Chapter 161 Not Letting Go

Back at the hotel, Basil Jaak unceremoniously entered Jessica Flack's room.

The room was a twin, with the bed beside it reserved for Lydia White; it was just that Lydia didn't return last night, so Jessica ended up sleeping alone.

After Basil walked in, he sat directly on Lydia's bed and said to Jessica with a smile, "I bet Dominic's face is green by now. 1.2 billion's worth of land, eh? Even if he were the grandson of the former mayor, or the son of the current provincial leader, this is enough to choke him."

Jessica gave Basil a look of disdain for taking pleasure in Dominic's misfortune and asked, "Where were you last night? You even turned off your phone?"

Lydia had just walked in and heard Jessica asking Basil. She suddenly felt weak, and without paying attention, she stepped on her right foot with her left foot. She let out a "yah" as she fell backward.

Basil, quick on his feet, stood up from the bed and caught Lydia by her waist, lifting her up.
