Seeing his stats, Klaus remembered something from the novels he had read. He knew that goblins were a greedy race by nature. And he thought that, because they were greedy by nature, would they not have a cave where they would put all their fortune?
Thinking this, Klaus once again runs towards the place where the goblins spawn. He kept running more and more. After a few minutes, he heard a loud noise. As if a big battle was going on not far from where he was.
Hearing something, he quickly hid beside a tree and stealthily walked towards the source of the noise. Walking step by step, he began to hear some voices.
"Come on guys, the boss only has half HP! We can do this." said someone who looked to be the leader of this party.
"Hehe We, The Exterminators, will get the First Boss in this game. I bet all our names will be announced through the server. We will become even more famous!" said another one player excitedly.
"We will get good items from this, Boss! The other guilds will not be able to catch up with us. We will get rich and famous!"
Every member that was attacking the boss kept saying encouraging words. Klaus was hiding 50 metres away from the boss and the players. There was a total of 12 players trying to kill the boss. Klaus looked at the Boss Information to see his level and HP.
--------------------------------------------
[Majik, The Goblin] (Bronze Boss)
Level : 4
HP : 3615/6000
--------------------------------------------
All bosses in "Clash of Heroes" have their own names, and they are different from the others of the same race. For example, while the other goblins were one metre tall, this [Majik] was two and half meters tall. Not only was the height different, but also the color. The other goblins were green and had a short sword in their hands, while [Majik] was gray and had a large club in his hand.
"Oh, what a good party, with only twelve people they were able to almost kill this boss. What a shame... What a shame that I will be the one killing it." said Klaus with a smile on his face. Klaus looked around the battle and found a cave not far from where he was.
The cave was 35 metres away from the fight, and if Klaus went around the fight, he might be able to enter the cave without anyone finding him. After making a plan in mind, Klaus walked towards the cave, keeping a good distance between the boss and the party. When he almost reached the cave, he stopped and looked at the fight.
The boss and the party were still fighting as if they hadn't noticed him. After making sure that no one was paying attention to him, he then entered the cave. He started walking very slowly, afraid of having more monsters or traps inside. Walking for a dozens of seconds, he was almost at the end of the cave.
Right in front of him, there was a pile of copper and some silver coins, two treasure chests and a scroll. The scroll looked very old and was giving off a strong pressure.
Klaus looked everywhere to see if he could see any traps. He paid close attention to this, so that he could receive the entire loot without alerting anyone. Sensing no traps, he walked slowly forward.
When he reached the pile of items, he started to pick the coins first. With every single coin he picked, he knew that he had struck the jackpot. There was 27 silvers and 72 coppers coins. In just a few minutes the money Klaus had in his wallet was already 31 silvers!
After picking up the money on the floor, he walked towards the two chests. Both chests were Bronze grade. He started to open one, and a progress notification to open the chest appeared.
1%... 7%... 19%... 38%... 54%... 83%... 100%
Opening the chest, he looked inside. Inside the chest was only a ring. Klaus used the only skill that everyone acquired when they started the game. The Identification Skill. With this ability, he can only identify up to bronze items and monsters whose level does not exceed 5. Any further than this, he would have to pay a fee for appraisal or get an upgrade Identification Skill book. The ring has this properties:
--------------------------------------------
[Spiderman Ring] (Ring, Bronze Grade)
All Stats : +5
Skill Effect : Able to create a spider web. Can be used to blind/trap/immobilize the target for 2.5 seconds, or climb any wall.
[Skill Effect Locked until level 4.]
[To get his revenge on Spiderman, the ring will give his owner:
- Every ten levels All Stats +10
- Every ten levels reduce cooldown by 10 seconds.]
[This ring can be upgraded if it absorbs SpiderMan's wrist-mounted devices. As this is a special ring, it will not be affected by the high disparity of levels.]
Cooldown : 1 minute
Required Level : 1
Description: This ring was a prototype of SpiderMan. Spiderman tried to incorporate spider-webs in this ring, but then he gave up because he found the wrist-mounted devices were more suitable for him. This ring in anger, not only copied the wrist-mounted devices functions, but also improved it.
--------------------------------------------
"OMG! What a godly item!! Now I can become the Spiderman!! 'Spiderman, Spiderman does whatever a spider can!'" Klaus started singing the Spiderman song in his mind. Klaus was completely excited, he always liked humans that had superpowers, and now, he had the chance to become one!
Klaus walked towards the other chest and started to open.
1%.. 13%... 22%... 43%... 66%... 78%... 99%... 100%...
Klaus was looking forward for the opening of this chest, after all, he maybe even get another godly item!! Also, before Klaus started playing, he read the report his boss gave him. Rings, necklaces, accessories and capes were rare items.
They were so rare that players would not be able to fill them all, even at the end of the game!! And it doesn't matter what grade the item is, because the skills would only lose effect with a difference in level by 50!
Compared to the rest of equipment, when players use weapons, armors, shields, shoes, leg guards, arm guards, and helmet with any special skill like the Spiderman Ring, the full effect would only be within 5 levels difference.
For example, if an armor was level 5 and had the special ability to reduce the damage received by 5%, if the player was level 10 and wear this armor, the effect will not be reduced. But if the player was level 11, he would not get any damage reduction. That was how the company thought of making people fight and make them work for better equipment.
Looking inside the chest, Klaus found a bronze leather arm guards. He quickly identified the item to see his attributes.
--------------------------------------------
[Hunter Leather Arm Guards] (Bronze Grade, Leather Equipment)
Defense : +4
Vitality : +4
Dextery : +4
Required level : 3
--------------------------------------------
"What a good piece of equipment. Looks like I will have another equipment to use when I level up." thought Klaus while walking to pick the last item that was missing.
When Klaus picked the scroll, he was shocked. He never thought he would be able to get this item!! After all, either the report given to him by Cecilia or the Game Company, nobody said that it would be possible to get Hidden Specializations!
--------------------------------------------
[Ancient Shinobi Scroll] (Super-Hidden Specialization)
Description: After a player reaches level 5 or higher, and before choosing any Specialization, show this item to the Tribal Chief and he will tell you how to activate this Super-Hidden Specialization.
Class Requirement: Ninja
--------------------------------------------
"Holy Sh*t!! I just struck gold!! This is even better than the Spiderman Ring! I have to get level 5 fast." Klaus put the old scroll down and started running to the beginning of the cave. He just remembered that the party was still fighting the boss, and if he takes to much time inside the cave, he would not be able "help" them.
