started giving a speech.

Kyoshi pov.

- My fellow villagers.Brothers and sisters.

-Today my heart aches when I talk about the village.

-About the dimmed laughter of the children.

-About our dried and barren fields.

-About the blood sucking bandit.That are stuck to us like a leech.

-About the hunger of the villagers.

-When my grandfather found this village during the second war.He thought about how he could bring happiness to the children, women and men.Who lost their soul and lives in the war.

-It was to bring them new hope in their lives so that they could live their life anew.And look here we are from those hundreds or so people that lost their soul we founded our own.

-But now..sigh.

-I won't hide it from you our village is in a critical state.And it might only been a matter of time before our village collapses.

-Even so it's not like we have faced hardships before.In the midst of the third war when the village was on the brink of collapse.My grandfather fought in the war and gave his life for the village.

-When the bandits first arrived here my father was in all the pressure still kept this village alive.

-When the two of them were in uncomfortable dangers they did not run away they took the responsibility.

-And I plan to do the same.

-Because...IT IS MY VILLAGE!!

-IT WAS THIS LAND THAT I WAS BORN IN!!

-IT WAS THIS LAND THAT WE HAVE EARNED THROUGH THE SACRIFICES OF THE ANCESTORS!!

-THIS VILLAGE WAS NOT HANDED OVER TO US BY SOME VILLAGE !!

-NOR IS THIS VILLAGE STANDING HERE BECAUSE OF SOME LOWLY BANDITS KINDNESS!!

-WE HAVE EARNED THIS THROUGH OUR OWN EFFORTS AND SACRIFICES!!

-... Sigh but alas I am ashamed to say that even some of our do not carry this will.

-But no matter what I will rebuild this village to my grandfather and fathers image.

-I only hope that those that want to help me build this this dream.

-If 1000 people doesn't help me

-Then 100.If not hundred then 10.

-If not 10 then 1 will suffice if not even that happens I alone will rebuild this village even if it cost me my life.

-But those that will help me in my path and be a companion it this my gratitude and respect will go to everyone of them.

Fuahizawa breathlessly looked at the man that has just given a speech.There was a glimmer of light and respect in his eyes that to this day he has never felt from anybody.A burning feeling was in his chest.

After hearing all this the people were silent for a few minutes before all of them erupted in tearful cheers.

- WELL ALL HELP YOU CHIEF!!!

- YEAH.NO MATTER WHAT WE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH THE VILLAGE CHIEF!!!
